Fun fact, if you go into the unused data of the arcade version of Heritage you can find incomplete sprites of tower of grey and the plane stage beside other things, these seem to indicate some of the ps1 extra stages might had been considered as content for the arcade game before getting scrapped, also in the secret files (promotional magazine like documents handed to arcade owners with the purchase of the cabinet) there is concept art of the 3 pillar men from part 2, implying they might had been considered to become playable along young Joseph as part 2 reps.
The Dreamcast version was my introduction to Jojo. I bought it on a whim back in 2000 or 2001. I've always been interested in the unique modes in the PS version, but never got around to playing it.
It was great to see them put the extra effort in to expand on the PS1 version to make up for the shortcomings of it being made for a less powerful console. More effort than some more modern fighting games with their Single Player content for sure.
Great video dude! I can see that even if you hadn't fully played fighters before that you wanted to try and understand the game and I super respect that from your video. The PS1 version I would honestly say that is arguably the better version of Heritage for the Future except when trying to play against others solely because of the single player content, and as someone who is very into fighting games but like single player content, this version is definitely the cooler version to look back on. I hope that one day that we can get an ultimate version of HftF with the gameplay and visuals of arcade Bizarre Adventure with all of the content of this version with improved netcode. I would buy that in a heartbeat
Thanks!! A definitive version would be absolutely amazing. But honestly it would be great to have it was properly available in any form at this point. Single Player content is great for getting people into fighting games in general so I always appreciate any fighter that tries with it. Which they definitely did here
I've played quite a bit of HftF but never knew this version existed, it's really interesting to see how they tried to adapt all the encounters with DIO's stand users into a playable format, nice review :)
Thanks! 😁 Yeah it’s crazy this version exists and the amount of effort put into it with the extra content would bring some more modern fighting games to shame
Wow great video! I read the Jojo Manga and I am amazed at the attention to detail the devs put into this. It seems they loved the manga also and really put their hearts into doing it justice. A rare thing in many game adaptations of popular media. Great content. I really appreciate how You explain everything systematically and clearly. You earned my respect and sub with this video.
I love HFTF I love street fighter so being a fan of JoJo and finding out There was another JoJo fighting game that wasn’t just asb 2013 or EOH (at the time ASBR didn’t come out yet) It was awesome. Some of the mini games were annoying to play (the sun mini game, the Kenny g mini game, the lovers mini game) and my god boss vanilla ice is so annoying Hell why don’t I just play it rn Also you said the sun fight when on screen it was showing the Wheel of Fortune one
All the Jojo games seem to have something to offer that’s fun honestly. Been a blast to play them all. Oh whoops, the sun and fortune always get mixed up in my mind
@@TephraDanyeah And I’ve played all the JoJo fighting games Also it’s fine lol Oh and the thing with kakyoins ending is that you can see DIO do his throwing knives super as he’s about to be killed So basically kakyoin died from his injuries from the knives It happens pretty quickly so you might not have noticed
The fact that Yu Narukamis VA voices Jonathan Joestar in the english dub is so cool
Kakyoin will never be happy
😫
He will never get the Milfs😞
He's fucking dead

Finally, a full Explanation for the JoJo PS1 game
They made out for the stand sprites downgrade with such a great story mode for the PS1 version. It was a cool treatment
The PS1 version is what I owned. I remember picking it up after I saw the arcade at my local mall. Still love the game.

When are Capcom gonna port this game to Steam or smth
Pretty sure capcom lost the rights to namco unfortunately
Petshop has instant unblockables. That’s a lot of the reason.
Fun fact: the thing iggy is chewing is coffe flavored bubblegum.
They cooked so hard with the look
holy moly
