@@tyrannomon267 I had that issue with Cutthroat for years and then I realised he had been put together wrong, it keeps together pretty well now i've put it together how it's ment to be. Worth checking yours too.
The new Superion is more accurate, but I prefer seeing the jets on the front of the legs and having the nosecones of the leg bots be knee spikes for Superion. So… this Combiner Wars is better for those reasons.
My main issue is less the concept of getting new G1 combiner toys with better proportions and accuracy to the G1 cartoon and moreso the fact... why more G1 English cartoon combiners? Why not redos of Power Core Combiner characters, replacing the automorph with active transformation? Aren't fans getting board of G1 shilling?
I don't like the new superion following the motormaster/menasor build because it makes 2 of the members useless aside from filling spring loaded holes in a kind of poorly integrated way. Menasor had an excuse for the combining method it did but I really still wish that the leg bots did more than fill holes. Superion looks better in combiner wars in the leg department due to not having entire robots hanging off the back folded up into a cube. There's also the price issue where the torso bots now cost 90 dollars plus tax which is wayyyyy too steep. I also like the amount of variety of characters combiner wars had but I hated how almost all of them were ether JP or subscription service and convention exclusives. Grand galvatron, megatronia, wreckage, thunder mayhem, predacus, the list goes on. They're all just gonna be squatted on by scalpers for the next 2 decades or so probably.

The Skeleton system has it's benefits, I won't deny it. but the inner Power Rangers fan in me just can't say it's better. I like the Asymmetry, plus the design is more appealing, having that G1 Flair but with a healthy dose of stylization that makes it more interesting to look at. The new combiners, barring Devastator, is too G1 for me it looks too bland. It's too boring. I was born in 2003 and grew up watching the G1 Cartoon, but I watched every piece of media, so i don't gave that one continuity I'm loyal too. So I don't have that big of love to full G1 Accuracy. I rather have Stylization with the characters' spirit over full G1 Accuracy. Do that's why in the case of Superion, Defensor, Bruticus, Volcanicus, Victorion, Megatronia, Menasor, and Computron, I side with Combiner Wars. In Devastator's case, TFC Toys Hercules is the best in my eyes. Predaking, Prianacon, and Liokaiser needs a CW/Legacy Scaled figure Menasor, I like legacy, but it's too boring to look at. I rather get a Menasor 2.0 with the CW System, Offroad and Blackjack as extra members, done in the style of TF Devastation. That would be a peak Menasor for me.
The problem with this argument is it implies there's combining going on. None of the stunticons form limbs. None of the Arialbots do either. Their leaders form the head. Combiner wars on the other hand, despite it's flaws, is far superior on the sole account that it's a proper combination. The bots are the respective parts of the combiner, not merely slapped onto a frame. Yes, the frame designs are better as figures, but that's incredibly unfair to use as a point against true combination when the engineering quality escalated so much between combiner wars and legacy which saw the debut of these New "combiners". If the combiner wars style of combination was done today, it would look and function far better because the quality of each bot will improve tenfold by being released in the current line. "But accuracy!" No. Aotp superion is NOT accurate. The chest and head is, but the waist is not accurate, nor is the arms, nor is the legs themselves. In fact, the frame style of combination for superion is going AGAINST the show accuracy philosophy as superion's limbs were made to be the entire robot. You can even see on the show model details omitted by the menasor retooling the toy designers did, such as the chests of the two leg robots being the front of the legs. Menasor, like it or not, did admittedly work. That's just menasor's whole thing, and he's mostly accurate for using it. aotp Superion falls apart immediately under the lens of accuracy because it just cannot be accurate; it's functionality betrays it. Even the individual robots aren't good. Silverbolt is fine, but the "base mode" is just insulting and his teammates don't transform so much as fall over onto their faces. All the benefits of modern engineering went to a perfect robot mode, at the expense of the combiner and at the expense of everything else alongside it. There is no defense of Aotp superion, and no defense of the frame system beyond menasor; combiner wars had the perfect system, it just needed the benefits of modern engineering that it couldn't get at the time.
Combiner Wars gets points in my book for actually make the limbs from the robots. The Menasor and Superion look more full, but they also "cheat" the combining by making unnecessary, because the central figure is already a complete robot, and just wears the smaller bots as armor.
I prefer the oversize CW Devastator because I feel it makes him more special and imposing over the other combiners (plus, scales nicely with Omega Supreme), but I'm all in on the new Menasor and Superion. Looking forward to the upcoming Bruticus as well! :D
I think people just want their combiners to, you know, combine? Sure the skeleton is sturdier and all but it's boring. Where's the fun and creativity? You are slapping vehicles on a finished robot and that's it. The G1 toys did more transforming than these. It worked on Menasor because that's just how he was back in G1 but this same model won't work for everyone
Yup I feal the same it's more of a big robot wearing the rest of the team as armor, I prefer the actual robot becoming a limb, that being said I don't mind part forming to fill some gaps or wierd joint areas
I really don't mind my Unite warriors Abominus, Computron & Piranacon. Devastator, Superion And above all Menasor needed an upgrade though. Bruticus too.
It's not that the new ones are bard they just fundamentally fail. I went to buy a transformer and got a non transforming an action master with some missing kibble. At least menasor could justify it and devistator avoids it but still
This new Superion looks G1 accurate. No, Silverbolt didn't have the rocket pack, but the cartoon itself looked like it had the skeleton system the same as Menasor.
Menasor and Devastator look Amazing and are great uses of the spare parts. Superion looks terrible and only the limb bots benefit. Silverbolt suffers the most from it, I feel like if they heavily remolded and added some parts to specifically CW silverbolt then I would like this a lot more. And it’s not like they couldn’t have done it, he’s a commander class. That’s 60 extra dollars of budget than he was at that time.
Combiner Wars is a fantastic update to Limitless Combination / Scramble City and that play pattern has way more appeal than screen accuracy. Most of the complaints about Combiner Wars are also true of those original 1986 toys and those original toys still have a lot of appeal. The new members actually play into the pattern once all members are released and honestly? I wouldn't have minded more combiner wars. Another year for more limbs and bodies.
Agreed however there is one annoying issue I have with Legacy Motormaster I wish people brought up more, the shoulder plastic around the pins have a tendency to snap, crack and break. I've had 2 copies of Legacy Motormaster and it's happened twice. Fortunately i fixed it with superglue but super annoying I had to do that in the first place. I really hope Silverbolt doesn't have that same problem.
Wooah man chill. Combiner Wars Devastator was not entirely bad, Superion was decent, and Menasor could be fixed even without upgrades. These new ones are pretty good too. Here me out, both are equal. Combiner wars has the creativity. Not only can you scramble but you can also make your own combiners. Everyone became a combiner. Ironhide, Sky reign, Smokescreen, Jazz, and they all could be mixed and matched with different torsos. The new combiners are more cleaner, more posable, and more stable, evoking their g1nes. One cannot be worse than the other. Ying isn't greater or less than Yang. There isn't a less or greater amount of evil as there is to good.
It’s kinda not fair to compare the devastator as well because one sacrificed the robot modes of the bots to make the devastation good. And either way the new devastator still looks good, just with a bit less detail.
I'm skipping on Devastator because it's too much like the Combiner Wars which I skipped on that as well. Those skinny upper arms are exactly like the old version and when it separates from the tracks making the chest too wide and not accurate kills it for me. I'm sure there'll be an upgrade kit but I ain't throwing more money and doing all that. Back to waiting for a definitive version like the 86 Optimus that finally came.
In my opinion combiner wars figures aren’t accurate but they sure do look cool and I had nostalgic memories for a lot of the combiner wars figures but combiner wars has something special for me that’s why I’d prefer tracking the combiner wars figures
The best combiners are not made by Hasbro, they are made by 3ed party, the G1 combiner designs are outdated and they should be retired. And I'm talking about the old 3ed party combiners like TFC Hercules and Fansproject Motorsquad.
My two cents? The new Menasor and Devastator are nice, I do like their design AND the way they managed their combiner kibble as trailers. Specially for Legacy Menasor; for me it "makes sense". Too bad we've got *everyone but Motormaster* in Brazil. Just like in Combiner Wars, Hasbro! 🤦 I DID NOT like the new Aerealbots' new looks, mostly Silverbolt, and didn't really like the combiner armature for Superion (the existence of it, not the Gestalt's visual). I'd rather go after the JuJiang OSKO Superion instead, as I do prefer my Gestalts being gigantic in most cases (Superion is a JET combiner, c'mon!). If anything, I'd go after Legacy Menasor, but I've already finished a CW Menasor with KOs of PerfectEffect's kits so... Not sure _yet_. Not interested on either AotP Superion (will go after JuJiang) or SS86 Devastator (got Jimbao Gravity Builder). Gotta wait for the new Defensor, though. 🤔
Why does one have to be "better" than the other? Why can't it just be up to individual preferences." Personally, I prefer Combiner Wars because the figures are fully integrated with each other and also interchangeable like the classic scramble teams, whereas when I look at new Legact/AotP versions all I see is a giant robot wearing the rest of its teem as gap fillers. I don't care about cartoon accuracy, and Superion isn't really all that accurate anyway since only Menasor was ever drawn with the limbs as glorified armor for Motormaster. I also don't have any problems with the CW figures having "weird" thigh gaps in arms. They are alien robots after all. Legacy Menasor was already an easy pass for me, and the new Supereon will be too. I'd maybe be tempted by the new Devastator, but my collector's budget ain't what it used to be, and I'd rather spend my limited funds on entirely new figures than new versions of an entire team I already have. None of this is me saying the new combiners are bad. They just aren't for me, but I'm glad they exist for the people who do want them.
I’m fine with the “cheating” with the shell of the combined form, but I think the individual bots look kind of cheap. Maybe they’ll be better in person.
only better in the sense of posing and being more sturdy but that's it since they are no longer Combiners - they have become and should've been renamed as such: Inserters.
Devastator was the only CW Combiner I liked in its combined form. With every other team I preferred the individual bots. Sadly, the CW Constructicons were $#!* as individual bots. With the new combiners, the individual bots have been even better so far, and I actually like the combined forms now. Win-win. Right now, I'm planning on giving my CW collection to my nephew when he's old enough for them in a few years. At least they'll still get some love that way.
Combiner wars was held back because everything was interchangeable and the torsos were only voyagers, if the torsos were leaders and the limbs voyagers that were made only for their combiner than I wouldn’t take issue with that
Also everything HAD to be retooled to something else, as a result you get two very mediocre figures instead of going the extra mile and making new molds
I'm still unsatisfied with AOTP Superion, doesn't mean I like CW Like, here's an example that POSSIBLY able to make the combiner gimmick "actually combine" Since there's split gimmick on Dead End and Drag Strip, why not make the elbow there to peg with both front and back of Dead End/Dragstrip
Not every limb or torso from cw was equally good. Maybe if the legacy limbs were voyager size they could better fit that intended limb instead of being an armor piece.
I think both combiner sistem look good. It depends on the preference. One is about mix and match the limbs and the other is about accuracy and articulation
For me its not that the new ones aren't better its the fact that I'm content with my combiner wars Devastator despite its issues and just want some cool combiners that look and pose well enough. I definitely feel like the new combiners are better in terms of posability build quality and accuracy.
To be honest, the new combiners are WAY better than Combiner Wars. The old combiners version from Combiner Wars are absolute shit! The new ones are way better and accurate to the shows!!
Fr. I had the CW g2 bruticus and computron and they were just fun for the time but they had boring transformations and the combiner modes were extremely unproportional and would fall off
Loving the look of the new combiners, I hope we see a Bruticus and Defensor in the same style too But Combiner Wars/Power of the the Prime was more about the mix and match thing and that's still cool if you want to make your own combiner. And I honestly can't see us getting a better Abominus or Volcanicus any time soon, I don't think they would even really work in the exoskeleton style.
I personally don't like them reusing the Menasor combiner style. It worked for Menasor because he had a trailer that could become the frame and his combined mode design was already hard to work in to a figure. But why reuse this system on a combiner that never needed that? They had a really good design with the combiner wars version, all they needed to do was modify it with modern design standards and perfect it. I prefer normal combiner that actually require the individual robots to combine and form the body instead of just being attached to a frame. The frame design just sucks the fun out of combining the thing. Yea it may look better in combined mode but it just cheats to get that result.
I personally welcome the new ones mainly because I don’t have many figures from CW. I mainly have figures from TR and I couldn’t even do a Deceptacon Combiner until POTP. So having Legacy Menasor and now an Age of the Primes Superioron and a SS86 Devastator. Well I’m just thankful for a job because my wallet wants to murder me.
combiner wars devasator I bought a ko and it was okay, this new one looks better. I'd had 2 third party devastators that were like 3 feet tall when combined and its just too big
I'm happy for CHUG collectors that they've options between CW scramble city and these sturdier new gen combiners. I'm personally happy about the emerging popularity of all-in-one combiners in the 3rd party scene. & I hope that one day, we get a whole new generation of combiners with quadruped combined modes (for diversity) where the scramble city gimmick can be revisited once we have the technology to make the combined modes sturdy and clean.
Yes, I never got CW Menasor because he looked really bad, and I never got CW Superion because he's not my favorite combiner. I did get the Unite Warriors Bruticus, he was my favorite, plus the upgrades to make him better. That said, I'm really very curious how HasTak will redesign the leg frames, because his vehicles are on the front of the shins, not the back. I did buy the new Menasor, minus Breakdown, and I will buy Superion too, because he looks so good.
10 years ago when thrilling 30 was over and they started doing the prime trilogy thats when i stopped collecting transformers, that menasor was ugly, i do low key regret never getting devastator since thats where all the budget went. As soon as i saw they were doing beast wars in kingdom thats when i got back in and collected most of siege and some of earthrise and then burned myself out of transformers for most of legacy. But im all in for age of the primes!
I am going to keep my cw (not exact version i have) devy by the looks of it i have the upgrade kits on him, i dont need to spend stupid amounts to get a new version.
I got a hot take and ill be attack for this. Yeah i mentioned the love for the franchise killed it for me once TF4 rolled around till 2020. And while yes i was young.....i absolutely hated the prime wars trilogy toys as for me they looked so boring alot of them. During Christmas 2020, the only sort of ok fig i received was jazz (my first one in a literal decade) and outback which they were good. Still even in reviews i never really saw any appealing to any of the prime wars trilogy toys except yk some stuff like twin twist and topspin example
You're always going to end up in a circular argument with a lot of collectors because many of them just have the figures sitting on the shelf. Like CW Devastator they combined it once and sat it on the shelf in a pose, they don't try to play with it or the individual robots. I sold mine because it couldn't hold up to being handled. But if you look at the side by side without factoring playability in..they are very similar visually.
I think the issue is play-value vs display-value. Personally, I want display-value that's still fun to transform, and that's what the new combiners are giving me. I think Combiner Wars has better play-value though. CW is simpler, easier to transform, and won't take as long to prep for battle, and that's what I wanted from my transformers 20 years ago.
I don't think i gona colect the new combiners, just buy a comander class ou two deluxes. I have the CW defensor and i am fine with it. Plus it took 4 year to buy all the figure necessary to make the combiner
To be honest, I can see why people aren't too big fans of the skeletal system as it feels less involved, hell when I got Legacy Menasor fully complete I wasn't completely sold on it either. But over the time of having him, I've been finding myself to be enjoying it a bit more each time, putting both the individual bots, and especially the combined form into poses. It's solid and sturdy, and yet even with its combination method it surprisingly looks good. Right now, Menasor has Strongarm under his foot, with his sword raised up and his double barrel gun pointed towards her, and each time I pass by it, I just admire and appreciate this new update to Menasor; The old Combiner wars Menasor would NEVER be able to hold such a pose, it's just REALLY fun. That's why I'm looking forward to the Studio Series Devastator, AOTP Superior, and most likely coming next, the AOTP Bruticus. These are just my thought though, maybe some people just prefer the concept/aesthetic of Combiner Wars, which is fair enough. I just personally get the Transformers because I find it enjoyable to play with them, getting them into poses and whatnot.
I prefer the new combiners but combiner wars had a more updated design with different modes for the components and honestly accuracy isn’t everything. Sometimes you need to try something new
Terrible paint, awful “articulation,” hardly any mold variety, cheap plastic, awful joints… All slander is deserved. Titans Return, Combiner Wars, and the Prime trilogy were so awful I barely bought anything until the War for Cybertron trilogy.
@juice2307 I was with you until titans Return. Those molds are still amazing. They're still reusing them. Sixshot, Triggerhappy, Chromedome, all bangers.
the feet were horrendously short, and while there were some good ones like bruticus, predaking defensor, computron and liokaser( not sure how to pronounce the name), there were some awfully terrible ones like menasor, optimus maximus, and maybe superior, not sure, mainly because of the torso not being stable enough for the limbs.
Welp some people prefers something new. I am not saying new combiners are bad, I just want to see new designs. Back in the day I was hyped even for new OP and Megs designs, and now everything is becoming more like the same. For example during the time of cyberverse there was just almost nothing new, basicly just modernized animated style. Earthspark kinda did something new, but I am not going to lie, I dislike this show to much. At least movies doesn't disapoint.
I prefer updated designs as opposed to accurate designs, but good grief Combiner Wars was very faulty. Plus, the plastic wasn’t great, and of course, there was the awful torso mode of Motormaster, who may have had a fine robot mode and an also fine alt mode, but the combined mode is atrocious, and that absolutely RUINS the figure for me, as while I do want the individual modes to be good, I also would want the combined mode to be good as well. While I do dislike how the Legacy version combines, it is definitely much better. Superion on the other hand… I mean, I do like that it has better articulation, and I am sure it is made with better plastic. Though, I don’t like how the skeleton is handled here, but then again, Combiner Wars Superion, while looks very cool (and I actually prefer the look of that figure), has very questionable plastic at best, let’s be real. HOWEVER, Studio Series Devastator is definitely a HUGE winner here. It’s smaller like how it should be, the figures are sold separately, and it is very likely going to have better plastic than the absolutely hollow Combiner Wars Devastator. Heck, pegs on Hook and Long Haul broke on my copy of Combiner Wars Devastator… The Studio Series 86 Devastator is just going to be a much better version, hands down.
The new combiners ARE BETTER. But at the same time, we know they could have found a way to COMBINE WITH JUST THE BOTS. Sometime down the road, they will make updates which will do that. If they made them perfect each time out, we would buy less. For instance SS Bumblebee could've looked like an MP, but THEY NEED US TO KEEP SHOPPING....which I don't mind. I'm definitely looking forward to collecting those I missed out on in CW: Bruticus, Computron, Predaking....already pre-ordered Devastator and Superion.
@@Skackledankle what i'm saying is that upgrade kits themselves can be expensive, if i'm getting an already expensive set of figures i'd rather not blow another 20 to 50 bucks on something to actually make it look good
I’m an older collector who grew up with G1. I’m typically happy with new incarnations of these characters but even I passed on a lot of the Combiner Wars line. They were, in my opinion, inferior toys compared with other lines. I really like what they’re doing now with the Combiners. The proportions, stability, and aesthetics are all better by comparison. And where Hasbro falls short, there are always upgrade kits to enhance the design of the figures. Lastly, there are always 3p masterpieces out there for those who are interested. There’s no need for complaining. There’s so much out there to choose from.
Combiner Wars predecessor Power Core Combiners, moreso, due to the fact that the limbformers were drones that had springs and lazy-tongs engineering... Those baby blue squares of the torsoformers also stuck out.
I give CW credit for what they did, but to me looking G1 is more important, and they failed horribly in that dept. I'll take the frame and stability and G1 look of the new combiners.
I am happy with Combiner War figures. The new ones are not worth the money Hasbro is asking. Actually, most of Hasbro are not worth it. Just buy 3rd parties or Korean, Japanese or Chinese series, or even KOs.
I’m in my 40’s I strongly prefer the new combiners since those are toon accurate. While I don’t hate combiner wars, I can say those didn’t interest me when they released because they weren’t G1. I don’t get the massive hate, if you like CW, you still have that, let us have the toon accurate ones 🤷🏾♂️
People going on about how perfect the CW combiners were are either wearing rose-tinted glasses or forgot the majority of those needed upgrade kits to do anything besides stand in place I think Devastator was one of the better ones but some of the individual Constructicons (Long Haul especially) were... compromised, to put it mildly
Long Haul (the trunks of the six) literally carries the team. Him sharing the hip joints of the other 5 had been a no-no by HasTak RnD because he has to form the midsection, hips, thighs and knees of the gestalt in the CW/UW version. 1980s Diaclone Long Haul was shoved behind the gestalt frame (extra parts), just a recap. I have the less costly Kubianbao (downscaled) version of the combiner set.
I personally welcome the new ones mainly because I don’t have many figures from CW. I mainly have figures from TR and I couldn’t even do a Deceptacon Combiner until POTP. Pretty questionable plastic quality, let’s be real.
There was a reason why most people got Japan’s Unite Warriors toy line, instead of Combiner Wars.

THANK YOU!
Combiner Wars gets points in my book for actually make the limbs from the robots. The Menasor and Superion look more full, but they also "cheat" the combining by making unnecessary, because the central figure is already a complete robot, and just wears the smaller bots as armor.
I am ok with menasor and devastater but a bit iffy on superion
That’s what I’ve been saying
THANK YOU!
Exactly
Yup I feal the same it's more of a big robot wearing the rest of the team as armor, I prefer the actual robot becoming a limb, that being said I don't mind part forming to fill some gaps or wierd joint areas
100%
I really don't mind my Unite warriors Abominus, Computron & Piranacon. Devastator, Superion And above all Menasor needed an upgrade though. Bruticus too.
I saw someone describe it as "Do you want a more accurate toy or a more fun toy?" Sure, the new ones look better, but the skeleton just isn't as fun
@@firstbrick-du2xy Is it fun when the combiner barely stands up?
I have generation selects king Poseidon and Its not fun to handle at all
It's not that the new ones are bard they just fundamentally fail.
I went to buy a transformer and got a non transforming an action master with some missing kibble.
At least menasor could justify it and devistator avoids it but still
Bro's never happy
Devastator was decent, some of his components? Not so much.
It’s kinda not fair to compare the devastator as well because one sacrificed the robot modes of the bots to make the devastation good. And either way the new devastator still looks good, just with a bit less detail.
I think I will have to wait to see if I like the new Devastator’s Deco, but I will still probably get the SDCC release just for the cool box
Bruticus is going to be PEAK!
Cw devastator isn't bad at all between him and predaking they are way better than the rest
I DID NOT like the new Aerealbots' new looks, mostly Silverbolt, and didn't really like the combiner armature for Superion (the existence of it, not the Gestalt's visual).
Why can't it just be up to individual preferences."
Personally, I prefer Combiner Wars because the figures are fully integrated with each other and also interchangeable like the classic scramble teams, whereas when I look at new Legact/AotP versions all I see is a giant robot wearing the rest of its teem as gap fillers.
You still have to insert the limb bots into the torso bot....
I'm still unsatisfied with AOTP Superion, doesn't mean I like CW
Like, here's an example that POSSIBLY able to make the combiner gimmick "actually combine"
Since there's split gimmick on Dead End and Drag Strip, why not make the elbow there to peg with both front and back of Dead End/Dragstrip
Not every limb or torso from cw was equally good. Maybe if the legacy limbs were voyager size they could better fit that intended limb instead of being an armor piece.
I think both combiner sistem look good. It depends on the preference. One is about mix and match the limbs and the other is about accuracy and articulation
Thing is, I can afford combiner wars. I’m not dropping $90 on a single toy, and then I have to spend EVEN more to complete the combiner.😊
Fr. I had the CW g2 bruticus and computron and they were just fun for the time but they had boring transformations and the combiner modes were extremely unproportional and would fall off
The new ones aren't even actual combiners. They're just very big armorizers.
It's a toy supposedly for kids. Kids use their imagination. That's makes toys fun.
@philharrison2991 This statement can also apply to combiner wars as well.
In fact, it's so general that it can apply to.any toy ever.
@returnedtomonkey8886 yeah but combiner wars quality control sucks big balls.
@@philharrison2991 now this is actually a fair point
@@returnedtomonkey8886 Craig the halo monkey! 🐒
I like the newer verson for G1, even some of the third parties look better
Loving the look of the new combiners, I hope we see a Bruticus and Defensor in the same style too
But Combiner Wars/Power of the the Prime was more about the mix and match thing and that's still cool if you want to make your own combiner.
And I honestly can't see us getting a better Abominus or Volcanicus any time soon, I don't think they would even really work in the exoskeleton style.
the thing is not that one is better than the other, it's that I don't have a good-enough reason to replace my CW combiners
Personally I have the combiner wars menasor, and the legacy one: why making a choice when you can have both of them 🤣🤣
@damienvallet6132 well it'd be nice, sure, but there's a fun thing called "money" and I can't waste it all
@TeeArCreep yep i do understand
@@zebruhin2007 oh man the 3rd party stuff is insane, it's everything any of us could want, except the price tag 😅
Bruticus won't be a skeleton, neither will Defensor. They are true combiners unlike Superion and Menasor.
I want Liokaiser for the next haslab
Combiner Wars did Liokaiser dirty
I want liokaiser as a main liner
Leozack and Jallguar (whatever the official spelling is) should retain their Deluxe-/Warrior-class size parallel to their limbformer members.
I think combiner wars combiners were like a mix and match type of toys while these new ones are for accuracy but its cool
I will argue that titans return abominus is good
To be honest, I can see why people aren't too big fans of the skeletal system as it feels less involved, hell when I got Legacy Menasor fully complete I wasn't completely sold on it either.
I'm gonna try to complete one combiner one at a time which is 86 Devastator
I prefer the new combiners but combiner wars had a more updated design with different modes for the components and honestly accuracy isn’t everything. Sometimes you need to try something new
Terrible paint, awful “articulation,” hardly any mold variety, cheap plastic, awful joints…
All slander is deserved.
I disagree with the plastic quality for the most part. I have most of my combiner wars figures from 10 years ago and they’re perfectly fine
i only want bruticus , even better version of the foc bruticus toy.
Studio Series - Gamer Edition FoC Combaticons in the near future
Hell yeah I got the new menasor it's so sturdy! Sold my cw figures of all combiner I has and now buying these newer combiner to my forever keep lol
Im happy for it I can’t wait to combine devastator
Legacy combiners are better than the combiner Wars combiners
BUT Wildrider Still Sucks and completely ruins combiners for me
Welp some people prefers something new.
Bros against g1 and then for it
Combiner wars sucks lol
Heck, pegs on Hook and Long Haul broke on my copy of Combiner Wars Devastator…
The Studio Series 86 Devastator is just going to be a much better version, hands down.
UW devastator > CW devastator
Combiner Wars was bad. The new combiners are dogshit.
Just try to scramble city this new horse shit. Way to go hasblow!😢
Even back then I found CW figures to be pretty grim. It's beyond me that to some these hold up to this day.
The cw figures were/still are hott garbage. The newer version about to release aren't perfect but they are better than the cw ones
I like CW Devastator, thats about it. I kinda like Bruticus but he looks to lengthy. AOTP Bruticus will blow it out of the water though.
YES!!!! I’m tired of ppl complaining about the backwards legs. JUST BUY AN UPGRADE KIT!!!
an upgrade kit? on a combiner team? In this economy?
@TeeArCreep there’s upgrade kits for menasor to put the cars on the front of his legs instead of the back
Hasbro should be able to do something like that, you just have to engineer it right
@@telaviefilms280 they were aiming for cartoon accuracy though
@@Skackledankle what i'm saying is that upgrade kits themselves can be expensive, if i'm getting an already expensive set of figures i'd rather not blow another 20 to 50 bucks on something to actually make it look good
Cw are superiors legacy combiner inferiors
I mean...yeah. Legacy Menasor is much better than CW. For budget reasons I might be keeping my CW Superion. But the new one looks 10x better.
There’s so much out there to choose from.
combiner wars always sucked tbh
Combiner Wars predecessor Power Core Combiners, moreso, due to the fact that the limbformers were drones that had springs and lazy-tongs engineering... Those baby blue squares of the torsoformers also stuck out.
Disagreed.
Age of the Primes superior, Combiner Wars inferior!!!
Now look, I'm all for the new designs we have gotten for Combiners, HOWEVER, I do prefer the nostalgia of the Combiners of CW.
People going on about how perfect the CW combiners were are either wearing rose-tinted glasses or forgot the majority of those needed upgrade kits to do anything besides stand in place
I think Devastator was one of the better ones but some of the individual Constructicons (Long Haul especially) were... compromised, to put it mildly
41 year old here. Totally stoked for these new combiners. 😌🤌🏻 Really hoping we get an animation accurate Omega Supreme and Metroplex at some point.
