Your are literally documenting a point in time when Japanese street and track racers began and abandoned there love for a car culture. I'm sure for different reasons but yes it's sad to see there passion broken and fade away.
Damn, these words hit a spot in my heart. It just shows how much we as a society are controlled by the media in masses. If we don't stick to our passions, it will all be taken away from us.
Man you need to bring Capt to Yokohama after he finished his service and do something together, he’s such a cool dude but always show professionalism in the videos, love it!
@@liamcluett1298 the cost yes, absolutely so. But the value to the owner though, might be different. Some people have restored junk into pristine beauties, because they want to. And if nothing else, some parts can be taken off and used to save other cars. The sum of the parts may be worth more than the whole.
Oh god, all those 180's just disappearing into rust, just so sad. I remember when I was a kid in the early 2000's playing Need for Speed Underground and my favorite car was the 180 because it had the best looking taillights when you upgraded them to the chrome inserts. It pains me to see them like that but, life goes on and so do the memories of these great JDM legends.

@@markphillips6998 It's the same here in the Netherlands I think. Once a car is scrapped it's often because of failed inspection like you have MOT. So sad to see. I almost couldn't bear to watch to the end. I'm glad my old S13 is in good hands and doing well. With all the time and money I put into it, I couldn't bear seeing it rot away or turn into a drift missile.

i find abandoned cars like this sad, of course but also in a sense soothing? the cars have their own tales and stories they've gone trough and now, they're in a sense resting till they're part of the ground or pulled up and brought back to life. but knowing one was taken just to be salvaged and scrapped would break my heart the most

is there like a legal way in Japan to get these cars fixed up and registered again? or are these considered as written off / stolen and therefore arent road legal?
Love the channel and content, keep it up, breaks my heart to see these beautiful cars just rotting away and more so sad that some of them are to far gone or soon enough will just become trash
This literally brings tears to my eyes I can't help but to think about each cars past... The places they took the people that loved them and happiness and the memories that they brought too them as well and then to see them in this state is truly heart breaking.
My thoughts are just think of what cars are going to be the next most desirable and start stockpiling them like trust ikaku did with skylines and Nissan parts
Awesome video Sam and all those cars just wasting away. The rusted holes placement on the trunk of the red 180 look like where the rear spoiler was attached. The EK civic looks like the only car I’d want from that car lot and part out the rest.
Hey sam its so sad to see good cars just sitting & just rusting away when some can be worked on & brought back to life & i know i would work on one to bring back to life & reselling the car like new again.

I came across your channel today and I have watched a few of your abandoned cars videos. It honestly breaks my heart to see such beautiful cars dumped and rotting especially such sought after cars. I live in Victoria Australia and here even base models of some of these are worth a fortune, the JDM scene here would be so sad to see these. Fantastic videos though, I'm keen to see more abandoned treasures you and your friends find.
For some reason these abandoned car videos are so intriguing to me. Really makes me wonder about the history of the car and the reason the owner left it.
That Datsun ute is a Datsun 620, really old! Like 70's old. It looks surprisingly good on the outside considering, maybe it hasnt been there that long? On the other hand, that rust on the black 180 is insane! It looks like the mounts for the hatch have rusted away and the hatch has slid down? Wild Such a shame to see those cars go to waste, yes they might not be salvageable as a whole car but there is definitely ALOT of parts and panels that can keep other cars alive Really enjoy watching videos like this, sad but cool to see at the same time, Japan is awesome
Another great video man! Honestly, there is no point in salvaging those bodies, I would say get whatever parts you can still use and maintain the ones that are still in better conditions. If you see more Starlets, please film them! (I would love to go to Japan 🇯🇵 one day)
Redundant title is Redundant. BttF had the sports almanac plot point. To be fair, the only one that may be worth saving was that first red JZX100, everything else was too far gone. Scavenge parts to save other cars sure, but unless we get to a point where there's like no clean examples left in the world I wouldn't spend the time/money to restore those shells.
Great video's Sam and oh so sad. You never mention it but I'm sure you must realise that the reason some of the cars suffer so badly with rust could be because they are victims of the 2011 Tsunami and were probably partially or even fully submerged in sea water. Can't think of any other reason why the rot should be so bad, sea spray or not. Keep up the good work.
