This is one of the most classic match-ups ever. Two of my favorite artists of all time teaming up together. Billy brings the New York cool. And Bruce stands for New Jersey attitude. It's the best ever.
Two of my all time favorites .... the difference between these two is Billy has outgrown his rock and roll days while Bruce never wants to stop !!! We need another Billy Joel tour damn it !!! Btw I'm seeing Bruce this monday in Albany :))
absolutely love this song! Bruce has such a great powerful voice. And Billy Joel, well, what can I say. I am from New York and I am always in a NY state of mind! Billy rules.
But even Billy Joel looks like he's really fighting with nailing the vocals, I still Can't believe springsteen srill sings this Song every night on Tour with the same Energy since all this years
@TheElusiveBirdMan Bruce is not out of breath at all, I don't know what your talking about. The guy is an animal, best shape of his life. Still rocking 27+ songs a night no problem! It's just the look on bruce's face when he sings. Still and always will be the best live performer of all time! LONG LIVE THE boss!
I like the expression on Bruce and Billy's face, there grooving on how each other is singing one another's tune, totally fantastic! and we get to sit in our homes and watch and hopefully everyone knows the difference between good and Great! like how to appreciate the technology time has brought us, we've come a long way from green hand held transistor radios or bogen speakers with a shure audio mixer that always gave bad feedback. lol. tks for the Great post! CcCclapsss
@@faithcurrent658 Well I get this applies to the US and a few more countries, but internet was not always a thing and he was not so well known in many countries too
@@Gkats5513 Billy's live shows have been massive all over the world. He even sold out in Russia. You must be living under a rock somewhere. Billy is a world-wide phenomenon.
Whoever took and downloaded this video, OMG this was awesome. THANK YOU 👏 Great video, great sound, so close to the stage, intimacy is INCREDIBLE 😉 I so enjoyed this shit out of this.
I love how the balance works out perfectly here. You can hear Billy's piano clearly over the rest of the band. It's a shame they didn't do the same great job for "Because the Night", but I guess you can't have everything.
Bristud how could u say that? This I an awesome song and was great with piano wizard Billy Joel. He messed up a little with the lyrics, but all in all, it was truly amazing. I always feel like jumpin up and dancin in that last verse after the instrumental solo.
@rypro525 Of course he didn't know the words, he hates rehearsing ("more edge" with less rehearsing) and this was pretty spontaneous. Try singing Bruce song, in Bruce key/range, also in Bruce voice in perfect pitch (!!) while simultaneously playing the piano by EAR and see how you do ;.) Trust me, NO other talent is capable of making adsjustments like that. NO ONE else. Most under rated talent in the history of Earth. PS "Virginia" was intentional.
@Petiber go back and watch prove it all night from 1978 or thundercrack from 1973, i think with time he's just taken a backseat re his guitar playing. in other words he's grown up and it s more about the music, lyrics and the whole band's' performances live .and that's why he's still at the top of his game
The real "Boss" = the powers that be convincing the dumbed-down American electorate that a 'natural born Citizen' can be born a Citizen of the United Kingdom and Colonies and that the ages old tradition honoring the 'right of the blood'(jus sanguinis) patrilineal descent is meaningless vis-a-vis Article II
@KleWdSide I've seen Bruce live three times and he is always out of breath but the thing about doing these short performances is he stops more often so you seem him taking a break and he's out of breath during the breaks
Jack Shaw He has such a distinctive vocal himself, but can impersonate as well with ease (Paul McCartney, Ray Charles etc.) Close your eyes and it’s like Springsteen duetting with his younger self! 😆
Random thoughts - I'd say Mr Long Island brings some real NY attitude (he always does). And - is it just me? I've replayed over and over and I'm convinced that Mrs Springsteen has a lingering glance or something - just for a second after Billy sings "baby we'll never go back". Cmon, help me out. 1:34...hmmmm
@pgaquigz I don't think Billy knew the words and it looks a bit contrived as if he's trying to read the words off of a monitor and sing as the same time, so gets a little lost until the "Tramps like us.." part where he was more familiar with it and he seemed a bit more natural.

Actually Billy seems the one who's hanging on for dear life here trying to remember the words and winded as hell😂
Bellissima performance! E unico!! Una band straordinaria!! 💕
Excellent version Billy & Bruce did this song quite nicely....
Just flawless
this is perfection
With the audience getting the nod to strum the Boss's guitar mid song....what a party!
Billy Joel has boat loads of talent. He was great on this song.
TOP

these guys really complement each others talents
Wonderful. Absolutely magnificent. 2 gr8 60's musicians still performing. Amazing. Keep it up double B
We will always remember you, Clarence...trumps like us, baby, we were born to run and rock'n'roll!!
Damn...Billy Joel always gives me goose bumps with his voice and talent! Great musician, too bad his music never reached a bigger audience.
His music reached me and millions of people.

🥰I love them together.
The year is 2019 and the country is being torn apart by politics but the one thing I think all Americans can agree on is we love us some Springsteen.
EPIC!!!!!!!!! holy concert

I LOVE THIS HOLE CONCERT
fabulous!
#goat #goat #Springsteen #joel ❤💛💙💜💚
Billy was awesome
Springsteen rocks his ass off and does it better than people 1/3 his age. Incredible.
Oh dear! If rock have the magic? All of these guys more than half-hundred years old!
hes the BOSS!!!!!!!!!!!!111
Que dos fenomenos
bellissimo, grazie
can not believe any one would have a bad comment to make about this video
Jesus, that sax player is tremendous.
Clarence Clemons sks The big man. R.i.p.
Nice!
magic
RIP Big Man
Thanks For Uploading These Great Vids !
The Quality is Perfect !
Goddammit love billy,,,

Wow !
Bristud how could u say that? This I an awesome song and was great with piano wizard Billy Joel. He messed up a little with the lyrics, but all in all, it was truly amazing. I always feel like jumpin up and dancin in that last verse after the instrumental solo.

@ncuso33 Haha thanks man! Always wondered what he said. Love Billy's eyes just before.
Even Barrack Obama acknowledges Bruce Springsteen as THE BOSS!!!!!!

WOW
Bruce is not easy to sing. Billy did a fine job.
@KleWdSide I've seen Bruce live three times and he is always out of breath but the thing about doing these short performances is he stops more often so you seem him taking a break and he's out of breath during the breaks
WoW
RIP Clarence Clemmens
billy joel sounds more like bruce on this than bruce does lol
Jack Shaw He has such a distinctive vocal himself, but can impersonate as well with ease (Paul McCartney, Ray Charles etc.) Close your eyes and it’s like Springsteen duetting with his younger self! 😆
I wonder if that was intentional now that I think about it.
it's un believable. He sings like a younger Bruce.
Random thoughts - I'd say Mr Long Island brings some real NY attitude (he always does).

Do you have Only The Good Die Young with Joel and Springsteen?
Still soiling my pants !!
PAUL OSBORN
pls send pic
HEY!!!! Is that a STEELERS Guitar Bruce is Holding????
For the 31 who gave a thumbs down GTU! This is BLOODY FECKIN GREAT!!!
Well...now I'm full of doubt. WHO OF THEM IS "THE BOSS" HERE??
Billy Joel
Just one... Dressed in
black..

This is great! I never knew about this concert. I bet Elton John wasn't this good eh Billy?
