But if you're just didn't reach Luofu yet that explanation would be pretty much enough and you should learn that story through in-game stuff, without spoilers
Also, foxians, that fox-eared race, they joined the Xianzhou Alliance later, they live longer than normal humans, yes, but they don't have that curse of immortality, and normal foxian lifespan is like 200-300 years or something if i remember correctly

Xianzhou humans are the only ones who suffer from mara, and the only ones who have that weird regeneration, when they heal quickly, yeah, but whatever disability they had from birth, they keep it forever. Vidyahara have their own rebirth cycles, and foxians are mortal, just kinda long-living by the human standards. Sorry if i again repeated the things you knew, I just kinda didn't really understood how you've missed it...

This allows you to move constantly and precisely even when theres a new problem that will prolong the project. 2nd, they will always try to solve the most hard or urgent problem 1st and the easiest for later. But always remember to keep those problems within the schedule. 3rd, they have somekind of template for every problem. This makes them even faster at solving a problem, because most of them have a bit of similarities between one and another. But hey, this is why lazy people often invent something right?
