- This truck tractor (NOT MINE!!!) got stuck crosswise in a slick muddy path at a county fair after a heavy rain. He spun his wheels helplessly until he got pulled out.

I think i could listen to that turbo struggle and strain all day!
It was stuck there for 3-4 hours. Two different pickup trucks and a loader tried to pull it out, but the ground was too slippery. Finally, two big pickups chained together got it out.
That turbo whistle OHH MY GOD!!
Mighty turbo sound!
None of the trucks in sweden sounds like that
no more this sound in the U.S. anymore
"what are you doin tonight?" "ah nothin much just takin my international muddin"
He was showing off - at first. Then he got tired of that and actually tried getting out, but he never did put chains on. It took two 4WD pickups together to eventually pull him out.
love the sound of that turbo...
International 9700 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Love the turbo sound
Sounds like a Cummins N14. Sweet engine, better than the engines today with all the emission crap on it
It is been 16 years since the video was made. Like it!
yes it is a cummins, but like he said, it does not matter what kind of engine it has. These trucks are helpless with no trailer and weight in them. I am a trucker of 30 yrs.
I work for Wisconsin Kenworth as a diesel mechanic.I drive trucks every day and I have got bobtail trucks with bald tires stuck in the back lot in alot more mud. OHH did I mention I'm a avid 4 wheeler. You don't always need to spin the ever livin shit out of your tires to get unstuck in places. Its all in how you drive.
Great! I want to rename this page as "Hillbilly Dyno Test"!
Listen to the sweet music of the turbo
Timothy Mwangi 😏😏😏
Gotta love that turbo
hmm i like the sound off that engine. sounds good and powerfull
Unlucky , but a sweet sounding truck
he needed to create a firm ground, by that i mean, gettin maybe some wood or rocks and setting them behind the rear axles and punching reverse out hehehe classic
man the sound was way better than the deuce military GM
I bet the driver of that truck was thinking,
Why don't you put down that damn camera
and get something and pull me out!!!!!!!
Nice Turbo Sound!
Get two ladies from the fried cheese curd stand to come and sit on the back.
OMG! the sound of that turbo diesel is almost orgasmic
The weel are getting ready to blow
Are you kidding me?
It's a Semi, which means it's a Diesel and all diesel's have a turbo.
Greeeeat sound of that turbo!!!!!!!!!!!! Whistling?
None. Trucks run 100psi per tire. There's a system called Catseye that equals air between each set of duals.
I love a big Diesel engine sound
hes just making it more and more stuck in the front
I got my 2005 volvo stuck in a deep mud hole 6 monthes
Thought i was going to make it through while turning then trailer red line poped off and was stuck real good had to have another buddy come pull me out with his truck and trailer was not fun but very funny now
that turbo sounds ace
what is that system called that lowers the tire pressure and then inflates it to 30 psi to help stuck semis?
After 13 yrs it's still stuck
Lol
i love those internationals cab overs
Awesome turbo whine, awesome.... And yea hilarious video, truck doing skids, can't beat that haha
El turbo que hermoso suena 😍😍🥰🤤
It looks like a box of glazed donuts mmmmm.
even though this guy doesnt know how to get another vehicle to pull him out, i fucking love the sound of the turbo winding up... music to my ears.
listen to that turbo
@deadly4some sounds like a Big Cam Cummins. not THAT much power. it's got plenty, but not that much. only 8 wheels drive the truck with the differential locked and that's also a freeway truck with road tires.
i actually got a truck stuck over a pot hole once when i was about to hook up to a trailer. had to use my lockers to get out of a pot hole...couldnt believe it lol.
as soon as mud is all over your tyers its like driving with slicks on ice
Love the sound a turbo
problem is all the weight is in the front which is obvious, but we weren't there so its hard to judge, can make assumptions and everything, but really don't know, but I have seen end loaders get stuck on wet grass due to weight and tires they had, so i mean its not like it can't happen.
all the weight over the front wheels=truck stuck in mud
If it slips it's not gonna break anything, if it grabs solid is a different story. Threads don't aid traction they defeat hydroplaning, so clean or dirty tire threads won't matter on wet grass.
that happend here one year at our fair, it was a total mud bog that day : /
This isn't a Mack, its a International 9700 cabover. Also do you know what kind of diesel motor that truck has? Sounds sorta like a Big Cam Cummins to me.
@skvoucher difference? both tires are spinning at same time
i would do the same as him just because of that turbo whistle lol
walmart didnt have the set back axles either and internationals are dam good trucks one of the best
oh. i thought the PowerStroke came out in '96. thanks fer the info man!!!!!
how did it get there in the first place
does he have traction control on??
heres a bit of advise: if youre stuck, dont just sit there and spin your wheels. youll just dig in deeper and lessen your chances of getting out.
Yeah thats an international truck.....Turbo sounds good but not enough weight on the rear end
not necessarily. there were a few without turbos. for instance-the 7.3L Ford IDI Diesel didn't come with a turbo. it was just a diesel. they still pulled and ran GREAT. there were actually quite a few diesels made without turbos.
Railer505, I agree. But once you clog the treads with mud AND have no weight on the drive axles, it's astoundingly easy to get stuck like this.
How r u?
🙏
Specially those front heavy cabovers with set back front axle. No weight over drives!....He could try flattening his tires if he has a means to inflate them. But a fairgrounds gotta have a tractor some where to pull his pumpkin.
ahhh wet grass, the best thing to make people happy
great sound!, but what is he looking for on a muddy field with this truck ? :o
Its a IH 9700, you can tell if you look at the top step on the right side. The 9800's top step is wider.
lockers wouldn't have helped because all wheels were spinning
What's the name of this truck, I mean model? This is by International right?
Keep grabbing gears till you get into high, you might not come out but it will keep slinging dirt and spin the tires so it will look cool
Font of tractor to heavy for the ground 😂
A 18 inch piece of chain or so can be used through the rim hole and acts like instant tire chains on the outside tires.
nice turbo sound
A power divider doesn't turn the axle into posi. It makes both the front and rear axles pull, which is exactly what is happening in this video. Easy on the name calling until you learn just a tad about how trucks really work.
coarse? as in coarse grain?
right. the 7.3 IDI didnt come with a turbo until 1996. when the IDI became the PowerStroke.
the truck itslef is a international 9700. he got stuck. because all the weight is on the front. theres almost no weight on the drive tires, so there's no grip. amazing what a little wet grass can do huh?
Nice sound from the turbo though =D
you would think it'd be that easy but it's not, spinning the tires on a truck like that is dangerous--there's so much torque that if the tires did suddenly grab, something could get broke. When stuck it's better to crawl and not spin the tires than to get frustrated and nail the gas hoping you eventually get moving.
sure does. anyone tell what lump it is from the sound? cat, maybe? guess he didnt have crosslocks
Como hicieron para sacarlo? con que lo sincharon?
i wish i had that cabover...
yea They have a lot of those International cabovers, and feightliner century
YYYEEHHAAWW billy bob dun got his semi truck sturck in dat dere mmudd!!
yup.got stuck once with my triler fully laden with 44 tonnes.the more i acclelerate, the deeper it sunk.damn frustrating.the ground was left with a deep hole after that
The diff is locked and that is probably the back lot of a fair grounds. Cab-over trucks get stuck because of all the weight is forward.I've been driving trucks for 15yrs. and to read all the comments are quite entertaining... NOOBS
@pirson28 it may not have to but alot of times when semis spin like that without a differential syncro the two drive axles spin at different speeds causing damage to one or both axles. but always a chance it was fine too. nice detroit sound commin outta that truck too
Highway tires belong a highway. A little dew on grass and their stuck, like a damn lawnmower tire and the fact it's a cab over is even worse with maybe 20% of the weight over the drives.
you can sure hear the turbo
lawl its like a turtle on it's shell. no weight on the rear tires hah
sounds very nice
« Бег на месте , общепремиряюший » - короче МАЙЛЫ НЕ ИДУТ
Chuck Norris could have round-house kicked that truck out of there...
@bryce3685 As opposed to a trucker who doesnt drive in snow storms?
Call a tow truck
He's outstanding in his field.
What the hell was that truck doing out into the middle of no where?
What if this thing is still stuck
any truck with no load and highway tires would get stuck there...
Sounds good.
How on earth did this guy get sutck, and what is he doing in the middle of a grassy field anyways? He shoulda used alot lime stone in this case, spread the lime stone under the tire and slot to alot slowly move the truck.
Poor sap almost killed it when he popped the clutch, It also sucks gettin suck in a F650 tow truck...............
Was he the last one to arrive at the next lot! lol, he was running late!
Lots of "experts" here. all of you must be experienced truck drivers I guess? Not hard to get a bobtail tractor stuck. He could have parked here when it was dry, then it rained.
