I can still remember the first time I heard the main theme to Man of Steel. Hans Zimmer managed to show me just how powerful music could be with just one theme. "An Idea of Hope" was the piece of music that sparked my passion for soundtrack music. I also have a great love for the original Superman theme by John Williams. It was everything that Superman stood for all summed up in a single Orchestral piece. Even though I enjoyed Batman more as I grew up, I still have a lot of Nostalgia and love for Superman. He's still my second favorite DC hero. Batman is a force of nature who fights Criminals. But Superman stands for something that people can rally behind. He is meant to represent what everyone on earth should be. The music behind his character has always been so special to me and mixing both of these pieces felt like a part of my childhood coming full circle. This music inspired me as a kid to create music that is equally inspiring. I'm doing my best to pursue that dream. But then again, I'm just a kid from Kansas, trying to do the right thing.

Very well done. Both are great themes, I thought the John Williams theme would be unbeatable, but Hans Zimmer created something equally as stirring, just very different... this piece brings the two together very well.

Henry Cavill being a part of an amazing brotherhood of men who taught us to believe that a man could fly, has honored those who came before him and made them all proud, from those watching from the Heavens, to those who are still with us. Man of Steel is a movie that like it's predecessors, will last a lifetime.
This is by far the best mash ups I ever listened to It's very amazing and breathtaking very well done but there are still some flaws to this mash up it lacks the big majestic drum beat

Awesome arrangement. Seems like there was some dissonance in the last part trying to cross the melodies over the top of each other. Sounds great otherwise.
there are a few voices that aren't quite right but ...
Your mix started out so well and I can immediately tell your piano background. However, as the mix kept going I can also pick up the gaps in your experience here and there. Don't get me wrong it was a great attempt but the overall mixing, sound design, and humanizing on parts needs fine tuning. Keep going you will get there as you clearly have the basics, heart and talent so many others are lacking these days.

Started off good then went downhill.
This is the perfect example of digital media ruining physical art. Nothing can replace an orchestra. There's no life in this.
When you have a passion for composition and don't have an orchestra at your beck and call... You make do with what you have and wait til you have the opportunity. As someone who has met him in person... he's going to be as great if not greater than John Williams.
This is what the soundtrack should have been. I found MoS to be thoroughly dull and boring. If Zimmer had worked more of Williams' iconic score into the music it would have made the experience 100% better. It would still be a dull and utterly forgettable film, but a far more memorable soundtrack. There is nothing hummable or earworm worthy in Zimmer's efforts, you cant help but march out of the cinema humming a Williams tune, they just stick with you.
