Irish here..grew up in the 80s watching bombs go off and people being reported shot on my tv every week. I was very young...I never supported innocent people being killed and grew up thinking that the IRA were bad actually. In my adulthood I learned about armed resistance and post- colonialism and what the IRA were fighting for, because you're not taught it in school. It is possible to support the right of a people to armed resistance, whilst not supporting some of their tactics and methods. From what I can see from watching the Al Qassam brigades vids and various military analytic commentary is that Hamas has been executing a much more respectable account of themselves, in respect to their conduct during this conflict, than the Israeli's.

In 1994 South Africa was handed to the ANC on a silver platter. It had zero national debt, a solid infrastructure and a strong economy, self-reliant and even able to export various products. The first eight years of the new democracy, under the presidency of Nelson Mandela went very well. There was good cooperation and very little dissidence. Now, 30 years later, I would like to invite you here to come and see for yourself what the country and the economy looks like. The younger generation of well educated black people, the "born frees", i.e. those born after the end of apartheid are sick and tired of the rampant government corruption and lack of services and are looking to vote the ANC out of office. Irish here..grew up in the 80s watching bombs go off and people being reported shot on my tv every week. I was very young...I never supported innocent people being killed and grew up thinking that the IRA were bad actually. In my adulthood I learned about armed resistance and post- colonialism and what the IRA were fighting for, because you're not taught it in school. It is possible to support the right of a people to armed resistance, whilst not supporting some of their tactics and methods. From what I can see from watching the Al Qassam brigades vids and various military analytic commentary is that Hamas has been executing a much more respectable account of themselves, in respect to their conduct during this conflict, than the Israeli's.
What this documentary won't show is that all leaders from Israel as well as from Hezbolah, Hamas, or Hamas regime or Israeli government, and all government from Lebanon, Iran, Turkey, etc, without one exception, are members of Freemasonry.

As an Irish Catholic growing up in N. Ireland during the “troubles”, the Palestinian people have been treated so much worse. I was scared of IRA and horrified every time they killed or bombed innocents. I don’t know much about Hamas just that they were funded by Israel a few years ago.

For anyone who is interested to learn about that, a good introduction is a short video Mehdi Hasan did for The Intercept several years ago, it's called "How Israel Helped Created Hamas".

the reformist movement was a response to the state of Muslim communities facing imperialism, industrialisation, and globalization. it presented a third way for Muslim communities to stop civilizational decline, and embrace progress in modern world. Some Muslim leaders then opted to embrace secularism (Turkiye), or rejected modernism (Saudis).

I don't understand what makes this woman an expert on Hamas and the Palestinians. Very strange choice of Chris. It is funny that she refers to their terrorism not armed struggle although they are occupied and resisting occupation.Why can't a Palastenian expert speak on this topic?.
You are so right. But probably the choice is because the western audience unfortunately would not listen to Palestinians who would be labeled by westerners (at least subconsciously) as "biased" before they utter a single word.

Since you mentioned the ANC I feel compelled to make a few remarks. I'm a white South African, 75 years of age and it is our generation that rebelled against the apartheid government. In 1994 South Africa was handed to the ANC on a silver platter. It had zero national debt, a solid infrastructure and a strong economy, self-reliant and even able to export various products. The first eight years of the new democracy, under the presidency of Nelson Mandela went very well. There was good cooperation and very little dissidence. Now, 30 years later, I would like to invite you here to come and see for yourself what the country and the economy looks like. The younger generation of well educated black people, the "born frees", i.e. those born after the end of apartheid are sick and tired of the rampant government corruption and lack of services and are looking to vote the ANC out of office. I wonder if you have ever been to Iran, Lebanon, Gaza and the West Bank to observe their way of ruling their countries and quality of life of their populations. For that matter, when last did you visit South Africa? Just asking
Are all these societies mainly tribal? Does that explain reliance on corruption? 120 years ago, USA biggest cities were run by corrupt politicians.
