The double standards are ridiculous. The other day, I saw a book called "What do men think about other than sex?" Imagine if a man wrote a book called "What do women think about other than handbags?" There'd be outrage. Yet, somehow, the one about men is fine.
They're talking about the double standards of the show not in general. Here's one for you - confident men are strong minded but confident women are gobby or over opinionated. Double standards in general tend to cut against woman. But Loose Woman is a bag of horseshit
I hate Loose Women with a burning passion. I definitely think that women’s equal rights has a way to go, but at the same time I 100% agree that the show paints men in a bad light and is unfair to them. They talk about men’s parenting rights and men’s appearances in such negative ways that it is setting back all of the strides that women are trying to make.
So the only reason you are against this is because of the effect is has on women's rights, not because of the negative portrayal of men? God forbid you could be against it just for that, eh?
I always remember when I saw it once they was saying women cheat because there’s some underlying issue and they’re crying out for help and men do it because they’re following their nobs.
I mean I think all we need to do is imagine a panel of men talking about men issues and making jokes about women. It would be off the air faster than Alex Jones. Get it off!
Thanks for watching the enlarged prostate guys. I remember a few years ago after I'm a celeb the loose women said it was nice to see some of the guys showering, and it made there evening. But if it was men saying that about the women it's wrong
Some of the loose women hold terribly close minded, gammony views, everything’s up for debate to them, including marginalised or discriminated groups of society it’s gross

YES JACK. I HATE Loose Women for this shit! I caught part of a show once where the reactions were so hypocritical you couldn’t make it up! 100% agree, really never liked the show. Saw them do a show on men's mental health that just seemed really patronising and I'm a woman. But sexualising anyone openly is so gross
The problem isn't 4 women having a show, nor having a show targeted towards women - it's the fact they talk utter bollocks. Half the panel are tories and the others are so drippy that they never challenge their bs
"Would you sleep with a naked friend" and "would you sleep naked with a friend" are surely 2 sides of the same coin, I think that's how asking for sexual consent should work from now on. Like a sort of sex wedding where the priest asks both partners and they reply with a teary eyed "I will :')"
It’s the exact same with Strictly Come Dancing - like the way Bruno and Craig comment on the male dancers bodies or when they do a sensual dance. Like if they were straight men doing the same to the female dancers, it wouldn’t be accepted whatsoever. Even though the female judges are sometimes complementary too, they don’t over do it- making the dancers uncomfortable
I think our generation genuinely needs this to be a thing. I really feel overly loose women should get cancelled, it's really deluding the young girls to think that's normal and soon enough they start getting their happiness from being loose.
Honestly shutup. It's not up to you how girls view themselves nor what they should be doing. You're a bloke. You should have NO SAY whatsoever in this. The fact that men in the comments want to control what women say is the entirety of the problem. Keep your misogyny to yourself.revolting man.
no young girls watch loose women. if ‘loose’ is a joke about women expressing their sexuality unashamedly that’s kind of gross and you’ve clearly missed the entire point.
@@butterflymoon6368 I fully agree, it’s bs that because oh it hurt your feeling and you don’t like it when women talk about men on the telly, yet women get comments like this on a daily basis via catcalling and harassment it ridiculous that they can call these women out for it
I clicked the like button as soon as the video loaded because I couldn't agree with the title any more. I've been saying this for years. It's a sexist, horrible and double standard show which shouldn't exist (loose women, not HHP hahaha!)
I think this video really oversimplifies and exaggerates the context of conversations on Loose Women. Talking about "men's bulges" is definitely not a common occurance on the show. In fact, they talk a lot about mental health issues, parenthood, womens health issues specifically, such as menopause, and a lot of other interesting topics. Im not saying that the show couldn't use some modernising. But considering how male-dominated both panel talk shows and podcasts are, like this format, is it so terrible to have 1 female panel show? In fact, the show does often have male guests on and even male-only panels. Instead of trying to dismantle a show that encourages discussion and conversation, why cant we simply have a male equivalent? Actually, if we consider TH-cam we probably do have a 10x the male equivalent. So, whats the problem?
@@jamiew5227 I definitely agree that the ratio has improved. For instance, City University reported that men outnumber women by a ratio of four to one on UK radio and TV news bulletins in 2014. We've made huge strides since then and agree it's gotten better. However, if you consider comedy-based panel shows (Mock the Week, A League of their Own, QI) there's plenty of male representation. If you consider talk show hosts (Jonathan Ross, James Corden, Alan Carr, Piers Morgan) again lots of male representation. Other panel-eske shows (Saturday Kitchen Live, Sunday Brunch, The Chase) the same. There are also some great female-led shows (Steph's Packed Lunch, Loose Women, Rip-Off Britain - does that count?). But given the evidence it's difficult to argue its equal. Then we can look at podcasts. Actually, a study conducted by Quartz found only 33% of podcast hosts are women. I'm not saying that every format has to have exactly equal percent representation. I'm simply highlighting that 3 grown men trying to cancel or shame one of the few female-led panel shows in the UK is dissapointing.
They touch on points and subjects that they should avoid as most of panel is clearly unstable. But what makes it worse is, they then have a phone in to bolster their uneducared opinions. Mental
I always got the impression that the presenters know how stupid it all is but they also know the majority of their viewers are also stupid and stupid people are easier to entertain than 'thinkers' so they go along with it for money.

I think you haven’t seen much of it recently to have an opinion. During lockdown I’ve watched a couple of episodes it can be interesting. It’s like anything it has its audience but it’s not as you described it. It’s a lot better than it was back in the day. I’m a man and sometimes enjoy the show.
No matter how bad or controversial the topic is they always go so over the top with … One of them agreeing with it and one disagreeing .. It’s actually makes me cringe anytime it’s on..
Loose women is horrific and I’m a female. Replace it with a non sexist show. Some of the discussions make me cringe! They are also sexist towards females too, if they don’t agree with it 😂
I completely agree. They do help some women in one small part of their life but it is not worth taking tv time up for it. They also talk about and do the most ridiculous surveys, like who cares if you played the pregnancy card or what your word for toilet is. We have enough reality tv shows that are a waste of time and this one is going on the list.

@@johnennis4586 There was a rape case where a woman raped a man and they spent the whole segment questioning how it could even happen and then ended the segment sniggering about it. It was a few years ago so can't remember specifics.
@@ticketyboo2456 Lol - gonna say that every time a woman complains about sexism. Oh lighten up darling :)
Well put
It should have gone 10 years ago
So the only reason you are against this is because of the effect is has on women's rights, not because of the negative portrayal of men? God forbid you could be against it just for that, eh?
I always remember when I saw it once they was saying women cheat because there’s some underlying issue and they’re crying out for help and men do it because they’re following their nobs.

the double standards in todays society, whether it be women v men or politics is pathetic..

Tune in tomorrow or be a puff.
I think it would be really worth getting one of the Loose Women presenters on the show. Not to ridicule, or set them up, but to just ask them what they do the show for. How do they see the impact of what they're doing. I hate the show, but I think a conversation with you guys and someone involved could be really constructive.
Never forget when they had ago at Kim Woodburn for being a bully and they bullied her on live tv like ganged up on her was extremely uncomfortable to watch and it wasn’t too surprising on how much they love the Nolan sisters they forced Kim and Colleen to bicker on live tv 😂. I agree on this one show is incredibly outdated💯
Playground shit ain’t it?!
@@HappyHourPodcast Indeed! All silly really. The Kim Woodburn situation sticks with me though because it was so uncomfortable to watch was quite mean really!. Loved all your points in this video so true!!😂😂🙌🏽
I’m glad someone made this, I’ve had this debate with my mum so many times and she looks at me like I’m crazy. Only logic, sexism at its highest
Just so ya know, a news tab on my phone said loose women is cancelled, buzzing
That Janet Street-Porter is one of the most bitter, prejudist and obnoxious people on TV. Her unwarranted hatred for men is just sad. Denise Welsh, mutton dressed as lamb, the most evil smile you will see. Stacey Solomon, lovely, but as simple as they come.
YES JACK. I HATE Loose Women for this shit! I caught part of a show once where the reactions were so hypocritical you couldn’t make it up! The first story was “oh wow doesn’t Liz Hurley look fabulous in this bikini at 50 and shouldn’t everyone stop commenting on her body” and then the next story was: “look at this 20 year old celeb, doesn’t she look awful in that dress.” And it’s like WTF. They’re all ridiculous.
I think Loose Women is vile. I am a woman. I also have a son. And yes there are double standards everywhere. Especially in retail. Right from the off in kids clothes. A tiny percentage of clothes, books etc are for boys.
As a woman, I couldn't agree more. Double Standards. They talk absolute drivel. Get it off. Had its day.

Yessss jaackkkk maaateeeee you're totally right if there was a men's show the women of the world would go mad
I can't abide that sodding show. Never could. It's a horrific example of modern "feminism" and the double standard's some women hold.
Don't speak about anyone like they're a piece of meat, and overly sexualise them. Especially without their consent!
If they had a segment of 'Is it okay to fancy Charmeleon' I'd feel very differently about the show
Been saying this for years. All you have to do is change the title to 'Loose Men' and ask would that get aired?
Very fair points on the double standards of judging men. Leads to body dysmorphia in some cases
Jack is 100% right i never of this If Piers said somone famous has put a little wieght on he would get slated for it but if Loose Woman said it no1 would say a word
Been screaming this to the rooftop for a long time !
If woman can judge men, then men can judge woman. It’s simple as that. You cannot have it one way especially in the age of Equality.
@@ticketyboo2456 Yeah but not on public television. Men don’t discuss women’s private parts like loose women do. Fancy having a programme where women objectify men’s private parts on a lunchtime show let’s imagine that the other way around and the nation would loose it.
Loose Women is another example of Older women in a workplace that can say whatever they please without getting in trouble for it, double standards at it’s finest

100% agree, really never liked the show. Saw them do a show on men's mental health that just seemed really patronising and I'm a woman. But sexualising anyone openly is so gross
Denise Welsh discussing marriage is the biggest joke on loose woman.
The double standards are unreal. If the roles were reversed there would be uproar
Even though the female judges are sometimes complementary too, they don’t over do it- making the dancers uncomfortable

lol as an American, can we add The View to this list too?
The reason it works is because it’s aimed at those women who are stuck in the 60’s. It’s literally on at a time only housewives are free
Linda Robson said something about men not suffering like women do mentally something along those lines
if there was a show with old men talking about younger girls, then it would get banned instantly

Jack's first red pill moment
Loose Women is a panel show of Karens, for Karens...
So many languages to choose from, and Jack chose FACTS
THANK FUCK SOMEONE HAS SAID IT!!! Been saying this for years!
So, whats the problem?
talk shows in the uk aren't really male dominated anymore. all major talk shows have just as many women as men
@@jamiew5227 I definitely agree that the ratio has improved.
The bleep was definitely leukemia 😂
Please don’t cancel loose women!! I would miss kerry Katona telling us the best way to raise our children! 😞
I 100% agree with this. The sexism that is on that show is unbelievable.
I’ve not heard someone say ‘dross’ in such a long time 😂 In all seriousness the show is just awful and it’s sad that some people really listen to what they say. It keeps people stupid

I think you haven’t seen much of it recently to have an opinion. During lockdown I’ve watched a couple of episodes it can be interesting. It’s like anything it has its audience but it’s not as you described it. It’s a lot better than it was back in the day. I’m a man and sometimes enjoy the show.
Thank you for saying this, especially as a man. It’s not like that anymore, they discuss real issues and usually real issues that women face today.
