Another great clip mate .. fun fact many don’t know about coral trout , they are born female , opposite to the barramundi, studies have shown on average they sexually mature as females at about 30cm -2 years old , they then on average change to male at about 35cm -4 years old … so by the time they are legal to keep majority are male .. tight lines mate an keep up the great content !

We all make mistakes, I can't research everything, all the hooks, rods, reels, lines, lures, plastics, fuel, food, etc... But I won't be working with them, now I know they falsely market their gear.
That was a ripper day on the water. The intro was great and the drone footage of the GT's and the hookup gave us another perspective that we never get to see, such good fortune they swam past as you put it up. It was also great to get to see you cook what you caught while the sun was up.

Hi Andy，I am your fans from China. The fish is quite expensive in the fish market it is best to sashimi or steamed with herbs which is often cooked like that in china. Hope you can try in that way next time. Great video.

Nice fishing video. Shame about the sell-out to a fake overprized crap knife.
The knives are made with 18/10 steel used in cutlery and pots. Not an expensive knife steel So it doesn't hold the edge at all. The dimples and black paint is a very obvious fake way to make them look handcrafted. They don't have anything to do with Japan. And the prize is no discount at all. In fact, you can buy the same knife for €10 on Aliexpress.
I do believe they have deceived me and you, with their marketing. I won't advertise them anymore.
Make a descender....easy to do with one of your lip grips or a barbless inverted big jig head. Swim bladder deflation is not really recommended. ODF&W has lots of plans for both.
I had one on the boat for a while, but it was too small for big cod, you need like 5kg

This isn't really croc country, but they live not far away.
Your videos are really neat. It really got me around to the idea of catching my own food, and got me into fishing in my area. My wife and I go every week and eat what we catch. Being in nature and knowing where my food comes from really helps me appreciate it a lot more.

Maybe try a Saltist MQ 14000? Not much bigger than the BG but definitely more capable and not near as heavy as the Finnor LT100, plus im sure Daiwa would send one through if you asked? Honestly though I would recommend a Saragosa 14000 which is slightly bigger and stronger than the new Saltist and truly the perfect inbetween you're looking for, but I dont think daiwa would be too happy about that 😂.

I have never seen someone put so much effort into trying to make a mediocre knife look amazing :D That's the most meat I have seen you leave on a carcass and your not showing how much skin was on the meat on the other side was telling. Pretty knife, made for selling to the layman trying to look like he has a cool knife. Loved the episode otherwise though. Hope you like honesty :)

dude.. put a couple of bait lines out while you lure fish. I catch much more and bigger and more diversity on bait. Lure fishing targets predatory fish and not very well. There is no reason not to do both, you are missing a lot of good fish.
There is a reason why I don’t finish two lines at once, yellow zones you’re only allowed one line per person

Hi Andy. The knife are a waste of time. The marks in the knife are just hammer marks. The steel is very soft. Try hitting a bone and the steel bends.

Hi Andy, I hope you had a wonderful Christmas. I'm not sure you will read this but HUUSK knives have a terrible service designed for clickbait. I built up a much bigger order than intended expecting to be able to review or edit my order at the end but one click later and I had already made a purchase. It said the purchase failed so I went back and did it again making it much smaller this time because I realised it was getting too expensive, this time it was accepted. Later I get a message to say the 1st order was also accepted. They said they couldn't amend my order, so I've spent over $500 in the end which is way too much and have so many knives/covers/knife sharpeners coming which I don't need 🙈🙈🙈 I hope anyone who reads this is careful what they're doing when ordering huusk knives. Andy, just a thing with Barotrauma, my wife is a body piercer, she said to try a 14 gauge canula from a body piercing shop that may be useful instead of a knife into the bladder.. this would have a small pierce instead of a knife cut. Less trauma means better recovery for the fish..
The official way is to use a barbless hook and a weight to slowly lower them back to depth around 50ft or so. It will deflate the swim bladder. Jiggle the rod and out comes the hooks to release the fish
And avoid all infection.
They are used in Canada and called a fish descender .
We have species of rock fish in Canada with low limits that are slow growing and use of the descender helps mortality rates when released.

I’ve tried this many times, sometimes it works other times the hook won’t come out, it’s pretty hit and miss, especially in a lot of current.
