Another one that I've been looking forward to the two of you getting to. 😊 RIP always to Chadwick Boseman!!! 💜 I love this movie so much! Well, about the waterfalls: it is a mixture of CGI with real footage from a place of my country, Brazil, called Cataratas do Iguaçu (something like Iguaçu Falls or Iguaçu Waterfalls in english). They used real footage of those waterfalls for the movie. In Infinity War they also used a real brazilian location for the planet Vormir, where Thanos get the soul stone, the Lençóis Maranhenses (or Maranhão Sheets), a desert-like formation that accumulates rain water and it's an unique landscape of basically a desert with a bunch of lakes in the middle.
Chadwick Boseman was in that Captain America movie for only a few minutes, and yet from that moment on, whenever I read a comic book with Black Panther in it, I heard Boseman's voice in my head. I think that is a measure of how powerful his performance was.
Y'all are here to find out why Okoye is my favorite female hero in the MCU. That girl reeks of power and has zero super powers, just pure badass and vibranium. Massive props to Danai Gurira, who does such a wonderful job playing these women who are insanely strong characters with a lot of range. Loved her as Michonne in the walking dead, even though I couldn't watch any more of that show after like 5 or 6 seasons.
As an old comic book dork, it fills my heart with joy that normal non-comic book people even know who Okoye is. And yes, she is amazing. All of the Dora Milaje are. I love this interpretation of her character. Proper Marvel heroes have flaws. Okoye is so dedicated to tradition that she was willing to plunge the world into war to protect it even though T'Challa is like a brother to her.

@tatianagettelman1913 Perhaps, although the odds of slave descent there is quite small. I wish they'd have expanded the notion of an ethical divide among Wakandans, maybe going back centuries.
If you wanna know how different (“good” different) this movie is, ask someone who the villain is: T’Chaka & Zuri? Klaue? N’Jobu? N’Jadaka (Killmonger)? T’Challa? M’Baku & the Jabari? W’Kabi & the Border Tribe? Maybe each one of them are at some point in the movie. 22:26 My own guess apart from what Ross said later about it being part of his training when he was a black operative for the CIA is that it's because he's frightened of the thought of losing his title of king to anyone, he's frightened of death and of the idea being replaced and he's frightened at the thought of being a father because of his ongoing trauma with his own fathers death. And in the way we do sometimes when we're frightened he's trying to get rid of what to him symbolises his fear, by burning the herbs. Also it's a good way to call back to what's supposed to be an African proverb though no one seems to know where in the continent of Africa it's supposed to come from: "A child who is not accepted by its village will burn it down just to feel its warmth."
Yes, Klaue is Andy Serkis, who also played Smeagle in LOTR. She nailed that. He's also in the Star Wars universe as multiple characters, Alfred in the new Batman movies, and played Ceasar in the newer Planet of the Apes movies. Awesome actor and very versatile. Andy Serkis plays Ulysses Klaue in Black Panther. But he also played Gollum in the LOTR trilogies, and the monkey Caesar in the Planet of the Apes trilogies. Such an award winning, multitalented actor.

I had to laugh when you called a real animal by it’s Pokémon name. I second guessed myself at first when you called it rhyhorn when it’s called a rhino or rhinoceros.
First of all I would like to start by saying RIP Chadwick Boseman🙏🙏😔. I really enjoyed watching “Black Panther 1” with you guys as it’s my third time watching this movie and it’s one my favorite MCU movies🔥. I loved the way Wakanda was shown with the colors of the clothes, the buildings and the overall culture. I adored Michael B Jordan as the antagonist “Erik Killmonger” as he’s my favorite villain in the MCU as his story is so real and raw for him to become bad👍. Both T’Challa aka ‘Black Panther’ and Killmonger’s costumes were clean and amazing. The MCU journey continues😁. Loved your reaction, take care and have a good one♥️
Kilmomger was definitely the coolest villain I can remember from the marvel movies, he had a motive and wish they explored it more bc it was just a black and white line it was grey and blurry
It wasn’t the weapon. When he took the grenade that blast made him absorb the kinetic energy and then when kilmonger shot him continuously and the hit him with a (don’t know what that canon thing is called at the bottom of his gun) his suit was overcharged and caused it to explode on himself. He has to constantly release the energy or that happens. In the comics his shit get destroyed but he survives.
17:32 I mean both Bilbo and Bucky made massive sacrifices in the service of wakandans that led to them being healed by wakandan tech…so maybe shuri just do your job..? Not hard to not refer to the guy who took a bullet for your friend as “another broken white boy”
The synchronized scream of BUCKYYY! was worth the price of admission. Shiuri had a line earlier that was foreshadowing it: "Oh, great, another broken white boy for us to fix."
I really love your MCU reaction so far! So happy y’all reacted to this movie and can’t wait to see more MCU reactions. Such a great character and Chadwick did such an amazing job, RIP. Regarding lip plate thing. In Ethiopia where I am from it’s a tradition from the Mursi tribe. Women use it as a symbol of beauty and identity (marriage, etc.)
The entire movie is meticulously designed with the Wakandan world stripped of all colonial symbols, and the American world centered around scars of colonialism and slavery. The scenes in the parking lot playing basketball were actually filmed in Atlanta, across the street from the Martin Luther King National Historic District. The church in the background while they're discussing the Wakandan outreach center is actually Ebenezer Baptist Church, where MLK preached for years. Everyone involved in this movie went in with heart and soul to tell the story completely. It's just beautiful.
This was one of the greatest movies I had ever seen. Not just because of the acting, not just for the action and the story - but for the ART. I could watch this with no sound and just take in the scenery! Unreal. EVERYONE in this movie was born for these roles.
Yes there were some inconsistencies with how vibranium was portrayed absorbing (or failing to absorb) kinetic energy. However this issue wasn't unique to Black Panther, the same thing occasionally happened with scenes of Captain America's shield in the Avengers and his solo movies. When Killmonger encountered T'Challa in the alley after breaking Klaue out of CIA custody, that RPG shouldn't have sent T'Challa flying backwards, that energy should have been absorbed. We just seen him cover a grenade a few moments earlier and he wasn't propelled up into the ceiling, his suit just absorbed that explosion. I suppose they could have been trying to show that T'Challa's suit was temporarily unable to absorb more energy (vibranium does have a limit) but that would a ridiculously low threshold and inconsistent with what we saw before and after. Really it's just a case of the scene calling for Killmonger to escape, so the directors/writers momentarily ignored how the suit should have worked. Just like therer were scenes in Civil War and Winter Soldier where rocket attacks sent Cap flying and/or separated him from his shield. And technically it wouldn't richochet off other surfaces when Cap throws it, if the shield was absorbing kinetic energy.
There is an Interesting Through-line between This Movie and Black Panther’s Arc in Civil War! And we see this Story Theme evolve in Black Panther 2, which I know these two will watch when the time comes! Cause it’s very cool how it’s handled and I love that fact about these films!
I like how they slid n the history of the actual black.panthwrs of the 1970's n there..their 1st priority was setting up outreach centers for the youth & that's what T'Challa did when he went to Oakland which is also the birth place of the black.panther party..#respect
Not to be ‘that guy’ being like “ WeLL ACtuAllY “ but Okoya’s husband chose kilmonger so quickly because kilmonger killed Clawd and T’Challa didn’t. Love your vids 🙏🏼
When this movie first came out, a lot of folks noticed that the only two white people on the poster were Smeagol and Frodo, and someone pointed out that they're the Tolkien white guys.

Legend RIP love you chadwick
If anything, I think Chadwick Boseman was made for Black Panther, not the other way around, but point made.
"Rhyhorns"
Bro, that's a pokemon.
Rest in Peace, Chadwick aka Black Panther.
Infinity War next?! YESSSSS!
LOVE THIS MOVIE!! ❤ RIP CHAD BOSEMAN! I’ve seen him in act in many other movies too. Still a huge fan!
3:16 Plz clarify what's on your bucket list? PLEASE tell me you didn't edit out saying that you're going to Wakanda.
Fun fact: The actor that play Ulysses Klaue is the same actor that motion captures for Gollum in LOTR trilogy.
Andy Serkis
This was one of the greatest movies I had ever seen. Not just because of the acting, not just for the action and the story - but for the ART. I could watch this with no sound and just take in the scenery! Unreal. EVERYONE in this movie was born for these roles.
“ you got to see rihorns at uh animal kingdom “ had me absolutely dying 😂😂 I love your reactions so much.
I'm love the reactions of you two :). Keep it up guys!
Just pay attention to how different every character is in Black Panther Wakanda Forever. You can truly see how much everyone misses him.
Wakanda forever! you guys..
Yo i freaking love that thumbnail!!
There is an Interesting Through-line between This Movie and Black Panther’s Arc in Civil War!
And we see this Story Theme evolve in Black Panther 2, which I know these two will watch when the time comes! Cause it’s very cool how it’s handled and I love that fact about these films!
R.I.P. chadwick..
The museum they showed in the beginning is actually The High Museum here in Atlanta
I like how they slid n the history of the actual black.panthwrs of the 1970's n there..their 1st priority was setting up outreach centers for the youth & that's what T'Challa did when he went to Oakland which is also the birth place of the black.panther party..#respect
No running from the challenge, guarded by both sides
Of the tribes
Hope you two are having an great and awesome day ❤
Please do infinity war and endgame in 2 parts, both movies have really good scenes and are very big to the story line, I really love your videos too 😁
Not to be ‘that guy’ being like “ WeLL ACtuAllY “ but Okoya’s husband chose kilmonger so quickly because kilmonger killed Clawd and T’Challa didn’t. Love your vids 🙏🏼
Girl with the spear also played in the walking dead
Michonne played by Danai Gurira
Bro this is probably my favorite reaction channel
When this movie first came out, a lot of folks noticed that the only two white people on the poster were Smeagol and Frodo, and someone pointed out that they're the Tolkien white guys.
Bilbo. Not Frodo.
"Delete that footage" such a sibling moment
Just a phenomenal movie on every level. Top tier MCU, easily top 5. Great acting at the top of the cast with Chadwick and Michael B. Jordan, but also by all the supporting cast and especially the women.
"what are those" was about 2 years out of date by the time this movie went public
5 tribes 5 Royal families. These are the only ones able to challenge for the throne and powers of the Black Panther
Infinity War gonna be LIT. Been waiting for this one from yall. Can't wait to see your reaction. Enjoy and savor it :)
avengers infinity war and endgame sums up all the mcu was in the beginning phases. but there is also captain marvel to watch i think after infinity war.
I love y’all and yourMCU reaction the next 2 avengers movies will make you cry and happy at the same time the best
