what a brilliant video thank you. in going to make these using your recipe. i found your video helpful and you explained everything brilliantly. thank you
Great video! So glad I found it! You've explained everything so well! I've a question though- I wanted to add oats instead of walnuts, so would I just put in the same amount of them in the mixture or less?
Hi! I'm looking for a recipe similar that you are teaching here. I need that the dough thiny to bake and modelling that on the wood-roll, to make biscuits like a semi-tube. I intend to serve filled with chantilly cream. Can you help me? Thanks. Maria de Lourdes Saragiotto - São Paulo - Brazil.
Golden syrup has a delicate and unique flavour that neither of the suggested substitutes would give. If not available where you live, you can make it: th-cam.com/video/M5AeldWdmEQ/w-d-xo.html
It is basically a sugar based product that comes in a tin, readily available in the UK but also available from Ebay. In the UK it is used quite often as a dessert topping or added to puddings like steamed suet sponges, it is also added to biscuit recipes. It has a unique taste, like caramel but lighter, or maybe cotton candy? We often add butter and/ or cream to it to richen up the taste, a little pinch of salt works too. Good luck with it 🍪🥞🌈🤗⭐

Do you have to open the flame of the oven from down or up? Or both?
Is there a substitute for golden syrup? Or can I not use the golden syrup. With thanks
Glucose? Treacle?

He didn’t mention the quantities or the ingredients. That’s useless. Everyone make it isn’t a big secret though
What video are you watching? Of course he mentions the quantities and ingredients. Watch the video from 0:35.
Plus there’s a link to his website which has the recipe on it
