Fact, just because there's room for a headphone jack from what you can see externally at the top and the bottom of the phone does not mean that internally there is space. Those factors are usually determined by the engineering internally. Moreover, performance is not some flat score that is determined by weather a phone cost $500 or more. There are differences depending on the processor, GPU and RAM configuration.
i started using the A series for quite a while now, a S series is great but in the real world, i dnt really need it, thats why i went to the A series. i still use the A52 but wil def upgrade to the A73 now 👌👌👌
Jus bought my first flagship S23 Ultra, love it! Until now I've been a HUGE A70 and A71 Fan never expected a midrange to function so freaking well. A73 sounds phenomenal. Might buy for my mom as a gift.
I've had my A71 for over 2 years and it's still an amazing phone. I've put it through a lot with work and it's still going strong. I'm currently looking at the A73.
I like your approach to this review - a sensible look at a phone that does the daily job perfectly. All the spec chasers and the benchmarks and who can play Genshin for the longest time🙄 it's all just smoke and mirrors at this point. There's no reason to buy a flagship nowadays apart from the New Big Word (this year it's Refresh Rate) and budget units are what we mostly require :)
I have the a73 as my main phone and only. I find I can't use the 120hz as I use to much games. The camera are great but sometimes the ultra wide is better as I find it's more realistic.
@@TechDaily There is still places to go, the battery and screen need to be improved better I think, instead of samsung pretty much introducing it straight away with 2 of the a series phones
Samsung REALLY should have given this phone DEX support. There's NO excuse of why the upper A series phones cannot run dex mode when the Tab FE has a similar processor and has Dex mode.
Watching this on my a73 i get all day 8 hours even 10 hour battery performance is great the display is so pleasent the colours are wonderful the cameras are clear the phone feels premium to hold the ois is amazing the heat is controlled really well the one ui is so so good I can't stress it enough this is the best purchase I made and 100 percent recommended from me hope this was helpful for anyone who wants it and btw the day to day task goes smoothly the 120 hz feel buttery smooth the fingerprint works even with watery hand and i took underwater shots also take a shower with it although I wouldn't recommend anyone to do it thanks 😊
Its better to buy the A52s from last year considering it literally has the same specs(except the battery and the screen) and is much cheaper while still offering 4 years of updates.
It literally has the same chipset and all else is better on the a73. That's a better way to put it. Love the a52s though. I'd also say it's better to buy the a52s
Great video highly appreciate 👍 ... but need your personal opinion..am on A70 and I love it after 3 years..noo problems with it ❤ A 73 is much better? Thanks for any help..🙏
Honestly it’s worth for it for a series phone. I’m on a21 and this look like a solid improvement. I want to know if the TH-cam video quality it good or not. I’m hoping it’s at least 1080p. Also I’m subscribing.
I don't understand why it's so hard to get in Canada. We've gotten all the other A7- and A5- line phones. This one is like trying to get a PS5 two years ago.
I'm watching and reading this on my 2019 purchased A51s. Over 3.5 years later it's still going strong and working well, and still getting updates from Samsung. The camera takes great pics and videos. Only once did the phone freeze and had the Black Screen of Death but my neighborhood technician brought it back to life. He says this problem happens with almost all Samsung A series phones. I am considering a new phone from among A53s, A73s and S22 or 23. But I don't get this talk about charging bricks and lack thereof. Don't all phones come with a charger? Samsung fan for life.
Since 2021, Samsung "S" series no longer include a charger. The headphone jack is gone too. Apple took away those features first, and later Samsung followed.
One thing I can say is that you are consistent, another excellent video. It's good to see that people without a lot of money can still buy an excellent phone without having to go in debt as some people do. This phone is more than adequate for 90% of the population who spend money for phones whose features they never fully utilize but make them feel good to carry around. Excellent and enjoyed from Columbus Ohio
For some unknown reason, on my A73 5G, I don't have the Wireless Calling option. Not in connections via settings, not on Phone app and settings, nor a quick launch button. Any ideas? ON other videos, the option is above voicemail - but not on mine
How is the HDR contents support in this device. Does it support? I love to watch movies and animated movies. Is it worth considering for media consumption
I went with 400usd S20FE which is around $180 less than A73. Yes it is old but I tried a73 in store and the all plastic build just doesn't justify me paying almost 600usd for it. On paper, A73 camera should be superior tho but im plenty happy with s20 FE cam set up and the sd865 is fast plus I get flagship features as it is an S series phone. Lack of Updates should not be problem for me, I used to have Xiaomi phones lol
why is there a lack of updats for the s20fe?? and yeah good choice getting the s20fe I love this phone would've got it if I had found one new in my country , got the A52s instead , still happy with it , even though I moved from having an iPhone to it .
People complain about the phone price compare to me. I got it cheaply in a buy and sell online. The guy bought the phone and he sold it to me after 10 days. It was a good deal.
Will have had mine 2 years in august. Still going strong best phone ive had since my 5110 with a gold cover. Very very happy with it. Previously my nokia loyalty got me and i bought a sorroco 8. Beautiful phone but screen crack fallin onto my shoe then the battery started dying after only 6 months 100% nah that was just a trick really its 23% so i was very careful in purchasing this phone and it really it the best phone ive had forever. Good size but not to big,5g screen crystal clear, can take a bit of a beating with just its basic cover, good specs no slow own or jamming never have to repeat press, speakers are great for their size, easy to cast and connect with other devices like cars ect. Seriously my first phone was a phillips fizz in 1997 it had jelly bean shaped and sized button's. And could store 50 names and phone numbers and the sim was the entire card like credit card you slide under the battery. After the 5110 then 3210 then 3310 then i got a 6210 which was fantastic could store 100s of numbers was really thin and light the screen was white and it had the extra buttons but the best was the battery i could charge that phone once every 4 or 5 days the last 5% lasted all night till i hot home on more than one occasion. My last nokia after that for about 12 years was a white one the was really good but for its day was basic but it had a torch which was great and again the battery was even better lasting a week i think it was an 1100 or something close . Sorry had a few and just remembering them. They didn't exist till i was about 13 and the only yuppies had them. I got one at 15 because of living circumstances but was so embarrassed by it .wish i could go back to the 90s late 90s was so good i turned 18 in 1999

nice review, as always!! the lack of the tele foto lens and the disappearance of a 25w charging brick is a big letdown. compared to the Xiaomi 12 Lite which has the same brilliant snap 778g and a non glossy frame i think the 12 Lite is the better buy. but compared to the a53 with it stuttering ex 1280 the a73 is way better. for buyers of the Galaxy A Line the a52s with 8/256gb for around 360 bucks it's the best option of all. btw, the a73 has the same big and ugly camera cutout like the s21 fe which is a major design failure in my eye's!
Lollll. Comparing this to a Xiaomi phone really? The 12 lite doesnt even hold a candle to this. Samsung A73 is better in everything. Screen, battery, cameras, performance, ui. Samsung also runs ONEUI which is arguably the best UI out there while the Mi 12 Lite runs that shitty and disgusting MIUI that has adware. The A73 also has better software support, 5 years + in total while Xiaomi phones dont even get support past 2 years (if they dont break or deadloop before that). Also, most regular consumers would buy Samsung phones instead of the Xiaomi when they see the name itself. Samsung's brand recognition, paired with the overall quality and security of this phones makes the A73 best midranger out there.
You know that due to MiUI (Xiaomi has a huge market share too), people still say Android is buggy..where as it's not! Buy a Samsung, or buy a pixel. Hell even one plus. MiUI is very buggy! And till you are not interested in coustom ROMs, I can't prefer Xiaomi to anyone (the non flagship ones..)
❗️Bought A73 2days back it had android 13 oneUI 5.0 I went to sleep with 39% battery when I woke up it had 38%, only 1% lost in 7hours. The next day I updated the phone to oneUI 5.1 and it lost 10% in 9hours while I slept & it is losing 1-2% every hour while staying idle. Is this normal?❗️
I really would like to see the actual differences between the A and J models against the S Galaxy models. I feel like it's better to just buy an older flagship phone then buy the lower end models. I know there are websites for the specs but a simple explanation for what each is missing as you go down in price and then the value of those decisions. Some of my friends don't care too much about photos because they don't really take that many pictures. However battery life is normally huge for everyone I help buy a phone. They usually do not want to spend 800+ on any phone they rather just finance or outright buy it so they aren't tied up with a carrier. So a comparison to each picture vs what you see on the A and J series would be awesome. I would definitely like to see normal shots, not tripod setup or multiple phone rig setup. Taking the same shot like everyone does. Just point and shoot. Not everyone cares to hold it steady or properly use the lenses. Like my one female friend who always digitally zooms in.
Mrwhosetheboss has done two videos on this. Here’s the newest one ; th-cam.com/video/XzKbTtFhJ8M/w-d-xo.html But TLDW: new midrangers will have proper warranty, better battery, and longer software updates. However, older flagships are still faster, take nicer pictures, and have more premium features.
I bought an A73 last month and unfortunately i had to resell it because my eyes are pretty sensitive to pwm had to go for the iphone 11 and so far im loving it❤
IMO In many countries the A73 5G is priced a little too high, at such a price Samsung should provide a screen that is wider than just 6.7" it must also have color accurate screen display
This seems an appropriate phone for many, myself included. However, is it even available in the United States? I haven't seen it on offer, though I have looked very deep.
Idk should i buy it or not some vid say its bad dont buy it and some say its the best thing that have ever happened if any body coule help me in the comments plz do i sill appreciate it
The only difference between the A52S and this phone is the price! Minus the headphone jack and minus the power brick. Samsung is bringing out worse phones every year, comparing for the previous years.

Great video man, it sure helped me a lot, I couldn’t make a buying decision without this video, can you also make a video of comparing every A series phone this year and a full review of the A53?
@@TechDaily thanks. Would also love to see how the A52s compares to the newer A series smartphones as we can find A52s at much lower cost than the A73 and A53
both are great phones, I prefer the A73 due to a bit larger screen, in screen fingerprint, depth sensor camera, higher resolution of all cameras including front facing camera, front camera is 4K capable, the ability to use an MicroSD memory card, higher IP67 resistance and bigger battery. Another thing I dislike about xiaomi is their forced in ads while using their system apps I think the POCO F4 has a better build overall + Gorilla Glass front and back, but you can use a case for your phone anyways, POCO F4 has a stronger CPU+GPU Both phones are amazing, and you can't go wrong if you find the one at a good price!

This phone is excellent 120hz and a beautiful display worth the price!
i started using the A series for quite a while now, a S series is great but in the real world, i dnt really need it, thats why i went to the A series. i still use the A52 but wil def upgrade to the A73 now
👌👌👌
Jus bought my first flagship S23 Ultra, love it! Until now I've been a HUGE A70 and A71 Fan never expected a midrange to function so freaking well. A73 sounds phenomenal. Might buy for my mom as a gift.
Just bought this A73 phone. I'm really enjoying using. Paid £365 for it in the UK. Feels like a really good value for money.
Were did u buy as I'm looking for one @ a good price

I've had my A71 for over 2 years and it's still an amazing phone. I've put it through a lot with work and it's still going strong. I'm currently looking at the A73.
same. update?
I like your approach to this review - a sensible look at a phone that does the daily job perfectly. All the spec chasers and the benchmarks and who can play Genshin for the longest time🙄 it's all just smoke and mirrors at this point. There's no reason to buy a flagship nowadays apart from the New Big Word (this year it's Refresh Rate) and budget units are what we mostly require :)
I have the a73 as my main phone and only. I find I can't use the 120hz as I use to much games. The camera are great but sometimes the ultra wide is better as I find it's more realistic.
Interesting! I think the ultra wide is definitely improved vs the previous phones too
@@TechDaily There is still places to go, the battery and screen need to be improved better I think, instead of samsung pretty much introducing it straight away with 2 of the a series phones
@@ezrawilson6125do you have blurry issue when play games because i have idk why
Samsung REALLY should have given this phone DEX support. There's NO excuse of why the upper A series phones cannot run dex mode when the Tab FE has a similar processor and has Dex mode.
The Xcover 6 Pro has the same chip and has Dex. Maybe a way to push people to S series
I have my a71 for 1,5 year now and have no complains. I think a52s is a better deal than a73
A72 better deal as it's similar and cheaper with a headphone jack
Its better to buy the A52s from last year considering it literally has the same specs(except the battery and the screen) and is much cheaper while still offering 4 years of updates.
It literally has the same chipset and all else is better on the a73. That's a better way to put it. Love the a52s though. I'd also say it's better to buy the a52s
Great video highly appreciate 👍 ... but need your personal opinion..am on A70 and I love it after 3 years..noo problems with it ❤ A 73 is much better? Thanks for any help..🙏
if they give the A73 dex support ,it is really a flagship killer.
They should add it
Honestly it’s worth for it for a series phone. I’m on a21 and this look like a solid improvement. I want to know if the TH-cam video quality it good or not. I’m hoping it’s at least 1080p. Also I’m subscribing.
If you will spend this much on an A series phone, it’s better to go with S20 FE 5G! A7* phones have always been too expensive
I generally agree with that - the S20 FE was the best phone Samsung ever made. The S21 FE however was a miss..too little too late 🙁
I don't understand why it's so hard to get in Canada. We've gotten all the other A7- and A5- line phones. This one is like trying to get a PS5 two years ago.
what a great mobile phone the samsung galaxy A73 is cool ass
Would you recommend the A73 over the A53?
Yeah the issue with the A73 is that phones like the S21 FE are often available for not that much extra.
S21 FE is way less performant!
How is the HDR contents support in this device. Does it support? I love to watch movies and animated movies. Is it worth considering for media consumption
i bought a a70 in like 2019, but im really excited about the new a73, i hope i will be able to get it.
My A71 5g has a 5000mh battery and charges from 10% to full in a little less than an hour, not sure if is different but I don't think it is
Will have had mine 2 years in august. I got one at 15 because of living circumstances but was so embarrassed by it .wish i could go back to the 90s late 90s was so good i turned 18 in 1999
who is better overall performance especially in gaming.. xiaomi 11t pro or samsung a73 5g? thanks..
Xiaomi 11tpro is a beast. You can't just compare the two.
This is better than I thought. Better than Moto's G series actually. If it was on prepaid networks for $100, I would be getting this.
The best of all the a series is a22, a52s, a71 and a73 5g is where all the effort went. The rest were just thrown together.
In the Philippines, they include the battery charger finally after criticisms from consumers. Luckily I avail it.. Look great for my a73.
Same, i just bought yesterday and gave me a free charger...
I think this promo is only until December 31, 2022.

Better than A72 but too pricey, A52s is better than this if 6.5' screen is ok to use.
just baught a slightly used A73 , been worried what experts will say, now i feel lucky i got it at a discounted price !
That was a smooth ad integration, but there's no way it doesn't kill your audience retention to put it in the very beginning of the video. I love the video though Can't wait for the next one.
Great video man, was thinking of buying the s21 ultra, but after this video I'm going with the a73 5g. Quick question if you don't mind: where do you download your games from? Like Batman & asphalt
Ambil a73 aja bang
Pls advice who is best for camara and long time uses one plus 10 r or A73. Pls advice.
nice review, as always!! the lack of the tele foto lens and the disappearance of a 25w charging brick is a big letdown. compared to the Xiaomi 12 Lite which has the same brilliant snap 778g and a non glossy frame i think the 12 Lite is the better buy. but compared to the a53 with it stuttering ex 1280 the a73 is way better. for buyers of the Galaxy A Line the a52s with 8/256gb for around 360 bucks it's the best option of all. btw, the a73 has the same big and ugly camera cutout like the s21 fe which is a major design failure in my eye's!
Can you tell me if this device is compatible with samsung pay?
Mrwhosetheboss has done two videos on this. Here’s the newest one ;
th-cam.com/video/XzKbTtFhJ8M/w-d-xo.html
But TLDW: new midrangers will have proper warranty, better battery, and longer software updates. However, older flagships are still faster, take nicer pictures, and have more premium features.
Where would you buy this phone? It's not on samsungs website
I bought an A73 last month and unfortunately i had to resell it because my eyes are pretty sensitive to pwm had to go for the iphone 11 and so far im loving it❤
No HeadPhOnE JaCk...? 😞
does it have a haptic feedback or not?
IMO In many countries the A73 5G is priced a little too high, at such a price Samsung should provide a screen that is wider than just 6.7" it must also have color accurate screen display
Natural mode in display settings
@C W
I mean for RGB balance, Grayscale, dE2000 avg. the factory default value is less accurate even though it's in natural mode.
This seems an appropriate phone for many, myself included. However, is it even available in the United States? I haven't seen it on offer, though I have looked very deep.
It’s unfortunately not “officially” a U.S. phone, but depending on your carrier, an unlocked international version of the A73 5G should work fine
@@TechDaily do you recommend a best way to acquire an unlocked international version?

The only difference between the A52S and this phone is the price! Minus the headphone jack and minus the power brick.
Samsung is bringing out worse phones every year, comparing for the previous years.
They are taking to much from apple they need to bring back the ho,e button, head phone jack and the sd card slot without them they are trash

I use my Samsung galaxy phone heavily, and it's still fantastic. Have decided to by a Samsung tv
Between the Poco F4 and Samsung A73, which one would you recommend?
both are great phones, I prefer the A73 due to a bit larger screen, in screen fingerprint, depth sensor camera, higher resolution of all cameras including front facing camera, front camera is 4K capable, the ability to use an MicroSD memory card, higher IP67 resistance and bigger battery.
Another thing I dislike about xiaomi is their forced in ads while using their system apps
I think the POCO F4 has a better build overall + Gorilla Glass front and back, but you can use a case for your phone anyways, POCO F4 has a stronger CPU+GPU
Both phones are amazing, and you can't go wrong if you find the one at a good price!
