Watch all of our Montana vlogs: th-cam.com/play/PLZKRTK1yCEM7-vmrms23ggfUXzB8Oq9M4.html Safety is our #1 priority and as we explained at the beginning of the video, we chatted with Dan and Erin before meeting up about COVID and the precautions they had been taking to ensure we all felt comfortable. We trust how seriously they have taken the virus, as well as ourselves, and did not wear face coverings when outdoors together. However, we did follow all of our usual precautions: 😷Masks and face coverings. We wear these anytime we are near strangers outside and especially indoors. If we don’t have a mask on in a video, it’s 99% because there was no one around or because we were with people we trust. ⏰ Exploring early. We normally start at sunrise anyway because of less crowds, but especially so with COVID. We have been starting our days before sunlight so we can limit our interactions. 🧼 Washing and sanitizing our hands, especially after touching anything outside of the van. 🚐 Being in the van 95% of the time when we’re not filming. The adventures we share are a small sliver of our lives. We are staying in the van all day everyday when working and the only time we leave is to do laundry, get gas, or go to the store. 6️⃣ Keeping our distance. We are trying to stay at least 6 ft from others, which truthfully isn’t always possible (and then we make sure we cover our face).
Favorite things of this video, "swoopy thing" wild flowers, and Kathryn's Dad 🥰 It always amazes me the incredible wild flowers in nature, and that chart looked amazing!
Hahaha that swoopy thing! 🤣🤣 We have gotten so lucky seeing so many wildflowers this summer. Normally we miss them or something, but this summer has been full of them! 😍 And I’m glad I could throw my dad in there, that’s still one of my favorite clips lol!
As someone with a compromised immune system I really appreciate the efforts you both go through to be safe. I especially appreciate that you share this at the beginning of your videos. Of all the channels I watch you are the only ones that do. Not that anyone has to but I appreciate it. Yet another reason why I admire you so
Thank you so much Jymn, this really means a lot to us. ❤️ Traveling during this time, and especially sharing it, is a bit nerve wrecking for us due to the criticism (understandably) that can come along with it. But we truly are being extremely cautious and we really want to set a good example of how to be safe if you’re out in public right now. Adam says a big thank you for the hat compliment too! 😉 Thanks for all of the support!
Well this was fun! Thanks for sharing, glad you got to make some new friends! I’m terrible at fishing by the way. Can’t wait for more stories and adventures from you guys!
We just watched fly fishing in Missouri. We really want to try it sometime. What a great experience! Thank you for talking about meeting up with people. We are traveling soon and appreciate hearing what others are doing. BEAUTIFUL!!!!! Hope to visit that area someday! Been to GNP and south, but there is never enough time! Thanks for taking us along!
It is SO fun! As long as you go into it with low expectations to catch a fish and with patience lol! Erin was telling us that their town is on the route Yellowstone to Glacier, so it makes for a great stop along the way!
Thank you for ALWAYS putting the Covid and precautions out there! We appreciate it and have loved seeing your recent travels and living vicariously though your travels!!!
Absolutely! 🤗 We realize how weird it is to be traveling right now and we really want to stress that we are being responsible and hopefully encourage others to travel safely as well. Thank you so much for watching!
Great job guys! I just started watching your videos and I love them. I can't wait to move out to Montana soon. I love the Rockies. Thanks for sharing these memories with us.
Lot's of fun to watch!! My Grandfather was an experienced fly fisherman, watching him how he could cast in the exact spot where he wanted to land in the water was a wonder to me ! Nice memories 🙂 Looking forward to seeing your nexted adventure!!!😷🍁
My grandpa was really into fly fishing. He had his best luck around dusk and dawn close to when you had the most fly activity on the water. I wish I had the patience and interest to go with him 15 years ago, he's a bit old for it now at 93. Maybe I can catch a fish with a fly he makes Great calming video. Have a good one
It definitely requires a lot of patience hahah. That would be really cool to catch a fish with one of his flies and still get to share that moment with him in a different way! ❤️🐟
If alaska is on your adventure next summer. We live in Wasilla which is outside of anchorage. Theres a bunch of awesome trails, gold mining, salmon fishing. Love to show you what alaska has to offer in the summer!
It’s definitely wayyyy more beautiful in the summer versus the winter. July and august is the best time to come. Also, theres a denali road lottery up here where you can purchase via 3rd party or attempt to win a ticket. But allows you to drive into denali national park and camp and stay which normally you would need to do via cramped bus. Also on our channel we pitch you guys during our livestreams. So hopefully we brought you some followers!
It’s so funny to see you guys in jackets in the summer 😂. Super impressed Kona made it through that hike- our dogs would’ve given up on the side of the trail! Looked like a great time - looking forward to alpacas Sunday!!
Oh man, if only you had seen the temps we have been in the last 2 weeks...90-100 degrees in a van is brutal! Wishing we could wear jackets again lol! Kona is such a great hiker. She makes us look bad! 😜
What an awesome day! I never thought about fly fishing but it looked like so much fun and relaxing! Erin and Dan seemed like really awesome hosts and you were really lucky to have them show you their favorite places. P.S. I couldn’t help but notice how CUUUUTE Konie was❣️
They are the best! So thankful to have met them and for their awesome hospitality! Fly fishing was awesome. We may have to get those fishing poles that dad said we could store in our benches after all 😜
If you guys make it out into this part of Montana again, you may want to check out the Chinese Wall in Bob Marshall Wilderness, if your okay with overnight camping for multiple days while backpacking out to the wall. I did it with a good friend many, many years ago and it was an experience of a lifetime. If that’s not your thing, I definitely get it though. We hiked to this falls while we were in the area. Brought back many good memories. Enjoying your videos!
Sometimes the local spots are even better than well-known ones! That looked like a pretty cool hike from high on the ridge. The teaser at the end kept us wondering.. oo! What's next? What's next?? 😁
Ooo how was it in the winter? I bet absolutely beautiful! 😍 And it was a blast! We are so thankful we saved some costs by using Dan’s gear and free guidance!
When traveling I would say keep my daily route on 3x5 cards, these were retained by a large spring clip. Cut Bank MT, stop for breakfast, temperature about 35* wind normal, both myself and my friend open our doors simultaneously, big mistake. Away goes the cards and clip never to return. We enter the restaurant, a few minutes later in walks two state troopers dressed in shortsleeved shirts and shorts, WOW. Something about Cut Bank I’ll never forget.
I am but behind so I am catching up, that driving footage at the beginning was epic. Never mind the hike!!! Just got to the fishing. Okay, are the skies somehow magically bigger in parts of the US?
Wow what a magical place 👌 I ve always wanted to try fly fishing you guys made it look easy I’m sure it wasn’t , what fish were you hoping to catch in there ? Sorry you didn’t get one !
I thiiiiink we were hoping to catch trout! The weather and losing daylight made it a bit tricky, so we will plan to have more time next time and catch ‘em all! 🤞🏼🙌🏼
Gonna spend a month working remotely from Montana and exploring. My lodging options are Helena or Kalispell. Did you have any problems getting wifi/cell service near Kalispell?
Sad you feel obligated to provide a disclaimer to all the sheep in this world, so you don't lose subscribers and are shamed by them. Your videos are awesome, enjoy watching them.
It’s definitely a weird and controversial time to travel, so it’s important to us to be honest and open about how we are staying safe and keeping others safe. Thanks so much for watching! 😃
Maybe I'm just being really dumb, but why do you have to swing the rod like you're drawing a straight line on a whiteboard? 🤔 The glowing light when you were fishing on the lake was BEAUTIFUL!! It's something I've seen lots of people doing in the likes of RMNP, Yellowstone, even over in the Adirondacks, but much like you both, never tried it before, in part the license cost that you mentioned has put me off, but also because I'd have no clue what I was doing... which would make it feel like the money was wasted. Very cool that a couple of fellow subscribers opened up this opportunity for you both. Adam, are you teasing us saying there's a cute fun adventure tomorrow... is that your tomorrow and we have to wait 'til Sunday?
That is just the method Dan taught us to learn how to swing straight and smoother, but he said there are many ways to learn! It was so much fun to finally try it and we will definitely try again, but maybe somewhere cheaper or go for multiple days (our permit was for 2 days) to have a better chance of catching one. Hahaha yes Adam’s tomorrow means Sunday! But it’ll be super cute. 😍
I love the channel and you guys’ videos. Is it weird that the chewing of gum while talking drives me cray cray like fingernails on a chalkboard though? You know it’s plastic, right? Nevertheless, very inspiring and admirable what you two have built and the awesome videos and editing work. Thanks for sharing your adventures.
We’re so sorry about the gum! 😔 We have tried to not chew gum on camera anymore, but forgot this time and I agree it was pretty noticeable here. Something we are actively working on though!
We feel that it’s important to share the measures we are taking since we are traveling to multiple states and hope to set a good example during this wild time.

We are so glad you found us too! 💕

They are amazing! So incredibly nice, hospitable, and fun to be around! Very grateful for their invite and the experience we got to share ❤️

My grandfather used to make his own flies and enjoyed fly fishing many moons ago! Great hobby!
That is awesome! We really want to try it more!

Kudos for being good about your precautions.
Enjoy following your adventures ... been watching since your last trip to Hawaii

Is it the Dakota’s giving you the high heats? That area seems highly varied with their weather 🔥🌵
They were! Same with our time in Montana after we stopped filming. 🥵

We have since learned of so many cool hikes in that area and cannot wait to go back! Spoiler: 🦙🦙🦙
We loved Montana!! We went back in December and wanted to sign up for fly fishing but it was way too expensive!! Looks so fun!!
Ooo how was it in the winter? I bet absolutely beautiful! 😍 And it was a blast! We are so thankful we saved some costs by using Dan’s gear and free guidance!
“Swoopy thing” gotta add that to my vocab 😂😅
Rocky Mountains! I liked during the fly fishing shot the lady hiding behind the tree :)
Hahaha I think that was Erin! Probably afraid our poor skills would cause us to attack her with the pole 😜

Awesome video! Would love to travel to Montana
Thank you Angel! It’s an amazing state and we cannot wait to go back!
Oh no! The wind out there is crazy!
Wow you got to visit the Bob too! Good stuff. Next time you need to ride some horses here in Montana. Lol
Yes!!! That’s high on our list! We really want to visit a ranch next time.
Man I was really hoping you guys would catch fish🐟🐟🐟
Us too! Next time we’re going to get one...I can feel it!
You guy's went right through here! 🤟🤓☮💙🎶🕉 just below Flathead lake.. north of Missoula
Is that where you live?! We love that area!
Yes, I live on the opposite side of these mountains near St Ignatius & Ronan. Absolutely love it here. Love that you guy's went fly fishing 😉🤙
We don’t blame you, we love it too and would love to spend much more time there in the future! Fly fishing was super fun. We’ll get ‘em next time! 😜
I hope you do come back through, MT has so much to see 🤟🤓
We 100% will! Hoping to spend much longer there next summer!
Greetings from Tennessee. I would love to hike out in that part of the country!
Hi! We love Tennessee! Any favorite places in the state we should check out next time we visit?
@@AdventuresofAplusK The Cumberland Trail system is expanding all the time. Best hiking is late Fall!

Omg it looks so beautiful I hope to go one day 🤗❤
It’s safe to say we fell in love with Montana! Such a beautiful state!

Great video as always
Where to next
Thanks William! We have one more Montana vlog and then we’ll be heading to a brand new state!

High ridges are always breezy. That's why they call it fishing not catching. Learning is life.
