I love seeing that car seat in your truck. That's exactly what my truck looks like. I hope Little is excited to be a big sister! God Bless, Matt. Love ya, brother.
Sweet! I popped a 25 and a half on the white jackall rerange mr on Lake shabonna IL and I thought it was a small musky. When it got closer, I realized it was a stud walleye
Congrats awesome bonus fish Matt, been great weather this year with some awesome T.B. shows.you guys put me on the fish this year.thanks, as always great work.
That’s a tank dude! Man the fishing culture down in TN is intense. Fish Cherokee in the summer and it was a breath of fresh air. Just sitting in a Cracker Barrel and everybody was exchanging stories and places. Never been around that for.
They fight like a wet paper bag most of the time but by far the best eating freshwater fish I've ever had. I miss having some in the freezer. They don't exist this far south, we've got sauger but I've never caught or ate one of those.
Hey Matt, take it from a Midwest guy who's logged A TON of hours on Lake Erie and the Detroit River over the years, THAT was a MONSTER WALLEYE!!! What an AWESOME CATCH, congrats on your PB! When I was growing up walleye WERE THE TARGET species and smallies were the "pesky" accidental catches.
I learn so much from listening and watching you and Tim fish. That change up just triggers bites. Gonna start incorporating rod and reel twitches in a lot more often. Can’t even imagine how many fish I could’ve triggered into biting. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and experience 🤙
Been Sauger fishing last 11 days here Ky. Lake at mouth of Duck River and close by and catching around 10 to 15 short Walleye being 7 to 10 inch fish a day . Not complaining as it's a great sign hopefully for future as our Sauger have become almost nonexistent last handful of years . Losing grass added with the Carp it's not been at it's best as in years past. God willing we'll cycle through as many lakes do over years . More bait as in Threadfin and Gizzard than last several years . I don't believe I heard water temp on top Matt , if I missed it i'm sorry . Surely daydreaming chucking a underspin . Thanks for all you guy's do for us all and the Sport in whole !!! 53 -- 50 on top here depending !! Merry Christmas God Bless n Safe Safe Fishing !!!
Thank y’all for the great video’s I’ve put a lot of y’all’s technique’s in my arsenal especially the speed cranking. If y’all ever get back towards Tenkiller and want to do some fishing hit me up!
Love to see content from my home lake! The Florida strain largemouth have not quite caught up to those on Chickamauga, but in a few years I am hoping to see some giants! Awesome content, Matt.
As I watch you close out this video I see Sierras car seat in the background and think. Dude that backseat is about to have two✌🏼car seats🙌🏼 So excited for you Caz and especially for Sierra ❤️ Cool fish! Reminds me of the fish I’ve never caught before😬🤷🏻♂️😂
Great video! Here in GA I was smashing them on a shallow crankbait I even got two 3lbers at the same time with that crankbait! And if the fish would miss the crankbait I would use a swimbait on a fineness swimbait head to catch the ones that missed the crank.
Great video Matt. I also caught my PB walleye this week. Bank fishing for bass at Taylorsville Lake in Kentucky. Caught it on a 3.8 boot tail. It was around 3 to 4 pounds.
Saturday on Old Hickory was uncharacteristically warm as well. Got into a bunch of fish (a few keepers but mostly small ones) throwing a weightless fluke of all things. Weird weather just does weird things!
I love when i catch a big one early. Makes my day so even if the rest of the day sucks im still happy. I had one day in May where I caught a 20 pound blue catfish like within my first 20 minutes of fishing and caught nothing the rest of the day but it’s still my favorite day of fishing in 2021 and I fish every day. Trying to grow my channel.
Had an incredible multi-species, mixed bag day on Watts Bar about 30 yrs ago, by fishing a mayfly hatch near the plant. We threw ⅛oz brown Roostertails under a flock of grackles that were hopping from willow bush to willow bush, knocking the willow flies and exoskeletons into the water. We caught over 100 of 11 different species, all on light and ultralight tackle!
I had a day at center hill lake Tennessee a couple of years ago while on my annual fishing trip… 3.8 white keiteck. 25+ bass ( smallmouth, largemouth, spots ), a 12 pound catfish and a giant walley! Truly a day to remember!
TacticalBassin heading back to TN mid February… leaving dry lake So Cal for some winter bass fishing! 2 days Center Hill, 2 days Sail Creek… where ever that is 😂. I’ve got Center Hill covered with blade baits, tailspins, and underspins….I’m not sure what to throw a bit d south as the fishery tends to be ahead of the upper lakes. Any advice would be greatly appreciated 🤙
We have had beautiful weather. Im focusing on after the rain. Ive been fishing the same school of fish as everyone else and hoping the rain brings them up shallow for my jig.
@@tacticalbassin Still working on my photography :) Just got a Canon R5. I'm guardedly optimistic. Wish me luck :) Keep sticking those pigs though :) Peace.
@@tacticalbassin man I’d love to see what you guys can do at Normandy Lake in Manchester, TN. It’s an unbelievably tough lake but it’s got smallmouth, largemouth, walleye, white bass etc.. but they seem to be lock jawed year round. The banks are steep drops on most of the lake. Would love to see what kind of pattern you guys would find out there.
Welcome to the south Matt. Ive been trying to tell you it can be 80 on christmas. Im just a few hours below you and our water is 61 on the clean lake and 58 in the grass lake. Put your plans on February, start pre-spawn fishing early.
Nice walleye! Stop by Lake Erie on your north trip and catch 30 inch, 10 pound walleye plus giant smallmouth. I've considered putting inline spinners on an A-rig tipped with a nightcrawler, but never did it. Seeing you catch a walleye on an A rig makes me want to try it.
Nice catch Matt! That walleye is fortunate my wife was not around. She is generally ambivalent about me fishing at every opportunity.....but once or twice a year I get a clear directive to bring one home! Not so easy in my area either. But happy wife happy life huh? Great video!
I've watched you guys toss back perfect sized catfish, crappie, and white bass which are all great fish to eat. And now a walleye. Just curious if you guys ever catch and cook? Or are all species catch and release for you?
Being that they are California natives, you can pretty much bet they only eat freshwater trout and Pacific Ocean seafood. Kinda how it works out there….
Ha! We both eat a lot of fish. I'm not sure what all Tim likes but I'm always game for crappie, catfish, perch, etc... but not out of a nuclear power plant lake 😂
@@tacticalbassin I would LOVE for you guys to do a Crappie catch, clean, and cook video. Feed the family and branch out to other viewers. Love all of your content and everything you guys do.

Super curious to what knot you use for braid to leader on larger diameter line for example, when throwing big swimbaits. I’m New to throwing swimbaits and I’m not wanting to lose them due to knot failures. I know I’m a little late for a reply but still hoping you could get back to me.

I was fishing the Big Bass tournament on Douglas this year and caught a 26 3/4" that was 6lb 5oz on a top water. He was bigger than the winning bass.
Thats awesome!!
@Samuel Letner Yes. It’s a great lake.

That’s the first time I’ve seen a walleye caught on an a-rig. I figured it would work great for them and I’ve been meaning to try it. Nice catch!

Walleye is a staple up here in Mn and probably more popular than bass. Plus it's our state fish lol but that is a beast of a walleye. Awesome catch!
Love those surprised catches!! Thing was huge!
Nice job on the Walleye. Watts has some sleeper giant Muskies too!
