I really hope Gerald is doing okay through the recent events. I can't imagine keeping paying rent on a closed studio through the pandemic is going to be good for Core-A financially.

In US and Canada the loan agencies are allowing land owners to defer payments to the end of their contract term. Maybe Korea will too?
It doesnt make the rent free, they still need to pay it, just later

My favorite video is "Analysis: Why Button Mashing Doesn't Work" because it is pretty much a glossary on fighting game terms/theory. It's a great video to show friends who don't understand why you enjoy fighting games.

For someone who knew the terms, but could never internalize them, that was the video that finally helped me to understand those things, and every time I think of the terms, I always remember the examples he gave. I learned more in that one video than in dozens of hours of researching how to play.

I think Core-A’s video on Button Mashing was an excellent semi crash course on some of the basics and fundamentals of fighting game play seen in every FG. In a way got me to understand more about mind games and tactics to help do much better.
The video is also just really good for any Newbir to watch, and you might aswell watch it.

Sajam and Corea are great, but I think Rooflemonger deserves some love as well. When it comes to Dragonball and lesser main-stream games, he is the guy I go to learn how to play, and his lessons are always very thorough. I would never have learned how to play the likes of Dragonball without him. Heck, it was thanks to him that I finally grasped things like the iger knee motion that I struggled with in other games.

Favorite Core-A video? That's hard. The one about performance enhancing substances in pro gaming was eye-opening for me, as it was a subject I'd never heard addressed before. Gerald does such a great job of presenting concepts in a researched but never dry way. The one about esports villains and then his interviews with women in the Tekken community stand out too.

Things didn't pan out well, but it's nice to see a story like this succeed and go on. Been a big Core-A fan from the start, now I know why it takes so long for him to make a damn video!

How sweet, a Hold Back to Block video about Core-A Gaming, my two dearest FGC channels ever. This is so good. I found about CAG a few years ago, before HBtB, and it became an instant favorite. HBtB was kind of the same way, but more recently, so this is a dream match in FGC TH-cam territory. Awesome video guys.
