Got Ten-Tec Argosy II at Hamfest year ago. $150 with Power Supply, works like a charm, wish it had 500hz filter. Also got Ten-Tec Triton II at Hamfest this year, $70 with Mic and Power Supply works but scratchy controls need cleaning, got solvent, still getting around to it ; ) Plan to build rack in basement for old radios and try to limit myself, seems I am on a Ten-Tec trend ; )
@@W6JIM it's close to mint condition but it's only 25 watts. It has a very nice adjustable filter. There are a few TH-cam videos with them you'll have to check them out. I don't think they made many of them.
Yep, I had one; it worked but 'meh'. It replaced the utterly horrific Eico 753. It was replaced with the lovely FT-77. All of these were ~$100 price class used. Three radios cover 45 years. Only very recently bought my first brand new modern HF rig, FT-991A.

Great deal on that Argosy II James! Make sure you have lots of room on that rack for your future Ten-Tecs :-)
Excellent. Thank you for sharing. It's always good to find another Ten Tec aficionado. de AC5JS.
Thanks for watching John. More to come.
Nice rig. Heard somebody say "everything is DX in Hawaii", kind of the same here in VK land !!. Thanks for posting and 73's.
Thank You Darrin! Time for me to aim my beam at VK land for some more DX :-)
Fun for sure, Jim!
Hey Stan, I have heard you once or twice on the reverse beacon. I will catch you one of these days!
I hope so, Jim! With my mighty 3 watts! HI HI
Very nice rig. Hope I find one of those for my Ten-Tec collection one of these days =)
Thank you Josh and good luck on your search. I have taken this one portable a few times. Great receiver too!
thank you. you can not beat a good ten tec.
I agree Mike. And even today it is hard to find a rig with silent QSK to match an old Ten-Tec :-)
I got a century 22 as motivation to learn cw still not there yet ha.
Wow, a Century-22! 50 watts, Analog, CW only. 80-10m, No WARC. I have never seen one in person. They look nice 👍 What kind of condition is it in?

Wish I’d never sold my TT525D 😣
I know how you feel. But, not to late to pick up another one!

Mine still works good. I love the old rigs. I hope you like your 991A :-)
