About the camera... The default ones are kinda bad but I feel that getting it closer and lower to the board level with higher vertical follow helps a lot with the feeling and being able to see your tricks when going down gaps and stuff

I’ve always wanted a skate game that has realistic (1) clothing & wind physics, (2) rain cycles that affect the player, (3) and landing impact physics based on the size of the obstacle.
I feel like there aren’t any games that do this very well (or at all). The developers all seem to focus on the skateboard flip mechanics.
Skate 3 had impact on hardcore mode

I always play with my gravity a lot higher, feels more satisfying to do tricks with slower flip/scoop speed with higher gravity (I watched this in 360p the first time lol)

I am experimenting with turning and banking rate to be the lowest setting and using just the truck tightness for street skating, as the Turning and Banking rate is applied on top of truck tightness.
FDR, Peitruss Bowl, SF Pools etc I'm turning it up so that if I don't air out of the bowl I can carve before the coping instead of being stuck horizonal for an extended period of time.
TLDR Bowl Skating = Max Turning Banking Rate
Street Skating = No Turning or Banking Rate applied
The default gravity in session is true to life, the devs confirmed that (right in the middle). Imo if you want to make it more realistic keep gravity in middle and just lower pop height. The default pop height is a lot higher than the average ollie height of most people.
Your character's pants look extremely goofy... but your skating style and physics settings are so gorgeous! Enjoyed the video

i play with gravity all the way up and if i’m feeling like letting loose i’ll maaaaaybe turn it down 3 notches…. lol i just mess with the pop height as needed. i just find it to be smoother and more realistic
I'm four clicks off max with enough high pop height to get a flat 360 flip
My pop hieght is Beatles over half way and my gravity is high. No reason to play any other way tbh

I’m just here for fun because I love just chilling and video editing. Any tips would be awesome!
I like the way the bigspins look on skater xl better…. I really hope session fixes that along with the no style in the tricks really almost like animated

I turn them on and off depending how I feel, I think I had them on for this video but can’t remember!
You should try getting clips in vanilla session
The only mods here are cosmetic (clothing and map) the gameplay is 100% vanilla!

Session is an absolute tool.
I have now spent (apparently) 250hrs playing & it's nothing short of lifesaving.
Might sound dramatic but the opportunity it gives for raw creativity from the comfort of my couch.
Instead of getting addicted to Rocket league & losing hours upon hours in what ends up being mental stress.
I can roll my virtual wheels
& record clips on the reels
I've Just uploaded my very first video project.. If anyone who likes session would like to watch a weird 4 minute low-edit I would certainly boost a guys self esteem.😂🎄

You need the Session Mod Manager installed and then you can get gear through the Illusory Discord or various others!

Wow, what map is this? I'm playing Session on PS. I've never seen moving cars in Session so far. Is this some custom mod thing?
This is DTLA by ThatDamnVato. It's a modded map only on PC and the moving cars a super neat touch!
I use max gravity and 8-10 pop height personally

What board trucks grip risers and all board thing do you use
Griptape is modded Thrasher grip, deck is usually always one of the Heroin Egg decks, rails are the bone shaped ones, the trucks are the default ones (cause they look like indy’s) but in the bigger size to match the deck width and the wheels are Spitfire Wheels (possibly modded?) but I usually skate wheels around 55mm up
to 60mm!

i need help, when using manual catch i just cant flip into grinds or slides because the board cant finish the flip
Either increase your flip speed or increase the pop height to give the board more time to flip!

It’s manual catch. You have to catch it over the rail or ledge. AFTER catching it then go into whatever grind you want. If you don’t catch FIRST you won’t go into the grind.

Let go of the flick stick once you’ve flicked! If you hold it then you’ll automatically catch your board!

But I only play this game when filming, never cruise around.

I have both skater xl and sessions, skater xl is pretty trash. Sessions looks souns and feels amazing. But incan not get over then turning with the bumpers its just dumb and feels so akward

Not sure how to help you bro, skating goofy in this game is a hassle. I skate goofy in real life myself but forced myself to learn to play this regular because the game is really only made to play regular at the minute unfortunately!
