There are literally layers in the music, where the music tells you the beginning, development of the story, and the ending, how much niko has changed and how much he had been through, the fact that he can never escape.I'm not even talking about the scenario. Mad respect to old version of R* .

@@cyprianmaciej1605 agreed, not that's it's sad they haven't done again since, but it'd definitely be cool to revisit such grittiness. Maybe that'll be the game after GTA6 since it's Vice City.
@@fruitsn4ck quit possible, but it would be the 3rd game taking place in liberty city and i wonder if R* will limit the GTA series to basically their versions of NY, LA and Miami or if they approach new cities in future games.
San Francisco would be interesting and it was already or should I say "only" a part of GTA San Andreas.
Detroit in the late 90's / early 2000's or Seattle duringthe Pandemic could also be interesting playgrounds.
I'm also wondering if they ever make a GTA London, but honestly I never played the old version.
@@cyprianmaciej1605 I've always been interested in a London version but that was considering the Housers Bro would be writing it, but since literally everyone from OG R* is gone, well R* is gone really, they're just one and the same with their (very shitty/evil corporate) parent company TakeTwo Interactive. I really wish they'd revisit games like Bully and The Warriors, or even Manhunt (but eh stuff like that don't fly too easy these days). I'd even L.A Noire, of course in my perfect world I'd want the same writers that worked w each respective material/intellectual property but I'd even with some watered down version of each. I've always wanted to make spiritual successors to games like this, games that deserved more titles and even games that weren't properly executed (like Watch Dogs) but idk squat when it comes to game making. I feel like Max Payne and RDR are pretty much done but hey I would NOT complain. I'd love to Jack Marston's whole story, play a wacky RPG as a settled down Max Payne.

Darkest GTA ever and not in a edgy way. I think the story of Niko Bellic is the most awfully real compared to all the other games of the franchise. If GTA VI story is half as good as this one I will be happy.

@@RealMakarovthat's because everyone kept rushing through the story. If you take your time to listen to the car ride dialog and hang out with people, it's a pretty decent story. That's why RDR2 made the rides so long, so nobody misses anything.

This GTA is honestly a very mature take on crime in general. Niko’s life of crime doesn’t pay and honestly this game is a great advertisement towards living the straight and narrow.
This game embodies the notion that “crime doesn’t pay”, even with all the money Niko feels hollow in the end.

I can still remember the nostalgic feeling I got when I was a kid turning my xbox 360 on connecting to xbox live for the first time ever and playing GTA 4. I remember those disks you could get on eBay with like modded versions of the game so you could fly the train around on multiplayer sessions hahaha such a great time... I dearly miss those moments

@@leopardsky The game is going to be massive, but I don't know if it can live up to RDR2.
The game is going to be in a weird place were hundreds of thousands (maybe millions) are still playing GTAV Online/FiveM as that has become a collossal thing in its own right. They'll probably release the online a few months after the singleplayer like with GTAV and RDR2.
I'm just hoping for a great single player story/gameplay. The whole Bonnie & Clyde thing is interesting and the return to Vice City should be great.
Every GTA has satire and jokes but if they could balance it with a gritty story like GTAIV, that would be great.
It's definitely going to be unlike any other GTA in terms of gameplay. From the leaks it looks like they're using the social interaction system from RDR2 and the way you use equipment in the off-hand along with the duffelbag you can carry is going do a lot of realism and gameplay. Similar to RDR2 where you have a shouldered weapon and one drawn over the back, but it looks like you can drop any of these weapons this time.
I mean it's Rockstar, they always deliver with the singleplayer, not so much the online, but we'll see.
I really hope they don't go full on Satire XD funny pop culture to appeal to the mainstream audience of Normies like they did with 5. I have a sneaking suspicion however that they will probably will do that though, unfortunately. I don't deny 5 was good in its own way, but for me it was just wayyyyyyy too much satire and pop culture references. I couldn't take the game seriously at all for most of it, which disappointed me.
GTA 4 was a really good example of a more serious and realistic story, It was depressing and grim, and it portrayed new yorks infamous crime scene quite well. There weren't any heroes in GTA 4, Just a bunch of people coming to america hoping to start anew, only to find out America is just as bad, if not worse in some ways, than back home. You get to see the thinly veiled mask america wears, and the true face underneath it.
As for it being overhyped, It's definitely a possibility. Have to be careful with hype over games these days.

The story of this game is so dark and real, the apartment got burned down from niko and roman, niko is depressed because he knows how gruesome and cold the buisness is, he just want a good life, but instead everybody he loves got killed, hes a smart guy who knows the business, as a young man i first played it and it felt so real, the character development niko made from start to end is breathtaking, i love rockstar because of gta 4
