CUP Units CUP Weapons TRYK's Multip-play uniforms pack RHS: Armed forces of the russian federation RHS: United States Forces I have other mods too but I believe these are the only ones that would effect m4. My best guess is its RHS: United States Forces, its on armaholic and maybe steam too

As it is already discussed in the comments, there is not really any "in depth" tutorials of the new functionalities on Eden such as the revive and respawn functions. The upcoming Task Overhaul could also be very interesting to get a proper tutorial on. I know this is not maybe the forum for a "wishlist" but IF you find it enjoyable to make tutorials you clearly know how to explain things in a sensible and understandable way. So either way, keep up the good work !
Very cool. I had been playing with soldier animations in the 'object: ambient animation' field (which I think I have because I downloaded the 'Eden enhanced' mod on Steam), but this is much more flexible and offers more options. Thanks for sharing! Please keep releasing Eden tutorials.

Some animations like Briefing,Repair_kneel or Guard delete AI main weapon. There are various ways to get him into combat state, but he'll have no weapon, and will just run around. Have you worked that out?
+Vesell11 Not sure on that one Vesell11. Some of them just take away their rifles in order to do the animation I believe. You can maybe try setting his gear to make sure its not on none and maybe that will equip them with a weapon to pull out after?

Hi Schlimster I have just watched your TUT on animations and i am trying to make a officer sit in the new ARMCHAIR from the Laws of war DLC, but he just sit on the floor in front of the armchair, but if i use a camping chair he sits on it, do you know a way to make it work? thanks for the TUT it makes my missions look a bit more realistic.
You probably worked this out mate but if you look at the bottom of the screen when you preview... (i know you saw it) but the script error tells you that there is no 'briefing' animation associated with the Combat version of the function.. So the function doesnt work and so that ai dude is completely unaffected.. That's why he immediately turns and engages you, cus the function doesn't run and he's not playing an ambientAnim at all... The reason is (and this is some speculation on my part, but its a possible reason why the list of animations is limited) only certain animations have transition animations between them and combat/default locomotion animations... So the ambientAnimCombat function is only written 'under the hood' to transition between _acceptableStates into default behaviour... when you give it something like 'briefing' there's no animations to transition so it cant, so error. Not sure if i even 'explained' anything there :D

(the takeaway: Errors are helpful / run the game with -showScriptErrors enabled from the launcher xD ) I'm pretty sure the original operation flashpoint is one of the things, unknown to me at the time, helped developed my programming 'skills'.. So with that said, here comes the standard disclaimer: anything i'm advising could be total shite.

Very nice tutorial, Thank you a lot ! Can you get Units to do the SIT_HIGH1-2 animation correctly ? I seem unable to get it work... I used a mod (3den enhanced) where you could set it up (incl. preview) and there i managed to get a unit performing it correctly, however, after i returned from 'play scenario' back to the editor the unit had glitched ('clipping' ?) a bit into the table (technically he then was located on a lower altitude)..and that would happen each time i quickly play the scenario...so they sink step by step into the object their sitting on and finally actually sink into the ground, which of course screws the whole point of the animation. Any Ideas ? :D Thanks again!
haha I've had that problem to with any unit interacting with an object like that. I haven't been able to fix it yet but ill get back to you if I do;) Thanks for watching!
when i set an enemy an animation when I test the mission that enemy will not react to me while others do. He'll just sit and watch while others try killing me what am i doing wrong?
i know it might be a dumb question but how do i get my ai to stand still ive been trying to set up a checkpoint style place with guards but as soon as i place them they dont stay in the area's where i have placed them they instantly run to the squad leader thne start slowly pacing around with their guns drawn
He was using RHS USAF and another RHS faction I believe. He was on a custom map found on the steam workshop(description). He seemed to be using a custom wounded system... All these mods can most likely be found through the steam workshop.

+Schlimster Hi, i'm not sure, but i found this out 2 day's ago by accident :-). If you place down a AI then double click it, scroll down, find "object ambient animation" and write down the anim you want and activate it. It works rite away in the editor.
I see other levels use such better animations such as the unconscious standup animation however i cant find the animation name as just copying and pasting it from the viewer doesnt work.... Pls help😂
+Kurtis King get Community Upgrade Project (CUP). There are three parts: Weapons, Units and Terrains. You need the CBA mod and CUP Units is dependent on CUP Weapons.
I assume you tried to use an animation that doest work for combat, only some of them work with combat if you go into the functions list and look at animcombat you can see the list of ones that work. Tell me if this helps or not!
+yeinzy Hmm I'm not sure man I'm sorry I cant be of more help. Just make sure all the code looks the same and that you are using the right ones for combat. I have also heard that if you use the extended eden editor mod or something like that you dont even need to use the code its built in so you dont use that, so you could try that.
theres an "enhanced eden editor mod" in the steam workshop that makes this stuff a lot easier. I have not tried it but I guess you dont need the code with that so try that out!

You dont have to script the animations anymore, you can set the animation in the atribute screen of the ai. The anim will play even in the editor.
I'll have to check this out, is this with the enhanced eden mod only?

For some reason this doesn't work with rhs
while following your tutorial, I learned, when someone JIP (join in progress) all animated ai will disappear.
Maybe if you start the editor mission in multiplayer first before creating? not sure havent messed with it multiplayer
