Its mostly the pilot. Its not the first time. I am sure CG was not checked. I am sure surfaces were not checked. Mostly in-experienced with to big of a plane and motor.
This dude has been flying like this since 2012. Has flown at least 200 + different airplanes in similar fashion. Plenty of hands on experience over the past 10 years. It would be interesting to have two cameras recording with split screen to see what the thumbs are actually doing throughout these amazing flights. Kind of reminds me of what a moth looks like, fluttering around a street light 😊.
What a ride, longest crash I've seen in quite some time.
What was the problem? Too far rear CG? Too much control throw? It calmed down a lot once the engine stopped.
