What don't these people understand when someone says HUD. And why doesn't ANYONE actually produce REAL HUD's for cars. It's like they think no one wants HUD's. People do. They just don't want this kind of junk! They want a real HUD. One with real reliability, visual transparency, and readable in direct sunlight. I'd pay dearly for that. The tech exists. Otherwise fighter pilots would be crashing every day, because they'd always be looking down at their instrument panels.
@@GritGrindGrow I had one a long time ago in a 1988 Pontiac 6000 STE. It was ahead of its time. I loved it! I really don't know how it's not a standard thing by now! HUDs technology has been widely used in military aircraft for over 65 years.
They only put them on the fancier model cars as an incentive to pay the $3K or more for it. It's how the car industry has always been. They don't want you to buy the less profitable models.

I see no benefit in this. I’ve been driving for so long I can feel my cars speed and am also able to gauge speed based on surroundings. I don’t need to have it all the time in my face. I would also get annoyed by it quite quickly. I’m perfectly fine with the OEM dashboard.

I had a factory one in a 2003 Pontiac Grand Prix, I loved it, so convenient. I genuinely don’t know why they haven’t caught on more by now

You can see the hud isn't even displaying the correct speed. At 1:39 driver is going 60mph, but its saying 100kph when it should be about 4kph less!
