that guy obviously never never wound up the blackbird!! i demo'd one when they first came out and no way does it have a bland power delivery! i did 160 mph with wife on back , only thought i was doing about 120, i still want one 15 yrs later!

I had a ZX-9R. Swapped it for a Peugeot 106d. Haven't stopped crying since....

I owned that year zx9r and I loved it. power delivery was smooth and quick and I could carve all day on that thing with complete confidence.
This one is a very late registered E1 from 2000, 2001 was the E2 with a different livery. The the F1 from 2002 had no H-frame, and had a braced swingarm, and again a different livery design.
I have a feeling they kept that quiet hoping he didn't realise it was likely an ex demo bike, still not budging on price much was bad considering this. I have an E1 now, still great bikes.
Had my E1 since 2003, no need for any other bike

@@marcs990 But big heavy and more expensive to run day to day, maybe does suit the blokes that like to tour Europe as you say though. I know a few people with ZX12r's, great bikes, but overall for me the ZX9r is the better bike, lighter, cheaper, better looking and just as quick and almost as fast.

The R1??? Probably the worst one as they wanted a tourer, what were they thinking. Out of the 3 the Blackbird is my pick. Even the Kwak isn’t exactly a sports tourer. My personal pick would be the Kawasaki ZZR 1200, this should of at least been in the running in my honest opinion. 😅
I'm fully convinced that if the average road rider wasn't told a bike had linked brakes they wouldn't moan about them. The only time they're not awesome is on the track.
If you'd shown them a post '99 injected Blackbird, they would have liked it a lot more....it is very different from the previous model.
Are alarms something that was all the rage in the early 00's? Or is it some sort of British thing? I often here that all thefts in general is more common there.

Yep totally necessary, also trackers if the bike is worth something. Cops don't care here about us and we are not allowed to shoot or give the robbers a tune-up, so 🤷♂️
Why did they let them choose between 2 supersports and 1 sporttour ?? Why not 3x sporttour ??

Wrong choice...I have a Blackbird, and it's the greatest two wheeled monster that'll also eat miles up I've ever seen!
No, he totally made the right choice, it's a late registered E1, Y2k bike, probably ex demo. 0-60 in 3 secs 175-180 mph top speed, totally underrated bikes then and now, that are also beautiful (tons better than the BB), love my Y2k E1 in blue.
My first motorcycle was a white kawasaki also. Awesome!

The thing I don’t get with this program is when they’r giving the bikes a score out of 10 on different items, in particular RELIABILITY...how do you know how reliable a bike is unless you’ve owned one? which in most cases with these is the case, the “Punter” hasn’t owned one.
Been to DK bikes a few times, not quite as many bikes there as there used to be but still a good place to visit.
Their current bike is a GPZ750 so the show suggests trying an R1...
They should have upped the rear spring preload, it was squatting quite a bit.

Owned an R1 and Blackbird.. I px’d my 916 for the R1 which was a mistake.. the bike left me cold after a Ducati. The BB was a lovely bike, beautifully put together.. but I think it was a bit too barge like for me, so I sold it and bought an Aprilia RSV... Of these 3, I’d probably go for the ZX9R too

Ridden Kwakas & I would have picked Honda SuperBlackbird out of that three bikes.
The ZX9r is a much better bike, but personal preference come into play, so does bad taste 🤣
Hmm they want a sport touring bike but they just give them supersport style bikes? Makes sense lol. That being said I'm looking for a 9r anyway because I want that power but that comfort haha

I have a 2000 R1, if I suggested to my missus we could go touring she would kick me in the balls 😁, the bike is for 1 up fun 😁👍
