Jing Yuan is truly a tragic character that had to lose those he cares for, or even be the one that had to turn against them in the end. I know he says that he wasn't close to Jingliu, but deep down, I just feel like she never showed how proud he truly made her, and he too cares for her as much as things didn't go well. And not only that, he had to speak out Dan Feng's molting rebirth and banishment sentence too. I bet he cried when he was alone after that.
