This list barely scratches the surface of USA travel destinations... so drop your recommendations in the comments!
Hi Allison! I wonder if you could do a California focused video. Like you mentioned in your video the state has a lot to offer! Thanks 😊
My favorite group trips are to San Francisco, DC, and New Orleans. My fave solo trips were to Memphis and Philadelphia.
Myself Aryan , I am from India 🇮🇳, I regular checked up your all video , I wait for ur videos,
I must say the places that u had shown in the video, I will travel on those places once in my life time, it was very fab places to visit. Thank u for having such interesting video and helping in to create my adventure toor to explores more❤
do a longer one
Southwestern Colorado/Eastern Utah/Northern New Mexico is really underrated, in my opinion. I also love Tuscon and think the Saguaro National Park is a once in a lifetime experience.
I really liked this style of video. It would be cool if you did different categories like the top 5 places to travel in California, the top 10 countries in Europe, the top 10 beaches in the world, etc.
Oregon has some amazing places too!! We've got desert, snowy mountains, forests, and beaches. so much to explore here!!
Sedona, Arizona, is ✨magical✨ - highly recommend the drive from Flagstaff to Sedona down AZ 89a.
I love Sedona!!
Been thinking of doing this trip with my family!
YES
Oregon, more specifically anywhere along the coast! Absolutely nothing like its raw, rugged, peaceful beauty 🥰
😮
I was shocked that Central oregon did not make the list
Oh my god! My childhood heart when you said SANIBEL! I was born in Tampa and my whole life, even when my family moved to Maryland and California - Sanibel was our annual family vacation. Vanilla Ice cream at "the bean", bike rides, watching cabel TV cause we grew up without it... It's a hidden gem. My dad always said, "If you can't relax in Sanibel, there's no hope for you." We would also drive through Captiva and fantasize about buying a home there. Made my night for you to mention it!
As someone born and raised along the coast of Maine I appreciate that it made the video. Maine in the fall in a good foliage year is one of my favorite places to be as well. I’m looking to do more domestic travel and your videos are so inspiring, I’m definitely adding these places to my list.
Perfect timing! Last year my husband retired and I plan to later this year. Tomorrow is his birthday and I'm giving him a map, a journal and a book about the National Parks so we can start planning to visit them! We're heading to St John, USVI in June so the National Park there will be #1; We live in New England so Acadia (and Bar Harbor) will be next. You've provided the next several trip ideas for us here. Thank you for that!
Enjoyed this so much! If I may add a spot that’s completely underrated and not on the radar for many outside Chicago: Door County, Wisconsin. So quaint, beautiful nature, delicious food, and no chains!
My list includes a few of your picks, too!! San Juan Islands in Washington cannot be missed. This collection of islands off the coast of Washington are picturesque and so special. I recommend May-September. Flying into Seattle and driving north to Anacortes before hopping on a ferry is one way to travel! Portland, Oregon is my one of my favorite cities. It has a small-city feel but the food is fabulous. Some of the best I have ever had. And the price point is more affordable than other places. Portland, Maine and along the coast is another favorite. My ex was from there, so I have visited many times. They call it vacation land, which is fitting. Summer is the best time to go. Savannah, Georgia is my favorite city in the south. It has all the charm of other Southern-coastal cities without overwhelm that others do. Book a ghost tour and enjoy the food! A few places on my bucket list: Utah for the national parks; Montana for the beautiful mountains; Vermont for fall colors.
For foliage lovers, White mountain, New Hampshire and Vermont is a must! Amazing colors, hard to beat it.
Definitely don't forget about the Midwest! If you want an actual relaxing vacation, the Midwest is quieter, less crowded, cheaper and friendlier 😂 i would recommend Apostle islands Lakeshore in Wisconsin, Michigans beaches, Door County Wisconsin, Voyageurs national Park in Minnesota
My bf and I did Yellowstone AND Grand Teton National Park a couple years ago. I loved Grand Teton. I'm a NH resident, born and raised and haven't left and we have mountains but the Grand Tetons were a whole nother level. So beautiful.
I have plans to visit Seattle AND Yellowstone/Grand Teton this year, so excited!
Your travelling vlogs are really very informative and enchanting
Alaska / Glacier National Park! I did a 7 day Uncruise Adventures trip with my family last summer - 80 person cruise from Juneau to Sitka. Hands down the best travel experience of my life! Because of the smaller vessel, we explored essentially untouched wilderness. Amazing amazing crew and guides. Cannot recommend enough.
America..! where each corner tells a story, and every mile unfolds a new adventure 😍. Very informative , Thanks.!
This is a fantastic list! I totally agree (haven't made it to all these places yet, but the ones I haven't are high on my list). I would possibly also add Santa Fe New Mexico, I loved that place.
I just love your travel videos! They’re so honest, informative and give me huge wanderlust! I would love to see a video of you talking about all of the countries you’ve travelled to, like a scratch map video😊 and maybe one for the US too.
Glacier National Park in Montana has the most stunning scenery I’ve ever witnessed!
Washington State is one of my favorite places on earth, truly. I lived there for 6 years and feel like I didn’t make a dent in the list of potential things to do, even though I adventured nearly every weekend!
Sanibel isn’t too enjoyable while in the rebuilding phase…traffic is an absolute nightmare. They’re bringing in loads of sand to rebuild the beaches all day and I read there’s only something like 10% of the pre hurricane units available still. There’s stuff open, but a lot still closed. The traffic always sucked but the construction vehicles, sand trucks make it worse.
The United States is a vast and diverse country, with a wide variety of cultures, landscapes, and climates. This diversity is reflected in its many different atmospheres, each with its own unique charm.
THANK YOU for doing this! I love this style of video! Right now we can't exactly afford to travel abroad right now so we are looking at us locations and this was awesome!
I couldn’t agree more about nyc. There is something special about that city. I love it.
That's definitely on my bucket list with my daughter, daughter-in-law and granddaughters! My little dancers need to see the Rockettes and Broadway!
I literally went to North Carolina because of your video on it . Loved it ! So beautiful
you are spot on about southern Utah...Zion was my favourite canyon in the entire country UNTIL I visited King's Canyon in CA. I was shocked at its beauty and how I felt there. That said, overall Utah has such a plethora of outdoor beauty.
Thank you so much for this video Allison ! The US has so many fabulous landscapes !
These are my favorite locations in USA , As well, I liked Crested butte and Telluride in autumn, pallouse, Michigan upper peninsula, Oregon coast .
Great video and INCREDIBLE video footage you’ve captured!
I love the style of the videos that you made. You are my favorite youtuber, Allison.
Very, very beautiful destinations 👍 Thanks for sharing!
Loved this video! I already had a trip to Jackson and the Tetons in May and then Zion/Bryce in November so your video got me even more excited! I have had Seattle on my list for awhile but just recently heard of the San Juan islands- I'll definitely have to add that into our trip plan.
I'd agree w/ other comments about Oregon- we had such a great trip there (Portland, Willamette Valley, Mt. Hood). I'd also recommend the West Coast of Michigan (South Haven up to Traverse City)- it's amazing how beautiful Lake Michigan is in the summer! There are all sorts of outdoorsy things to do from beaches, hiking, wineries, breweries, etc. You could add in Mackinac Island too for a unique experience 😀
absolutely love your insight and suggestions! 🥰
I would recommend Alaska parks ,Grand canyon in Arizona and glacier park in Montana as well.
Love all your content!!
It's nice to see your video after a long days love from IND❤
Thanks Allison! Nice video
"I am very excited to watch your video. I really can't wait for it. Sending love from India!"
Loved watching this. New York does have that fascinating experience. It would also be on my top list of recommendation.
Maine is a MUST! So glad you put it on this list ☺️
you forgot cape may, nj, with 600 victorian buildings, great restaurants, good shopping, and the beach, and cape may point state park with nature trails, and blinds for bird photography.
Great advice Allison Anderson👏!! From sea to ski:). Lots of texture and landscapes in all forms. Who wouldn’t want your travel itinerary?😎
We need a part 2 asap 😍
I love this video for all the recommendations!!😊 I’ve already traveled to some based on your videos
one day i'll go there . its amazing thank you giving this information about city.
Monument Valley! It’s on Navajo Land, and the opportunity for amazing photography is abundant!
Video looks very informative
Thank you so much ❤
I loved Savannah, GA when I visited. I would love to go back. I had 2 days there but was sick for most of 1 day so I missed a lot. Hoping to get to Maine next Summer!
We went to grand teton, Yellowstone, and glacier this past summer and grand Teton was by far my favorite
Like you, I've recently made it my goal to visit more of the US. Some of the destinations I have loved are the Finger Lakes of NY, Dauphin Island Alabama, and the Outer Banks of NC. Wonderful spots!
Thank you for making this video! ❤ any favorites to travel with kids? I’m looking for fun destinations to travel with my 6 yo twins.
I wasn't expecting you to say New York lol but I live here and I think it's a pretty cool city.
Great video 😀 I’m definitely saving and adding some of these places to my list 😊
Wonderful Video! Thank you.
Silver Falls State Park in Oregon is one of my top destinations. Especially during the fall.
Yosemite is my all time favorite!!
Love this!
The US is my favourite place to travel, love it so much! These are great recommendations, some I've been to, some are already on my list and other's I've never heard of! I like that you mentioned lesser known places! I would probably add Lake Tahoe to this too 😉
In no particular order
Nyc
Rocky Mountains np Colorado
Carmel (we did sequoia np Yosemite and Carmel)
Hawaii
Sequoia np
Grand Canyon
Looking forward to go to Maine and glacier one day.
Maine is my FAVORITE place in the whole world, and luckily I'm in New England so I'm relatively close, but I only managed to get up to Acadia for the first time this past summer, and I agree, Bar Harbor is incredible. And so close to the park!
We are still trying to decide on our USA itinerary for next year. Marks first time there, soooo difficult to decide, so many amazing places. Love the vlog, some super footage, thank you.🙂
There are so many great places to visit in the US. I saw already mentioned - Dauphin Island, Mobile County, AL is a wonderful spot on the Gulf; Cooperstown, NY - even if not baseball fan with Hall of Fame there, it is a beautiful little town, one traffic light, head waters of Susquehanna River and Lake Otsego, Otesaga Hotel is a terrific resort with tennis and golf looking over the lake; Anna Maria Island, FL; Hilton Head, SC; Fairhope, AL and Point Clear, AL both over looking Mobile Bay, and the Grand Hotel in Point Clear is terrific.
Thanks
Great video ❤
Love Savannah Georgia, but I used to live in Beaufort South Carolina just 30-40 minutes from Savannah. For me Beaufort it’s the most beautiful little town I have ever been to, it's pretty small but when the sun hits the marsh it's really pretty. ❤ Hilton Head South Carolina is another small town closer to Savannah and Beaufort with great food and nice hotels and beaches.
Please do a part two 🙂.
As a Canadian, I recommend st. augustine, FL... oldest town in the US
I love this!! The US truly has so many incredible destinations. If you ever visit Little Rock, Arkansas I have tons of recs!!
I've been to all these destinations, except the Flordia islands (although I've been to quite a few destinations in FL) and I agree that these are all wonderful places to visit! I'm not a big city person, but visiting NY was so cool. So many things from pop culture are based in NY, so it feels like you're in a movie.
The grand tetons are unreal, i would put it up there with visiting switzerland as far as the views. the mountains there are so GRAND (lol) and stunning. one of the coolest places in the US.
Great list! I've been to Yellowstone multiple times and have never been to Jacksonhole! I also think San Juan's is one of my favorites. I also love Napa CA. Death Valley is pretty amazing, Yosemite and anyplace on the Oregon Coast. I haven't been to many of the US states but some of your suggestions sound wonderful.
I would love to see a video from aboit all the must visit places in California alone. Im from California and theres so many places ive never been to and want to see what im missing
I love savannah and utah!!
I love your videos! Yes that Cali love ❤
I’ve been wanting to see the grand Tetons for years ❤
I loved this video! Straight and to the point with an interesting topic. I've been to a lot of these places myself already but some I'll have to add to "my list" :) A place you didn't mention but which my husband and I both love to visit is the White Mountains in New Hampshire. The towns around there are pretty tiny (and some are real cute!), they all have the mountain views and the fall foliage in the area jus can't be beat! We also loved Oahu, Hawaii
Traveling very nice place … thank for information
Thank ❤
Ahh all of these I have either visited, or are on my list already!! One I would add is Telluride, CO. Unbelievable views and so much to do.
I love USA ❤❤❤❤
I have visited many on your list, but, this summer I plan to follow the entire Michigan shoreline along lakes Michigan, Superior and Huron. I read, recently, that Michigan has more lighthouses than any other state. Some must sees along the way-Saugatuck, Holland, Sleeping Bear Dunes, Traverse City, Mackinac Island and the bridge,Taquamenon Falls, the Pictured Rocks, Soo Locks and the Porcupine Mountains.
Great Smokey Mountains National Park, Shenandoah national Park, Blue Ridge, GA, Blue Ridge Railway lat two weeks of October through first week of November, The Palo duro canyon, Canyon, TX, Blue Hole New Mexico, Taylor Mountain New Mexico, Petrified Forest/Painted Desert National Park Arizona, Sunflower Field's Kansas, the Ozarks Arkansas, the Lost Sea Sweetwater, TN, Mammoth Cave Kentucky, Mackinac Island, MI... love to travel!!
BELÍSSIMO TRABALHO TOP
Thanks for this. Now I’m redoubling my efforts to get to Savannah. But I didn’t care for Bar Harbor and Acadia - well, mostly Acadia. We went in September and we just weren’t prepared for how crowded it would be. It was pretty, yes, but we didn’t enjoy it that much because there were people everywhere. They were coming in by the busload! It was very offputting to us.
Very cool ❤❤❤
So awesome video 💫

Dear Allison, I am yet to watch the video but dropping this comment to appreciate you for I have been anticipating your next post since the last one 😊. With Love from Soicm.
bar harbor is good in october, after colombus day it is less crowded, and make dinner reservations either early like 5pm or late like 8pm or later. if you want to get some great shots there is a photo store in downtown bar harbor, he did take you on early morning photo tours.
Irealy enjoy wath your video
I've been attempting planning solo trips for over 4 year's now lol and have back out canceled due to fear but this is the year I want cancel I'm finally taking the plunge going to Split Croatia in a few weeks I'm excited a little nervous but more excited than nervous the US destinations you mentioned are great options I've never been to Seattle definitely want to along with Washington DC, Boston, Oregon, New York, Chicago, Vermont,Maine are top of my list to visit solo in US
I spot port Clyde ME in your bar harbor clips 😉 i go there every summer 😊
I’m taking my first ever solo trip to Seattle (and area) this July! Super excited to hit up Mt. Rainier and Olympic Park during my time there, but I’m considering switching out Mt. Rainier for San Juan after watching this! If anyone has any other local tips, pls let me know!
Great to see New York CIty at the end. I cannot agree with you more on this. I used to live there for over ten years. If you add any more places to your list, have you thought about New Orleans? That's my hidden gem.
Love from India ❤❤
