Pro tip: Talking to strangers is like benchpress for your social skills. Start small by asking a grocery store employee where a certain product is or wish the cashier a good day, and eventually build up by making small talk with people in the gym or any other environment.

so im autistic (mostly on the social part of the spectrum) and the other day, my family held a kind of get-together party at our house and i didnt know most of the people there. I didnt know what to do with myself. i couldnt sit still and i was pacing around my house until eventually i went to my room and i broke down crying. I didnt feel sad, it just happened. I think its because i wanted to be part of it but i was just physically unable to. Because ive been dealing with this same kind of issue my whole life, ive been avoiding every social event i possibly can and because of this, my social skills are servearly lacking compared to my piers and its a major issue for me and because im a teenager, im more self concious of every action i do, everything i say; i have a stutter and sometimes end up making a fool of myself in front of my class when doing presentations.
Im also a bit jealous of everyone else because they are all going out partying and im just sat in my room doing nothing.
    I needed this video. Thanks.

Been in that situation there i was not autistic though, i would suggest you form a small group of people to do one to one conversation, And also keep wingman or woman with you it will make you feel more comfortable, and don't be too conscious that you will hurt with whatever you say.
All you need is small practice everyday, Keep smiling face, The main positive is that you know about it and are willing to improve, Don't overthink just act you.
I was almost the same this is what help me i formed small groups of people and let them initiate conversation you have to just sit with them and listen first. Now i am 28 doing business, sales& Marketing from talking to just 3-4 people a day to i am talking now 15-50 per day. Believe in yourself you can do it 💪.

I go to a dance school and I’ve been there for about 5 years, for the past 3 and a half years I was talking to my classmates like a normal person, maybe that was just because I was around 7-9 years old but since around last year it’s just gotten worse and worse, and it doesn’t help that I don’t share many interests with the people around me, but I am at the point where I went 3 whole dance shows without talking to a single person in my class, and now I’m realising that I can’t go on like this, so thank you for these tips that may help me restart my social life in my dance class.

Can you make a video about being able to engage in more deep conversations as an extrovert. I’m a pretty extroverted guy, I have no problems steering a conversation with multiple people in it or leading an interesting conversation, but every time I try to engage in deeper conversations with anyone, they assume I’m joking or change the topic, as if I’m ‘the guy to have surface-level conversations with’

I've been socially awkward my whole life, I hate it with passion. I take so long to be confortable around someone and to start to actually act normal without making it all weird all the time. It honestly just makes my life so much harder. Job interviews, small talk, parties... I just overthink every effing detail and get mortified about my day every night before bed. I am so sick of being this way, but I just cannot for the life of me stop being so socially weird. I try to smile and be nice, and instead I look like I'm about sh*t myself and end up giving the worse first impression known to man kind. Natural extroverts won lottery!

As a introvert. I am great 1 on 1 conversations, but pretty terrible in groups. It could be a ADHD thing

  • @aymadummeech
    @aymadummeech ปีที่แล้ว +6

People complicate these issues. Trust me. I thought this problem for many years. I have nt had felt genuine connection for nearly a decade of my life since I was stuck addicted to videogames since I was 7. I barely developed my social skills naturally.
I watched tons of videos like this. Read books. Even put myself in discord to analyze how a conversation works. And all that effort has given me the conclusion that:
ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS UNDERSTAND THE BROADER OR DEEPER INTENTION OF A CONVERSATION OR A CONVERSATION TOPIC AND ASK QUESTIONS AND COMMENT FROM THERE.
LISTENING IS 10% OF UNDERSTANDING THE CONTENT AND 90% OF UNDERSTANDING WHAT PEOPLE ARE TRYING TO DO
It is that simple. A stranger is talking about how difficult his job is? That could just mean that he is complaining and want to look for another job. How do you respond? You can complain as well and give them job recommendations.
Your classmate is talking about his embarrasing experience? That could just mean he is trying to make you laugh and make you feel less intimidated by him.
How do you respond? You could act more friendly and tease him a bit and make jokes yourself.
It takes prwctice to make this second nature bur once its automatic, you wont need these tips online anymore

@@uzairlol Because there was no matrix at that time
These all labels introvert, extrovert, intj, alpha, gamma, sigma, loner, nerd are created by matrix to control us.
If you will think I am an introvert, even if you aren't really then your subconscious will make you an introvert and you will always remain silent
If you will think i am an extrovert and lets say you hate intoversion. then your subconscious will make it impossible for you to ever stay quite, you will always speak even when it is necessary.

@@uzairlol it depends on where you mess up. in my experience, i always got very nervous talking to attractive women. but when i was talking to my close friends its like i came alive and became extroverted all of a sudden.
my advice to you is, start building your way up slowly, so first practice what you find easy then slowly ramp it up and start talking to people you get nervous around. for example, you might get very nervous when at a party talking to a cute girl, so practice small talking a bit to the cashier in the store that you dont find that attractive. youll get better over time!
