Kate's recollection of seeing Johnny with her son was so sweet and you could tell it really touched Johnny that her son still has the guitar pick. I loved how she was no nonsense with Amber's lawyer but was completely amicable with Johnny's lawyer. It's evident that she isn't in awe of him for his celebrity, she respects him. It isn't about like or dislike to her, it's about respect and that respect is earned. His witnesses aren't there because he is Johnny Depp, they are there because he is Johnny. It's lovely to see how much people love him.

According to her testimony Amber was demeaning, verbally abusive in addition to undercompensating her for a job she probably did well. If I felt trapped in a job due to financial straights/scheduling for childcare and had to deal with Amber's abuses I wouldn't be farting flowers with a smile on my face either. I think her testimony said a lot about what type of employer Amber is, and we got a wider glimpse at her character and her treatment of those Amber feels are below her. imo, her tone with Amber's lawyer was perfect. He sounds like a dingus.
I learned from these testimonies that JD is a kind soft spoken generous man and Amber is an evil manipulative woman. My heart goes out to JD. I really feel for the guy.

Just going to say I wish Ms. James was a BFF of mine. She was all no nonsense and she finally called out Amber's lawyer for trying to put words in people's mouths and twist their words. She did well but that’s the point of cross exam. Lawyers ask leading questions during cross and it’s common practice. Johnny’s lawyers lead too when it’s their turn

When the psychologist said “she would rather fight with him then not have him around at all” the case should be closed right there! Very clear that she yet again would rather be in a legal battle with him then not have him at all. She looks like a bad child sitting there proud that he has to sit through this with her.
But the psychologist said that Johnny hit her too & it was mutually abusive and she saw the bruises personally, so Amber didn’t lie.. Case is over right there. She will win. Johnny’s lawyers did not do a good job of cross examining her. And I’m on Johnny’s side

I thought she has been extremely fair and unbiased. I have read numerous comments that claim she is on Heard's side because she has overruled many of the plaintiff's objections, but she had also sustained quite a few as well.

As a woman and a DV survivor in my first relationship of 7 years, when I left I wanted zero to do with my partner. I just wanted to be rid of him. I recently broke off yet another relationship with someone a lot like Amber, more narcissistic then physically abusive, but it was starting to lean in that direction I started seeing the signs and because I had been in a relationship previously I was able to leave after only 4 years, but when I did leave I didn’t ask for anything. I didn’t even ask for child support. I left all our belongings and told him he could have them. To this day both of them have tried has to get back with me and mend our relationship but I refuse, not because I’m proud, but because i am very scared of what they might do to me or my children. I also do not even open that door because the minute I do something they don’t like I feel like they would make my life miserable. She wasn’t a victim, if she was trust me when I say. She would be scared of what he would do to her if she did something even close to this. I have been stalked and followed almost run off the road, I have been threatened. I have had stuff thrown at me while in my vehicle from his vehicle. My vehicle has been busted up, broken, hit. He has shown up to my house and tried to come after me. My last ear fiancé sat outside my house and if anyone came over he would speed in the driveway & accuse me of infidelity. They have held me down locked me in my home, Locke me out of my home, wrecked my home, thrown my stuff and my kids stuff outside. Mind you this is all cause I left. This isn’t even a little bit of what I have had to deal with after leaving. Trust me. She wouldn’t be this brave. I’m prideful to, but if you know a narcissist, they mend your mind and twist you up. It’s truly sad and scary. She is the perpetrator!!!!

I really admire Kate, nothing rattles her and the word "stoic" comes to mind. I love that she pulls the lawyer up all the time and rightly so, he keeps asking the same questions over and over and tries leading her. She won't have it, she is brilliant. As for Amber sitting there trying to look mature and demure, it doesn't work for her, she is just as bad at that, as she is at acting.

I was going to stay impartial as I try when watching any cases. I've never seen a Depp movie but one when he played a writer. As a nurse working trauma for a few decades, it really isn't looking like she wasn't often the one who kicked things off bc she wasn't mature enough to know that she's not his mother or control center in his brain. What it looks like to me now, is that she created an unbearable situation for him to live in (and frankly, for anyone would be), which he tried to escape from with addictions. And now she is using these addictions against him. What a noble person she is.
It's very clear that they had a toxic relationship and both parties made mistakes. But for her to portray herself as this victim and make him look like this monster is so unfair and disgusting. She did so many awful things to him. He's obviously a good person deep down inside with a lot of demons; she's just a selfish, conceited, and fame-hungry gold digger. He may look chill, but going to court as a defendant or plaintiff is nerve wracking. You never know what witnesses are going to say about you, and it must be a thousand times worse for a celebrity in a televised hearing.
Even seeing the way they both get out the cars and walk in. Johnny gets out, and holds his hand out to help others out of the car. Then waves when he hears his name, he’s got such a sweet persona. I feel awful that he’s going through this and really hope Amber Heard gets what she deserves

The way Depp’s face lights up when KJ talks about his interactions with her son at around the 1:40 mark, its pure fondness and delight for someone else’s joy. Something I don’t think you’d ever see on Heard’s face, she doesn’t care about anyone other than herself.
It's too bad his friend's testimony was thrown out. The truth is the judge can tell them to disregard her testimony all she wants, but you can't unhear what you hear. It will still have an effect.

I assume it can taint a witness's testimony and they can modify their story etc. she wasnt supposed to watch anything until she had testified. Good on her to admit it as she could have lied

I cannot imagine that Johnny Depp would put himself and his loved ones through this in order to pursue this case against Amber Heard if her terrible allegations were true. I wish this talented and lovely man all of the best. Clearly, he has some personal demons that he has struggled with, and again I can but hope that he can put those and this dark relationship behind him. I hope prevailing in this legal action can be a path to that peace that he deserves.

Are witnesses somehow biased by seeing testimony as to events but not by their actual participation in the events and relationship to events? Also, what is the point of having such a rule if practically speaking it is so easy to flout without anyone being able to prove it? In other words, just about every witness could be doing this and there's no way of knowing. Finally, why did the defence raise this issue so late in the testimony. Do you think someone just e.g. emailed them some evidence she might have been watching the trial online? Thanks for your help??

I have only started listening to her, and I find her defensiveness is not helpful. Yes, AH likely harmed her, because there’s so much evidence that she’s an abusive individual, but Kate’s tone does not make her sound like a credible witness (at least in the beginning of this).

No human being is an angel. We all have our own problems, and Johnny is a normal human just like we are. People all around the world does drugs and drinks..that’s not the problem here. Having addiction and drinking problems does NOT mean that they are abusive. We are trying to find out who the abusive person is, and all the evidence is obviously pointing towards Amber.
Uh this might not be Johnny but their is addicts that get extremely aggressive and aggravated from craving and pain. They became abusive. compulsively lying, gaslighting you, grabbing, harassing, and fighting. Specially alcoholics but I seen it with drug addicts as well.

The attorney is "infuriating" because questions are asked and rephrased and asked again and again, which is how it's done. Infuriating shows the attorney is doing what an attorney must sometimes do, even if it annoys. The judge can always intervene if "asked and answered" is indicated or harassment is called.
The jury must understand that suffering from addiction issues does not make you guilty. I purport that Ms. Heard's personality disorders and proclivity to taunt and enrage and actually hit Johnny makes HER the abuser!
I wish Depp's team would just lean into his drug and alcohol use more. His sister was very cagey about it, it's not a good look. In the case of George Floyd's murderer, the prosecution knew they would bring up the substance use of GF, so they preempted ALL of it, basically reminded everyone that we all know someone addicted to opioids and that addiction is an ILLNESS not a character flaw.

Same. I just started watching the case too and the first thing I noticed is how he helps his sister, another woman and an older gentleman out of the car. He speaks or waves to the camera man when passing and he waves at fans. From everyone's testimony I've heard so far all I've heard is how nice Johnny is and how much he helped them without asking to be paid back. I really do hope Johnny wins and gets justice. As a person who has lived with a narcissist, I can confirm. Narcissists all have one thing in common: me, me, me. They guilt-trip you into doing what they want, and try to make you feel bad when you say enough is enough. Yes, drugs change people and can make them do horrible things but those things are things you want to do but cant morally or in good conscious when sober. But it also all comes down to personality and how a person is: if they have violent tendencies when sober, it's more likely going to be heightened when under influences. JD seems like a very laid back person and nonviolent so one can only assume. Though, as a viewer, you dont know what happens behind closed doors. But I stand with Johnny. Amber Heard is so many things but a good person isnt one of them.

Not to condone drugs, .... but. 20-30 years ago (like the 1990's😳), coke was a 'serious' drug. From a social viewpoint it was grouped with heroin. But at that time, in Australia, you got TWENTY YEARS for possession of marijuana. Now, coke is one of the most popular recreational drugs. Many people will still form opinions of JD based on his drug use, but in that courtroom statistically, 50% will have tried it, up to 10% are semi-regular users, .... and more than a couple of people (the type of people who may be trying to report on a eight hour trial, then have a article ready for the next day, and do it for 6 weeks), are probably on it as they sit in the courtroom and observe the trial.
Angie it has been decades and decades that women's groups have been building a notion or more so a doctrine that female's violence is only a response to male violence. These organizations have been inundating and teaching this notion to Judges, Lawyers, court personnel, therapist, etc., that women are ONLY violent when a man has either conditioned them to be or done something so horrific that the woman had no other recourse. It is all nonsense. Women are sometimes much more violent in so many ways then men. They have got away with being violent and society turns its blind eye (because female violence is harmless) that people like Amber think their violence is to be tolerated and accepted. You can tell by just her expressions in court that she is entitled. Shame on our society. I wonder how she will be violent to her new baby?

I think she literally drove him to madness…I remember being in a relationship with someone that was extremely ab*sive and by the end I had zero hours of sleep. The barrage of texts, phone calls, I’d be in his room and I’d try to leave and he literally wouldn’t let me. He’d always say I was a horrible girlfriend because I didn’t “fight” back with him when he was violent. He’d say if I would just placate him or fight back when he behaved that way, he wouldn’t do it anymore. After a year of nearly getting killed a couple times and having no energy anymore…I walked away. It doesn’t matter what happens in this case, at least he got away with his life. It’s the thing you think about most when you wish you could erase your memories or have chosen your partners better when you’re with a person like that. The fact that she always tells him that he needs to stay and “fight” should have been a huge red flag to the marriage counsellor. That and becoming terrified every time he left her for work. It’s a major sign of bpd. She missed all the signs and Johnny was failed unfortunately…
She knew the signs of BPD or alike, but that was not her job. Her job was marriage counseling not tipping off either one that the other is impossible to have a relationship with. Amber had a hole in her that she wanted Johnny to fill. When she thought Johnny couldn't fill it---he got whacked. Literally. Like you said BPD.

I’ve been trying to avoid it so I could watch the whole trial all back to back and form my own opinions based on the trial alone but it was obvious pretty quickly that was impossible because it’s literally everywhere! Go back and re-watch that little segment of Amber's legal team right after Gina states that the year she flew to Australia with JD's team was 2015, and you can literally see the fuc*ery going on with Mr. Rottenborn and Eve Barlow. How much you wanna bet that that snake Barlow was monitoring her social media on her phone (which she wasn't supposed to be doing), somehow found out about Gina, and TEXTED Mr. R. from right there behind him! In a sense, yes it can be terrifying and invasive. On the other hand, such documents are critical to getting the whole picture in court cases. For example, these records have been utilized a thousand times over as evidence in cases involving shady or criminal behavior. Essentially, the ends justify the means.

Kate's recollection of seeing Johnny with her son was so sweet and you could tell it really touched Johnny that her son still has the guitar pick. I loved how she was no nonsense with Amber's lawyer but was completely amicable with Johnny's lawyer. It's evident that she isn't in awe of him for his celebrity, she respects him. It isn't about like or dislike to her, it's about respect and that respect is earned. His witnesses aren't there because he is Johnny Depp, they are there because he is Johnny. It's lovely to see how much people love him.

As a woman and a DV survivor in my first relationship of 7 years, when I left I wanted zero to do with my partner. I just wanted to be rid of him. I recently broke off yet another relationship with someone a lot like Amber, more narcissistic then physically abusive, but it was starting to lean in that direction I started seeing the signs and because I had been in a relationship previously I was able to leave after only 4 years, but when I did leave I didn’t ask for anything. I didn’t even ask for child support. I left all our belongings and told him he could have them. To this day both of them have tried has to get back with me and mend our relationship but I refuse, not because I’m proud, but because i am very scared of what they might do to me or my children. I also do not even open that door because the minute I do something they don’t like I feel like they would make my life miserable.
She wasn’t a victim, if she was trust me when I say. She would be scared of what he would do to her if she did something even close to this. I have been stalked and followed almost run off the road, I have been threatened. I have had stuff thrown at me while in my vehicle from his vehicle. My vehicle has been busted up, broken, hit. He has shown up to my house and tried to come after me. My last ear fiancé sat outside my house and if anyone came over he would speed in the driveway & accuse me of infidelity. They have held me down locked me in my home, Locke me out of my home, wrecked my home, thrown my stuff and my kids stuff outside. Mind you this is all cause I left. This isn’t even a little bit of what I have had to deal with after leaving. Trust me. She wouldn’t be this brave. I’m prideful to, but if you know a narcissist, they mend your mind and twist you up. It’s truly sad and scary. She is the perpetrator!!!!

I have watched a few of Mr Depp’s movies over the years... but after watching the last 3 days of this trial, I am more inspired about the wonderful heart he has and the great many people he has helped. He’s seems to be a genuinely good person in all testimonies.

Infuriating shows the attorney is doing what an attorney must sometimes do, even if it annoys. The judge can always intervene if "asked and answered" is indicated or harassment is called.

He speaks or waves to the camera man when passing and he waves at fans. From everyone's testimony I've heard so far all I've heard is how nice Johnny is and how much he helped them without asking to be paid back. I really do hope Johnny wins and gets justice. Just like JD's friend Isaac said "AH's lies has affected JD and his family and it isn't fair or right" I wish for him to be able to move on from this and be able to pursue whatever makes him happy.

As a person who has lived with a narcissist, I can confirm. Narcissists all have one thing in common: me, me, me. They guilt-trip you into doing what they want, and try to make you feel bad when you say enough is enough. Yes, drugs change people and can make them do horrible things but those things are things you want to do but cant morally or in good conscious when sober. But it also all comes down to personality and how a person is: if they have violent tendencies when sober, it's more likely going to be heightened when under influences. JD seems like a very laid back person and nonviolent so one can only assume. Though, as a viewer, you dont know what happens behind closed doors. But I stand with Johnny. Amber Heard is so many things but a good person isnt one of them.

Many people will still form opinions of JD based on his drug use, but in that courtroom statistically, 50% will have tried it, up to 10% are semi-regular users, .... and more than a couple of people (the type of people who may be trying to report on a eight hour trial, then have a article ready for the next day, and do it for 6 weeks), are probably on it as they sit in the courtroom and observe the trial.

Angie it has been decades and decades that women's groups have been building a notion or more so a doctrine that female's violence is only a response to male violence. These organizations have been inundating and teaching this notion to Judges, Lawyers, court personnel, therapist, etc., that women are ONLY violent when a man has either conditioned them to be or done something so horrific that the woman had no other recourse. It is all nonsense. Women are sometimes much more violent in so many ways then men. They have got away with being violent and society turns its blind eye (because female violence is harmless) that people like Amber think their violence is to be tolerated and accepted. You can tell by just her expressions in court that she is entitled. Shame on our society. I wonder how she will be violent to her new baby?

I think she literally drove him to madness…I remember being in a relationship with someone that was extremely ab*sive and by the end I had zero hours of sleep. The barrage of texts, phone calls, I’d be in his room and I’d try to leave and he literally wouldn’t let me. He’d always say I was a horrible girlfriend because I didn’t “fight” back with him when he was violent. He’d say if I would just placate him or fight back when he behaved that way, he wouldn’t do it anymore. After a year of nearly getting killed a couple times and having no energy anymore…I walked away. It doesn’t matter what happens in this case, at least he got away with his life. It’s the thing you think about most when you wish you could erase your memories or have chosen your partners better when you’re with a person like that. The fact that she always tells him that he needs to stay and “fight” should have been a huge red flag to the marriage counsellor. That and becoming terrified every time he left her for work. It’s a major sign of bpd. She missed all the signs and Johnny was failed unfortunately…
She knew the signs of BPD or alike, but that was not her job. Her job was marriage counseling not tipping off either one that the other is impossible to have a relationship with. Amber had a hole in her that she wanted Johnny to fill. When she thought Johnny couldn't fill it---he got whacked. Literally. Like you said BPD.

I’ve been trying to avoid it so I could watch the whole trial all back to back and form my own opinions based on the trial alone but it was obvious pretty quickly that was impossible because it’s literally everywhere! I don’t watch tv or read the newspaper and am rarely in social media of any kind and I still couldn’t avoid hearing stuff and seeing clips all over the place!
Go back and re-watch that little segment of Amber's legal team right after Gina states that the year she flew to Australia with JD's team was 2015, and you can literally see the fuc*ery going on with Mr. Rottenborn and Eve Barlow. How much you wanna bet that that snake Barlow was monitoring her social media on her phone (which she wasn't supposed to be doing), somehow found out about Gina, and TEXTED Mr. R. from right there behind him! You can literally see the moment that he got the message on his phone and called over that Elaine chick to tell her what happened! 😠And then you can see Harlow and her little group huddling while counsel was in sidebar! They utter hypocrisy is outrageous!

For example, these records have been utilized a thousand times over as evidence in cases involving shady or criminal behavior. Essentially, the ends justify the means.
