- And so. Here comes another world premiere. The brand new Audi S3 ABT Sportback from my friends ABT Sportsline. With a power bump all the way up to 370 horses and 450 Newtonmeter of torque. That is an increase of 60hp and 50Nm over the standard Audi S3. Equipped with 20” ABT Sport GR wheels, and in glacier white color, this little hot hatch looks gorgeous.

Very nice exterior..but the quality of the interior...a lot of hard plastic, I was quite shocked when I sat inside😌
@@dill8498 thats quite disappointing actually, I think now more than ever the leon cupra is quite similar in terms of build quality to the s3... And for the price, I tnhink the leon is an amazing car.

I would be happy if an ABT tune company could be established in Japan. Japan cannot be ordered unless it comes out as a part. It can be installed at the car shop, but the warranty is lost.
I can say to you to be honest: Some of their upgarde kits are just not what they promised. I know a guy with a Seat Leon Cupra R ST. He ordered that car with the ABT Package including the performance box, other Rims and Tires, and of course the ABT Badge on the rear car. The Seat Leon Cupra R ST deliver 300 HP Stock. With the ABT Performance Box it should have 350HP... and he measured it: 317HP (!). Do you know whats funny? I drive a Seat Leon Cupra R ST for my own and every car (no matter which brand: Audi, VW, Skoda or in my case SEAT) got some distribution in their power. My car got 324HP (STOCK!) instead of 300HP. So the guy I talked about got absolutely NO ADVANTAGE of the ABT "Software". But his case is outstanding bad.
A group at Facebook "Zeitenjagd 100-200 km/h" approved many times, that most measured times by ABT tuned cars don't got the promised performance, because the same cars with a individual software of other tuning companies which got the same promised HP are quicker every time.
So don't be mad, ABT isn't that good.

I have one complaint tho: the honeycomb grill should stay specific to R/RS model. It’s such a nice, unique, and distinctive feature and it shouldn’t get mainstreamed like everything else nowadays.

ABT are pretty bad tuner , their tuned cars often got similar or same performance as stock ones !! basically this one here have almost same performance as golf 8 R with 320hp

Really don't like the looks of the new S3 at all - too SUV like and the fake vents? At least this one sounds a bit better (not much) than the vacuum cleaner I test drove last week. Very underwhelming is the only way to describe the new S3. Sales guy just gave me the keys, so had half hour on my own driving it. Boring and ugly, I'm out. Not much hope for the upcoming RS3 based on this lame thing. Great video though, but you can't polish a turd I'm afraid. New Golf R is looking way better than this car (can't believe I am saying that).
A few comments if Audi is listening. Great tail lights, but what happened to the headlights? I feel they are far too edgy and a step back from the prior design year... And please don't follow in the footsteps of the Toyota Supra and add fake vents in the bumbers... This automotive trend needs to stop. Interior looks great, but please also stop with the glossy black plastics. My 2016 VW Golf R has this and it's a scratch / fingerprint magnet. Otherwise nice looking Audi.
Imho the uglyest interieur designed by Audi since ages. And those fake air vents and the overall fake all around the exterieur.... All over Abt tried to recover a few things and ofc did well like most of the time :) But for me this A3/S3 and (being afraid) the RS3 generation is lost and a serious downgrade of the A3 series since ages. :( Hope Audi will get back to the stunning designs of the past decade.(I emphasize another time: for me!)

Nothing really enspiring, fake vents ,not a great sound, stering wheel a little skinny and the over all design is like 10 different cars rolled into one. Don't get me wrong it probably drives well and for the record i have nothing against Audi but this car will not bring me to the brand.

Fire Cracker I disagree , I have sat in the new A3 and the interior quality is the same or better in some parts , the only parts that feel cheap just like in the 8v is in the glovebox and in the cup holders area
I think that this is not a problem at all , it is a premium hatchback it can’t have the quality of an A8 , but it has very nice quality and design in the interior
@@manoszervas9613 Fair enough, we can’t all agree. I’ve owned S models, and my last car was a 2019 RS5 and current car is the 2020 RSQ3. Not everyone likes them either. It is however well recognised in the motor industry and even Carwow that the fake vents and quality isn’t as good - personally I agree. I was looking forward to the new S3 as it lines me up for my next car which I hope to be the new RS3..... but now I’m not too sure. It’s personal taste, but IMO I still think they’ve gone backwards a bit. Not to say it’s not a good car! Just not to my taste anymore.

Am I the only one who diesn't like the new steering wheel? I love it on my S3 2019 soo much, but I sat last week in a new S3 and felt no emotions. It's a lot bigger, no flat bottom anymore... Kinda sad :(

1. Freaking LOVE how Audi intergrated the infotainment screen into the dashboard, while keeping climate control section physical and separated. At the same time big thumb down to Audi still making stuck-on, after-market-like infotainment screen on the latest RS5...why tho?
2. I like the climate vents arrangement on the driver side. It compliments well with the virtual cockpit concept.
3. It didn't show clearly in the video but it seems like all 4 exhaust pipes are real. Thank god for that...

1. FAKE. VENTS. Why why WHY? Let me just say: Fake vents are just like ads in TH-cam. You think putting purposeless, hideous cheap plastic pieces will further motivate purchases? Burp Burp the exact opposite! Make it real or leave it alone! The car looks nice enough with the real, actual spoilers and diffuser alone! You made the front right vent real while having the sensor together, why not on the left side as well!? Buggers my mind!
2. Audi tried so hard designing the smallest gear selector possible, which is of course a good thing, so as to make room for extra storage. But nope, the selector sits right in the middle of the console while leaving both sides GLOSS BLACK BLANK. Again why? If you are not giving me extra storage space, then why not just keep the previous one, which takes up the same space, but looks cooler?
It’s predecessor sounds much better....solid design so much that Audi failed to improve on it with the 2021...well except the work done on the new info-tainment/tech that they got going on new model...outgoing is hotter..!

I mean guessing that the new RS3 wouldn't look much different then the s3 apart from some small details, it could very well look something like this. Except it probably will have those 2 oval exhaust pipes.
The ABT RS3 is 470 hp....no rs3 killer but is nice. RS3 stock now is 400hp..
My 2017 S3 was louder than that, stock. RIP Audi’s amazing sound. Such a shame that the governments have spoiled the fun with particulate filters

Might be the camera angle but at times it looked like a Q3, bit too much room above the tyres perhaps combined with the size of the wheels, not sure

Hey mate I got a non abt saloon S3 that launched in the UK in October. Both rear vents are fake, on the front the (as your looking at the vehicle head on) left vent is real and the intercooler is behind it the right one is fake and there for symmetry of design I guess. A non tuned S3 has a soft limiter whilst revving stationary that tops out at around 3000rpm (new EU regs have screwed us over!) whilst launching the car holds at just above 4000 rpm when brake and accelerator are planted. I’m happy with it, was waiting for ABT to have an engine tune as until now there was nothing for this mode on their website. The RS3 launches first quarter next year (or so I was informed by Plymouth Audi) expect >£50,000 though as a start price!
