    As a first time publisher I think this is the best video and only video that has stuck with me and I keep going to as a reference when creating this pitch. This is the template Im using and sticking with, thank you so much for sharing this with us!

    This is extremely helpful and informative. I'm still making the art for my graphic novel. and I was just making the story up as I go along. (Which is probably not a very good idea.) So now this helps me to really think about all of the characters and the story a bit more.

    Thanks for being so open, Michael. That is helpful information explained very clearly. The concept for Sleepover sounds like a winner and the illustrations look authentic so that they carry the emotions convincingly. I'm working on a graphic novel here in Germany (scenario and sketches complete, working on inking and colouring) and will see how your experienced tips work here. Best of luck with Sleepover!

    First of all, Thank you for making this video!
    I’ve always wanted to write and publish something. For the past couple of months I’ve had this idea for a mini series but I didn’t know how to pitch one or if I’d have to buy a book to learn. But this video is very insightful and now I know how to write one in the correct way. Thank you again!
    Super nervous but I can’t wait to cook up something I’ve wanted to tell for months

    I’m here a little late, but this is incredibly well done and informative! I plan on pitching my own graphic novel, and this gives me a lot of insight into the process. Thank you for your work!

    Thank you very much for so much insights, I’m in the process of writing my first pitch and your video is very helpful,
    I have just one question about the synopsis, the story for which I’m doing the pitch has 4 arcs, do you recommend writing a synopsis for the first arc or the whole story ?

    • @Michael.Regina
      @Michael.Regina  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Glad it was helpful! I'd say write a full outline of the first book, and then a much smaller one for the others. A lot will change over time, but you need a clear visions for that first book. Good luck!

      @@Michael.ReginaThat’s what I end up doing, a synopsis for the whole story but focusing on the first arc and passing by the others briefly until the conclusion,
      Thanks a lot Michael !

    Hey Micheal, Thank you for the tips. Can someone from Asia submit a pitch Graphic Novel manuscript to US publishers?

    • @Michael.Regina
      @Michael.Regina  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi! Thanks for being here! That’s a good question. I don’t see why you couldn’t, but I honestly don’t know what all of the logistics of it would be. Best thing to do would probably be to try and get a literary agent to help navigate those waters.

    How small a graphic novel can be?

    • @Michael.Regina
      @Michael.Regina  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Really depends on the publisher. Around 200 pages seem pretty standard.

      @@Michael.Regina thanks so much. Mine is 40 pages only, so is not a graphic novel then. I really appreciate the video and the info. I’m looking for a colorist. If you know anyone that can work on a budget, please let me know
