Love your content so much bro - so entertaining. I can already make desi food thanks to my mum and Nani teaching me from young but your videos are so good I love watch them to learn new stuff. Thanks so much for blessing us with this free content !!!!!
Made this last night, But , I put 1 mug of water in and that was more than enough (for me) Mrs was very happy with it , she was asking evey 5 mins when it will be ready! I'll be trying some others very soon. Cheers Cullum
I cooked this chicken curry last night and must say it was delicious thank you for shearing your knowledge of cooking with us it's really appreciated thank you
Made this last night, having already made your Korma and meat curry from your excellent cookbook. Turned out amazing once again. Love your twist on technique, like with the tomatoes and using quite a lot of water. Watching the sauce thicken and come together towards the end is subliminal man!
Tried this tonight, comment from the wife "This tastes so authentic!" Not sure what this says about my previous curries....going to have to buy the cookbook.
My onions were so much more brown at the point of adding tomatoes to your video I must have had it set too high, I hope it still turns out ok or should I start again ?
How would you do this same curry if you already have pre cooked chicked (tikka, tandoori etc) I guess you don't add the chicken at the same time as you do because of the flavours? Thanks
@@whatinthechef I've actually just been to shop and bought some thighs but they have the bone in so would you say I remove the bone and the skin and chop it up into pieces ?
Because he thinks it's healthier and he has no clue how bad vegetable oils are, also , the change fron ghee to vegetable oils has not been good for the average Indians general health
Reduction isn't simply removing water, it helps to lose any off flavours from volatiles, especially useful when making stock. In this case I think it's also about caramalisation. If you start with all the water in at once it's going to take longer to reduce down to the right consistency for this to happen, and you would still need to add back in once it's ready for it anyway.
@baghiballsakh82 reduction is nothing more than simmering away some of the water in whatever liquid you're using so that what remains is the flavorful non-water part. This gives you the flavor without all of the volume. Adding water reduces the flavour. Your reply is incorrect. Don't believe me google it
Why use this much of vegetable oil ? Wake up people, start switching to cold pressed oils and watch some Dr. Berg videos on refined oils to all the Western people reading this !
You can reduce this if you want!!! It serves 4, so everyone can have some masala to enjoy. You can always just at 350-400ml if you wanted, or just reduce it down further. It’s preference.

Thanks, I'm from Bradford and spoilt for good curry but always like to see simple chicken curry. When Did u take the cinnamon stick out
You don't have to take it out, but if you want to, I would take it out after simmering it with the chicken for the first 10-12 minutes.
Made this today and it was so good. Husband loved it too. Thank you 😊

Hey, they are measuring cups and can be bought from any supermarket. Each one of them grey cups is 4 tbsp, 60 ml.
Thank youuuu
I would love to know your take on my favourite dish, a Dhansak. Your madras was fabulous!

Looks great!! Us Bengali don’t usually use kasthuri methi
Thanks, and yes it’s not Bengali specific. Just general after trying many different versions.

I appreciate that, thanks man
Love the food and the after tips
Keep up the good work 👊🏾
just cooked this....banging!
🙌🏽🙌🏽
Could u put cream in it at the end?
For the uninitiated, why does the garam masala go in later then the other spices?
You may add it along with other masalas but if you need that extra punch of raw garam masala you add a bit at last. Its not mandatory.
@@vishalsnayak Aha, makes sense.Thank you for your reply!
Just started watching you, contents is fantastic!
Thank you 🙏🏽 more to come
Would you say i could use chicken drumsticks instead of thighs as im planning on making this for tea tomorrow?
You mean keeping them whole? I would say use cut up thighs for definite.

How would you change it if you used chicken breast. Also we need a instant noodle dish!!!!
I recommend not using chicken breast as it’s dry. But if you do, use a mix of thighs and breast. And add around 10 tbsp of oil

Why do you use oil instead of ghee

Probably most restaurants use vegetable oil I guess.
Because he’s in the UK and it’s not that common to come buy
@him050 I'm in uk, it's sold in supermarkets
