Smart enough? What do you mean? All the work was done for him. He just had to put it all together. He's like that kid in arts & crafts that glues stuff together, calls his 'finished work' a gun, and starts running around 'shooting' people. It just so happens Link's materials happen to be functioning tech..

In fairness it's because they can actually meet and adventure with each other (in a way) if you use the Amiibo scanner. You can summon Twilight's Wolf form to fight by your side, technically making it two Links present at the same time. The only other two Links that have canonically met are Twilight meeting Time (Time is the ancient warrior that trains Twilight in the game) and potentially Link to the Past's Link being the old man you can fight in Link Between Worlds.
This makes me miss all my friends who grew up with different games,we used to act like this whenever we were playing cause we were kids u know lol we'd be like I'm link I'm link too and we would find it so cool that our links were different you know but oh man we all wanted Zelda am I right lmao🤣 just love thinking of fellow Zelda fans like whatever link was their first you know mine was wind waker but I love all these guys honestly been trying to beat them all
If only the rest of the Links knew that Wild was burning Hyrule because he lost his Zelda and had to spend 100 years in a device to bring him back from the brink of death which caused him to lose all his memories. I think by the time Time and Sky heard "I lost my Zelda" they'd understand and not need to hear the rest.
