The mighty VW Touareg. This is my personal car for the last year and it's an awesome car. It gives you a good sense of security and it basically has the ability to take you everywhere. And it is truly a strange (in a good way) feeling in what luxury you can cruise through hills, forests or mountains.
It's adjustable air suspension is great, meaning you can go slow and high or you can cruise fast and low.
It's maintenance is of course higher than a regular sedan, but not necessarily something to be scared off. It has a really low sale price, so you can get one cheap and if you put some money down for the inevitable surprises, you will be good.
On the downsides part, the 2.5 TDI engine feels often too small. If speed is not an important factor and you don't expect brutal accelerations, than this performs well. However, if you want something with more muscle and you're ok in paying the extra taxes involved, the 3.0 TDI is a better option for you.
Altough it does has a lot of pros (confort, style, security, offroad capability) and a lot of cons (fuel consumption, maintenance, acceleration), overall, it is a great car, which you mainly buy with your heart and not with your logic :)
P.S.: There are some baby noises in the video as a bonus, so you can hear how quiet it is in the cabin :)

Salutare.

      - discuri frana - 500 lei bucata
      - placute - 450 lei fata
      - perna aer - 1500 lei
      - compresor - reconditionare 650 lei, nou after market 3500 lei
      - stop spate (200 lei dezmembrări)
      - motoras parbriz luneta (200 lei dezmembrări)
Revizie - in jur de 1000 lei, schimb ulei in cutie - 1500 lei
Preturile sunt orientative, sigur gasesti si mai ieftin si mai scump. Partea buna e ca gasesti foarte multe piese in dezmembrări, la preturi mai mult decat decente

Hey i have a question,I looked at a Touareg 2004 2.5tdi r5 and test drove it,it had the dpf and catalizator taken off and it goes pretty well.BUT! The price is really low,and i was wondering why it is like that. The differentials button is blinking and he said it cant go in low speeds. Also said he changed the transmision.Motor is pretty quiet , can you tell my should i buy it?

Hey. I would say definetely not. These are awesome cars, but not that cheap to repair. You're better of if you get one which is in better condition and has a good service history. However, if you wanna get a project car and know a good mechanic, usuallly you can find enough of them in salvage yards and get cheap parts there

@@AndreiAndrei-rt4po Overall, the model is very reliable IF maintained correctly. Unfortunately there are a lot of cars on sale which have not been taken care of properly and give the car an unfair reputation. I have seen people who have not invested for years anything else than regular maintenance parts but indeed I have seen people who had expensive repairs done (even changing the entire engines). Also, it's wise when you buy a car with over 200-300k kilometers to expect that things will start to fail, so you don't get dissapointed.
Bottom line, as for any car, if you get one that has been take care off, you will have decent to minimum investments. Else, prepare to have a good amount of cash reserved for repairs :)
