Interesting seeing how he became more laid back as the years moved through. A great musician from my favorite band, FOTN.

nice to see this little clip. thank you for sharing this. wouldn't it be good to see Carl McCoy produce a book or something likewise that links his music, words, ideas, thoughts and creative process.

I like how his UK accent has him turn "th" into "F" like in the word, I Fink, or swallowed down your Froat.

Come on Carl, get some new music out there, it's been far too long! There's been nobody before or since who's even come close!

Do any fans have any other suggestions for interviews similar to this where McCoy actually starts getting into the lyrics and mythos behind his music? I find all of their stuff fascinating, but not knowing much about the Old Testament of Aleister Crowley, I've always been at a loss as to where to start when it comes to researching interpretations....

Maybe you found some answers a year later, but i write anyways. Carl is a follower of western occultism, specially Crowley and people from the golden dawn like Samuel Liddell MacGregor Mathers (i guess) and Austin Osman Spare. Of course it's fascinating reading all these people, because they are related to kabbalah, hermetism and alchemy at some point; but i'm more into early Theosophy: Blavatsky, William Judge, Olcott and the Mahatmas. You should check it out as well, 'cause it gives a lot of clues and answers to classic symbolism within religion and the occult (things that i'm not sure that Crowley, Mathers and Spare taught in their lifetimes). They may be one of the only, if not the only one, esoteric movement that deliberately talk of certain things which remained concealed for thousands of years to the profane.
DO NOT LOOK Theosophy involved with Besant, Bailey and Leadbeater. It's bullshit. And they fucked it up everything Blavatsky created at the time of her death, distorting all her writings and changing her esoteric doctrine. I'm pretty sure that Carl have read all of this too.

I also dont think the ancient texts such as book of Enoch are completely true. The basic story probably, but like so many other ancient writings, there is usually corruption or misinterpretation, etc. I only intuited this about enochian book for many years, but I channeled an entity who told me I was in fact right (take that as you will, but its true). So yeah, I believe Carl is right in not taking the whole story at face value.
