Great video. Was able to replace both of them. Took me about 1 hour each, plus some time needed to go borrow the ball joint tool from my local Autozone. Could not have done it without it. Thanks!!
I used the video step by step. The rear bolts took a very long time to get out and to get the new bushing realigned. I see comments acknowledging the ride height. After a few phone calls to Firestone, Pep-Boys, and a local suspension shop; they all said the same thing. Jack up the control arm to what is parallel to the vehicle frame. (This is eyeballing) I did this and my car is fine.) but in a quality inspectors point of view, you would have to use a tape measure as I have seen in other videos, and seating the tire on the floor or having lift capable of seating the vehicles wheels while in the air. This is not available to everyone and sometimes eyeballing is okay to do. The worst outcome you can have after a decent installation is a misalignment, which is relatively easy to spot. Thanks for the video.
When lifting the control arm how do you know what the correct ride height is? Wouldn’t it be more accurate to put the tire back on and drop the car onto ramps then proceed with torquing the control arm bolts.

Yeah but he’s lazy
A couple loving bonks. Sounds like something this guy would say as part of a defense case in court
The irony, I need to change that in for the exact make and model and side of the car
the rear 19 mm bolt that goes up from the back wont turn in the bushing for me
Just got my passenger side lower control arm changed and my car steering is pulling to left. It was fine before changing lower control arm
So the bolt that holds the ball joint into the knuckle could be tight with a wrench
Great video ❤
Frozen bushing bolt! GRRRR. off to the shop...
Good job bubba 👏
Great video thanks
❤❤❤❤❤❤
Tq watching
you smashed the backing plate
for me the ball joint did not pop out from pickle fork....
oops - disregard. i hit it harder :)
