How I Installed NEW T TOP SEALS on my 1984 Camaro Z28

I've owned 2 cars with T Tops, and they both leaked. I think this is fairly common on older GM F-Body and G-Body cars. I bought new seals from Jegs- SoftSeal brand. Will they fix my leaks? Watch to find out...

You should have got the entire t-top weatherstrip kit. Ive also seen, there is an actual factory t-top seal kit, and an aftermarket one.

My '82 Firebird has been a nightmare for sealing.. problem is I live in a country with huge amounts of rain.. the seals hold for about 5 minutes before water starts pouring in

A few months after I installed these seals, I adjusted the tops to fit tighter. They are very tight now, and I am no longer getting any leaks from them. Time will tell. I'm still not convinced it will last very long.

Another reason I didn’t order a T Top on my 80 Z/28 when I was buying new Z/28’s in 77,78 and 80. Suggestion, if you have a rubber weatherstrip that isn’t high enough to seal, you can jam in some dumb dumb or the urathane you have to make it a tighter seal.

Smart. Yes, I have used that or some small pieces of vacuum or fuel line in some spots like the corners.

I’ve never had a G body car with t tops, but I’d imagine it’s pretty similar.
