Hi Ben I don't know if this matters to you but in Ireland we use old David brown tractors and rotate the axles and it pushes the tractor out of the water and we use them for oyster farms to go out in the high tide just though since you like off-road things and mud :)

I thoroughly enjoyed this video! It's *always* fun watching you & Nicole having fun. The people were friendly & the photography excellent as usual. But as someone who participated in the 7 Seas Campaign to save our ocean fisheries, you surely realize at the same time that there is something a bit decadent about all that money & engineering going into a 4,000 lb. vehicle that gets 14 mpg so you can drive up & down muddy hills, not really going anywhere, but just driving your own amusement ride in the great outdoors without much, if any, connection with nature. I didn't say it was evil, just decadent. Of course, at 15 mpg on the highway they're definitely costly to the environment. As you know, I'm a big fan & appreciate how inspiring people find your adventurous lifestyle. As always, best wishes!

I'm sure he realizes one of his favourite hobbies may be costing the environment, but like with most things in our lives there is always a cost. Brooke Blake A common problem everywhere with these vehicles & some drivers is that they don't limit themselves to the established 4-wheel roads, but also tear up meadows and other areas not appropriate for any vehicles. They also end up proliferating more "roads" by following someone else's vehicle tracks.
I'd love to do something like this but I can't drive due to my sight. I went on a 4x4 experience up in through the hills in Portugal a few years ago and the views and scenery was breathtaking. Great vlog Ben.

Part of it was in the forrest, part of it on the dunes, part of it on some huge ramps that made it feel like a rollercoaster and part of it on the beach. It was amazing! I'd love to do it again.
I just got a 2003 kitted Discovery for my 18th birthday and it's AMAZING. Despite the gas mileage it drives great on highway and in the muddy back roads at the swamp. Thanks for inspiring me to save up some money to buy such and amazing car Ben! (I wanted a defender but I still love my Landy!)
