YES! I love the way Frank Wright takes you around to all the horses and gets in the thick of everything. Today, there are a group of yuppies who know nothing about racing other than what they studied and memorized like a college course, but it's evident they are not representative of the horse racing industry. These original broadcasts are awesome and I am so glad you have put them on here for everyone to enjoy. They are a real gem. Thank you.
Having saw these races when I was 10 yo these are a treat for any generation to watch and enjoy because they are so rare. So once again sit back relax and enjoy.
Despite the production quality (not your fault cf : ), I like these broadcasts better than the coverage today. They took you right inside the preparation f the horse and the jockey.
could not agree with you more deepthreat... live and unvarnished...none of the hyperscripted studio talk, and while a little "up close and personal" behind the scenes stories of the principals is welcome, here the horse and sport still stand for themselves. You can taste the main ingredients above all the spice and sauce.

I noticed Secretariat looked at the camera and stared for a moment at 8:05 ...none of the other horses did..
Wow, the tension builds.
I never knew they saddled outside in the Belmont.
These are a fantastic find, CF. Thanks so much! :-)
@deb90566...we were watching up in Canada as well.
I could be wrong but I think they still saddle them for the Preakness outside - on the turf course I think
GOAT.
