    I`m going for a LM7 swap in my 77 c10. It`s a returnless style engine. I would like to use this setup for my project, but som questions:
    - What sending unit do you use? And how do you hook it up?
    - Due to the returnless system, do you mount a corvette regulator between the tank and the fuel rail?

    • @BROTHERSTruckPartsTV
      @BROTHERSTruckPartsTV  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You would use the stock sending unit. The pump will be placed elsewhere in the tank away from the factory sending unit location. As far as the regulator, the Corvette C5 regulator is perfect for your return-less system. That's the same one we use all the time for this conversion.

    I have dual tanks and would like to start preparing for an EFI system. Wouldn't the existing switch in the cab work to select the pump you want to use? By what has been said it seems you are suggesting you would need a tank selector and another switch for the pumps.

    • @BROTHERSTruckPartsTV
      @BROTHERSTruckPartsTV  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's really going to depend on how you wire your specific setup. Not familiar enough with the factory switch to say whether or not you could have it switch the tank and pump power at the same time, although with proper use of relays, I don't see why you couldn't make it work that way.

    How far from the bottom of tray should the pump be? I may have screwed up. That and what size fittings for the outlet and inlet?

    • @BROTHERSTruckPartsTV
      @BROTHERSTruckPartsTV  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The pump should be more or less all the way down into the tray. The fittings should be whatever size your fuel line is, some is as small as 1/4 in, but we've seen people run as much as 1/2 in. Size the fitting appropriately for you lines.

    Hi, very detailed video thank you. So my question is, the fuel pump that comes with the kit what psi is it running? do you offer a 7-9 psi version, my c10 is carburated is the reason i am needing this range

    • @BROTHERSTruckPartsTV
      @BROTHERSTruckPartsTV  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They are rated by "Gallons Per Hour", you would use a pressure regulator to adjust the pressure down to work with your carburetor.

    What external fuel pump kit would you recommend for a 67 C10 with a 6.0 LQ4 engine making about 540 HP. would like to get that 600HP one day. Thanks in advance.

    • @BROTHERSTruckPartsTV
      @BROTHERSTruckPartsTV  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      We don't have recommendation for that. Check the offerings from Holley or Summit Racing. We're sure there are many options, our concern would be noise with the external unit, but maybe there is an internal option available which would make it MUCH quieter.

    Would these work on a duel tank truck how would you switch power to each tank

    • @BROTHERSTruckPartsTV
      @BROTHERSTruckPartsTV  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We don't see why it wouldn't work. You would need to install a pump in each tank, then switch power to the proper pump when switching tanks. You also have the option of running a single external pump and maintaining the same tank switch you have now.
