i’ve always viewed him as the main character, i never liked hughie but they did manage to make him likeable this season

They planted the seed for her to take the Compound V. Starlight is in full Captain Marvel mode.
I think all of Ashley's stress, the line "this place turns you into a monster", she's gonna be some sort of Hulk-esque creature.

Calling it: Homelander will use Cate to make Soldierboy be his ‘Father’ and it will blow up in his face.
My theory is that they won't kill Homelander but they will turn him into what he's always hated the most: a simple human being, and that's why Soldier Boy is back.

@@cammprodz4447 Yeah, I've been thinking about it for a long time because he has always expressed that humans are toys, so the worst punishment he can get isn't death but becoming one of the things he's always hated the most.
That's my big hope. Not Homelander dead, but just a powereless, fragile "nobody". And Soldier Boy being around leaves the door open to that.
The thing is that they need to give Butcher some sort of win by the end because he is for sure going to die. I can’t imagine Butcher settling for anything other than Homelander’s death.
@@nikunjdixit3225The whole show was built around Butcher vs Homelander, so in whatever way, I think Butcher's win will be finally eliminating Homelander. But the question is what happens after that. I know we aren't following the comics 1:1 but it's still close to the comics in temrs of the general direction and biggest plot points. So maybe it's still not enough for him, he wants to eradicate all supes and is finally taken out by Hughie as a means to end it all. Although I don't know how this might work with the new cancer powers ;) Maybe more optimistic, Butcher takes himself out in some blaze of glory sacrifice... We'll see...in 2026 the earliest probably ;)

Neuman's death is sad to me, I really enjoyed her as a character, she is truelly scary and I really thought she could be the one to take down Sage next season.

Really liked this season overall! The only things i didn't like were Frenchie and Kimiko's subplots. They were thematically relevant (confronting your past, self forgiveness), but plot-wise, they ended up feeling so random and disconnected from everything else.

This season was not as good as the rest, but it was still pretty damn good.
Why would Homelander wake up Soldier Boy? What's the one thing Homelander needs more than anything? Love. What broke him last season? His father calling him a disappointment. Well, Homelander has now taken over control of the US government. He may think that may impress his father. He wants to show his father that he's not a disappointment. He wants his father to love him. So he may wake up Soldier Boy and try to show off what he's done in order to try to impress him. Homelander makes really bad choices in his quest for love from others, especially his father figures.
…and then sees he’s still drinking breast milk and makes him kill firecracker
Yeah that's what I was thinking too. He doesn't make the best decisions lol... this is the one thing that has been shown that CAN kill me... but I want him to love me... I'm sure it'll be different this time!
@JustinTaylormade I think Annie kills Firecracker, maybe by Firecracker having a heart attack during their fight. She's on the verge of death already so it won't take much to push her into heart failure.
I was told you dont need to watch GenV to understand season 4 but boy ( no pun intended) did it help. Great finale.
I believe Butcher is going to be the REAL final boss of this show. He will be the one who will kill Homelander and the rest of The Boys are going to fight him with his uncontrollable power.

Gen V season 2 will probably take care of her.
Can she though? Most powers don't work on Homelander. Neuman couldn't pop his head and he can't be mind controlled by another supe (that we know of). Soldier Boy is just as strong as Homelander so he may be too powerful to be controlled. I do hope they are able to get Soldier Boy's "depower beam" under control next season. I don't want him constantly exploding like he did in season 3. I'd prefer they get rid of that "power" but if they do keep it, I'd like to see him gain full control of it.
The special effects were perfect. Anytime I have to look away is a compliment.
Although this was the weakest season that final episode was excellent
Apart from the season finale this season felt like a filler season. I can’t wait for season 5.

Here is what I think will Happen
Billy will reconnect with the Becca side as he will see Ryan struggle with what he wants to do.
Starlight will try to find Kimiko and see what has happened with the rest of the team. Will see if she can get help from the inside to see what is happened, such as the Daughter of Neuman.
The boys will probably see the cast of Gen V in the same prison and will break them out to get as much help as needed. And they will explain what really happened in Godolkon
Butcher and Edgar will probably team up and Butcher will sugar coat what happened to Neuman to form a temp alliance. And he will tell the truth to Stan or the truth will be uncovered.
Ryan will see that homelander will become more of a terrorist than a helpful hero. And will try to think about his decision. He may not kill his father, but someone else will land the finishing blow.
Ashley will use the temp v to go against the remaining seven with help from
A Train. Will probably ask for Meaves help as she knows more of thier limits than herself and A Train.
Soldier boy will re awaken and be under the control of homelander and will want to get approval from his dad even if he doesn’t like him. Will try to brainwash him to get him on his side
Starlight will come back WAY stronger 🤩💪🏽🌟

Loved this season! Finale was freaking awesome!! The Frenchie stuff was a bit too slow as a plot line, but not bad. Can't wait for Season 5!!!

Having a number of planned seasons is 100% the way to go. Spartacus is one of my fav examples, Andor has a similar plan, among others. If you know how long you need to tell your story you’ve planned well.
He feels he has nobody, and he saw Sage stick by him even though he threw her away, which gives him hope he can get that love specifically from family. Look at the scene last season when he asked Black Noir if he knew.
Homelander can run the country from behind the scene but I think he's too egotistical to stay behind the scene. He wants everyone to love and worship him. He's probably going to screw things up by trying to really take over.
Also, Sage really seems to like how Homelander compares himself to Caesar. But Caesar was assassinated, Homelander might ignore that detail but not Sage. I think maybe Sage is setting Homelander to be Julius Caesar and Ryan will be Augustus, the one who actually becomes the emperor.
And we've seen Ashley be human before. She deleted the security video showing Maeve was alive.

Solid season, very good finale but overall it was a step down from season 3. Which is okay as long as it is still good.

Yeah, that was bad. I thought Annie was venting more than anything. Poor Hughie handled the situation perfectly. She came around within a few hours, so I'm not going to fault her too hard.
Yeah I saw a few people defending her actions and I was like ???. I hate that trope of a significant other being replaced by a clone or a perfect shape shifter and they get mad like "HOW COULD YOU NOT TELL!??!" While I was glad that she didn't stay mad long and I can understand why she was upset (she did get kidnapped too) but Hughie has been through the worst this season by a MILE!

I still don’t understand sage’s plan, it’s either she has the power to see the future or the shows writing has gotten really lazy
? She just set the pieces in the right places that way when something happens that’s unexpected she can easily pivot.
@@TP-du2tc what pieces did she set? We only see her in one scene and I didn’t see any indication that she had anything to do with the plot points the had to happen the way they did in order for her plan to work
@@mswizzy10that's just a dumb take,she knew a train was the leak and he misinformed the boys,it was even said in the show,she knew homelander would fire her off,so she had en extra plan for it (there was a book with maeve on it, mostly the whole plan was there,or it's "phase 2" of her plan)she had one her agents to blend in with the boys and watch singer there.
She is the smartest person on earth,you would expect that person would consider every situation possible.
Just cuz you can't follow up with the show or can't accept that she is that smart, it's your problem rly.

They really should of made it more clear the shapeshifter was dead cause the amount of people that think numan is the shapeshifter is driving me insane

They had to dial it back a bit this season, because the final season is going to be epic and they want to top everything they have done which is gonna be tough to do. Its gonna be an epic finale for sure.

Just finished the finale. Idk if it's just me but this season (while good) felt like it had a consistent feeling of being to close to reality. Watching this season gave me a consistent feeling of unease or uncomfortableness.

Ill be straight up the only character who has a cohesive and compelling arc is A Train. Everyone is so scattered this Season.... Butcher is barley part of the Boys anymore, Hugie is just kinda there dealing with messed up shit just for it to be glossed over every the continuing episodes, Annie just feels like she is just there, Kimiko and Frenchie are both pointless this season spending majority of the time seprate dealing with thier issues that we have seen before and when they almost have no chemistry, The Deep was pretty solid the first few episodes and now hes a joke again along with Black Noir replacment just felt like he was there for comic relief. Sage and Firecracker are both insufferable and actually dint contribute anything and are a waste of screentime. They cant decided what to do with Ashley so she is just this scared chick who gets off on BDSM, Homelander and Ryan have a good dynamic bit again they make Ryan constantly go back and fourth with Homelander and Butcher, Finally MM deserves to leave this damn mess brotha needs to be with his fam. The show slowly had some shocking gross moments in season 3 then went full euphoria in Gen V and now every episode. They have so much sexual situations or violence towards men and its played for laughs and constantly just becomes distasteful. I will say nothing has topped the Plane scene in season 1. Like its so well written and acted and somthing that gives me chills everytime i see it. Now its like how much distasteful shock value can we show on screen

I just like to add I know a lot of people confusing fascism with authoritarianism and dictatorship in order for it to be a fascist there has to be some sort of racial or culture in their ideology like a certain cultural race is bad and we are superior

The cgi tentacles looked horrible and Newman's death was dumb. She couldnt be hurt by bullets OR homelander, but TENTACLES could rip her in half??? makes no sense!
Homelander was pulling his burn to not kiII her. You can't be kiIIed by cat claws, but a colossal squid could tear you apart.
Homelander's intention wasn't to kill Neuman, the plan (as far as he knew at least) was for her to become President once they killed the current one. We've seen that Homelander can vary the intensity of his laser vision low enough to warm coffee or low enough to just burn Stormfront's chest when the less powerful Ryan's laser vision burned the crap out of her. We've also seen supes who are bullet proof get hurt by other supes physically. Butcher's parasite was able to rip Neuman in half because it's clearly supposed to be strong as hell.
It's like they watch a completely different show... smh like yea it was ok but nothing like the previous seasons

I really didn't like that they had Ryan kill Mallory, felt super plot driven and not character based...like Ryan needed to be a little more angry and lose himself or Mallory needed to be a little more aggressive in the scene but it just didn't work for me

It probably is the weakest season so far, but that doesn't make it bad. It was just good or mediocre. Amazing or trash are not the only two options. Just because something isn't absolutely great and mind-blowing, doesn't mean it's automatically bad. There's a whole spectrum of quality, people.
It had some great moments but most of the season was uninteresting fluff that was just there to fill an entire season while setting up for season 5

I liked S4 overall, but their commentary to current political politics was too on the nose and it took me out of it.
