Nice, but without the engagement of the 13 y.o. Tölzer boy soprano Frederik H in th-cam.com/video/dfUwIV3QdLk/w-d-xo.html. - N ot to speak about the same 24,y.o. boy a year later...!

Thank you for your comment. You are of course free to judge musical interpretations at your own discretion. Tastes differ. But why do you feel the need to compare a professional singer with a 13-year-old who follows the instructions of his singing teacher? Furthermore, you are comparing two different vocal ranges. In our language, this is called comparing apples with oranges 🙂

@@Kirchenmusik_Immenstadt- I sure expected an "answer" from you. - Yes, we are talking about apples and oranges, but I was not comparing anything like that. - My main interest with new recordings of old music, is that it is performed as much as possible like the composer intended and how he had it performed. Franck did this P&E. for - and performed it himself for - music during Holy Communion - and with boys voices. - Not for general concerts. - Thus the piece with the (remarkably good) boy during a live Holy Communion in the church is a vast more genuine and nearer Franck's work than any lifeless, general concert, sung by anyone non-engaged,. a

@@BoGunnarHansson-re8gv I don't think we'll get anywhere this way. What we do know, however, is that the musical world would be a lot poorer if all music were only performed for its original purpose. In your opinion, Handel's Music for the Royal Fireworks, for example, should only have been performed once in London on April 27, 1749 (end of the War of the Austrian Succession). The same goes for all coronation masses or requiems dedicated to a specific person. We are sure that Franck will forgive us for not letting his music be forgotten.
We are presenting a cross-section of our musical work here - liturgical and concert. That's all. And we welcome all expertise, including yours 🙂
