I am of the opinion that that blindfold is not really a blindfold, and the player is making mistakes on purpose to make the run seem more realistic. if you compare it with an actual blindfold run you will see a lot more set ups that actually make sense. For instance the Chain Chomp star we watched here should have thrown him off since even if the runner knew where the edge of the fence was, getting hit threw him in a random direction, and he ran straight to the Star after. The actual blindfold sets you up in a corner (so you know where exactly you are) and then adjusts the camera so you can use a notch in the controller to run straight to the pillar and free the Chain Chomp with some audio queues to time it properly.

You're absolutely correct that sound cues are extremely important, but a lot of the movement you see are what are known in the community as "normalized strats." Normalized strats are any set of movements that will give the exact same result every time like backflipping 3 times, or holding the joystick in a notched direction at full tilt. It takes an insane amount of practice to learn to play blindfolded and most of the top non-blindfolded runners say that they couldn't even complete a single star blind.

His claims have been found to be false by many: his name isn't in guinness record list, nasa hasn't invited him, he can only memorize from books he or his supporters bring and he hid the fact that he failed entrance exam to study medical degree. He was made famous by one or two journalists who interviewed him without background checking. His latest claim is that he has been recieving threats from some foreign organizations that he will be killed if he teaches other nepalese his technique and he will be rewarded millions if he leaves nepal to join them.

Since he hasn't demonstrated his skills in front of any Research center or something like that, instead he has only spoken with so-called TH-cam Media, which is 99.99% a piece of shit in Nepal. So until and unless he won't come up in any research center it's toff to believe Bijay shahi.
