Was thinking the same, also the houses light bill will probably be higher, since they removed the little insulation it had.
It’s meant to conserve energy within the house, they’re more eco-friendly than not having some. Shutters to me are more elegant than what she replaced it with… some sticker looking stuff but if that’s what she likes, that’s why it’s her home
@@stephosoeverything is a matter of opinion. They were very trendy for a while and are more popular in a traditional style home. She’s going on a more modern, open concept direction, which is more on trend now. Luckily, we all get to choose our own style for our own homes. Most people buy them simply for aesthetics, so, if it’s not your vibe, no need to have them.

OK so I have an older house but the windows are newer but they are the rays from the bottom half opens do you think it would look stupid to put those lines on those kind of windows?
absolutely not! If you love it, go for it. Try a temp version. Live with it for a week and go from there. ❤❤❤

Pssst...you need to buy a letter from Vanna. 🤣😂 But I don't recommend wasting your vowel funds on this one. Have you priced black windows lately? 4 to 5 times more than the standard home grade. And often not available in all sizes. THIS IS THE EXPENSIVE look for 2023-24.
I think I saw her do this with electrical tape also back when she was experimenting.
@@jerrisilva5834 YES if you pause this short video at :11 you will see the electrical tape application. It works! And will work in the event you want to try a cheap trial run before buying or building your mullions. Will help you decide what size will look best. EDITED to add: I have seen others do this in the bathroom on shower / tub stall applications! The tape is an easy peasy fix.
That’s a matter of opinion. It’s just a change of style. Shutters are very traditional and her home is more modern and simplistic. It fits HER home style. And thankfully doesn’t matter what anyone else thinks 😊 we all love something diff.
