XLiqpe7even I take it your a big Ronaldo fan so this is my point my statement will show you why! I dont need stats as I know my football and watch both players near enough every week. Ronaldo is a great goalscorer but most of his goals are tap ins, headers or pens which is proved in his videos especially over the last 2-3 years. If messi stood idle in the box 80% of the time like Ronaldo he would have even more but he doesnt because he is a much more expansive player than ronaldo! A much more well tempered player with 1 red card in his career and honest player rarely dives earns his team free kicks constantly and pens. He's more of a team player his barcelona teammates rely on him all the time to make the difference hes also been very unlucky hitting the woodwork 16 times this season... on top of his goals and all his assists imagine what his tally would be at this point, its insane. Messi has so many more attributes its ridiculous to compare them both. He is what makes barca tick 24/7, the centre of every attack whether that would be key passes, assists or goals where as ronaldo majority of the time relies on his team mates to provide for him. Ronaldos movement off the ball is brilliant he gets into those positions where one of his team mates can pick him out and hes there to slot home! Messi plays everywhere from defence to attack (mostly as CM/CAM for the last 2-3 years)and hes still on par with ronaldos goals thats what makes him the best! If messi doesnt contribute in a game which is rare barca would struggle its that simple thats how much of an important player he is but real madrid have so many superstars that ronaldo can be silent most of the game yet real madrid can come out on top. Messi is better at dribbling, passing, Free kicks, ball control, creating chances, assists and finishing as stats show ronaldo shot count to messis is nearly 500 more! Ronaldo is better at heading (mainly due to his height), long range shooting, penalties, weak foot and movement off the ball. He plays as a striker/winger he should be scoring more goals than messi. Messi just has the vision a better look at the game. Stop comparing as messi is the best and always will be but there will still be deluded ignorant people who cant see that - you're blind. People who define Messi just for his goals should watch him more closely they'll see he is a player capable of more than just goals where as I and many others define Ronaldo on his goal scoring ability.
