if Drury was able to move Trouba we would most likely have Stamkos or Marchessault on the roster now..

Great Video. As you said in the video, Mollie, it's that all of the opposing teams, after they get past The Regular Season, are playing Mika & Artemi tight, so, The Rangers are going to have to mix up the lines, especially, by putting Hard Hitters & Puck Handlers in with these guys. Let me know what you think

It's about time Mika and Kreider get blamed for no right wing working there. I cant imagine coming to the bench every shift and having my line mates talk to each other incessantly and ignore me. Worst job in hockey.

Lets not act like the locker room is going to be dramatically effected if Trouba is gone. A: they are professionals and understand its a business. B: Game recognizes game and the players are not blind to Trouba's terrible play and constant unnecessary penalties especially in the playoffs. I'm sure they will be fine if he is replaced and that $ is used for a baller.

    • @tbonet859
      @tbonet859 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

Overly exaggerated fan & social media bashing: of Trouba's defensive game.
      It's become absurd.
Trouba was not on the ice for the back breaking goals against, in Games 5 & 6, against the Panthers.
Trouba was on the ice for one goal against, in Games 5 & 6.
Evaluate how those back breaking goals were scored, and who was on the ice.
Of course, while everyone obsessively ignores the dozens upon dozens of strong, smart defensive plays Trouba makes every game: to break up and snuff out dangerous, high percentage scoring opportunities.
Not to mention the dozens of vital blocked shots, from Trouba; which saves their asses.
And if you actually believe Trouba is not a highly respected Captain and defenseman, in that locker room ( and around the league), you're delusional.
Guy plays on a bad ankle, and the fanbase screams he's done and he sucks.
Fox stinks up the place every night, in his own zone...even without an injured knee: crickets.....from the fanbase.

@@tbonet859 alright buddy if Trouba is so good why did they just try getting rid of him and why was he moved to the third line in the playoffs. Rangers could have went up 3-1 in the series but he was selfish and WAY out of position on the PK bc he wanted to hit a guy. Everytime there is a bad defensive break down I'm staring at Trouba 2ft away. Sorry but he is the problem and has been bailed out by Igor countless times.

I would make the argument that now that Glen Sather has handed in his keys to the building that they can officially rid themselves of his stench both literally and figuratively. His reign in NY for nearly 25 years has been an abject, total and complete failure from nearly any metric. Any educated season ticket holder could have amassed a record similar to Sather's if not exceeding it. One finals appearance in 24 years. One! Sather proved to be a one-trick pony and further demonstrated that without the shoulders of Gretzky and Messier on which to ride he was and is a below average executive with no ideas, nothing r=to offer and had no idea how to build a franchise outside of the one he built in 1980.
Now that the tumor has been lanced, hopefully the body can recover. And Sather was a tumor on the organization.
Maybe Mika & Kreider should get with the realization that despite the amount of time they've played together, they've won nothing. So who cares? If it were up to me, I would either move one or both of them or separate them and allow them to adjust to new lines. Keeping them together has not worked.

If you really think about it hard, the Rangers have drafted ONE decent forward (who has stayed) in the last 25 years: Kreider. To me the jury is still out on Lafreniere. He is still not producing any where near worthy of his pick.
And I am by no means a Kreider fan. I think he is a below average player, with a terrible wrist shot, and who is extremely opportunistic. but to be fair he does put up numbers and recently started killing penalties (shocker there).
And then think about ALL THE MISSES with the forwards who they drafted or the ones like JT Miller who they gave up on or traded away. It is absolutely mind boggling. And as a result the roster is a revolving door of retreads and overpays (moldy man).
Bottom line-if you cannot draft, develop, and retain good forwards you will NOT win a Stanley Cup.

@@timothyehrler4325 Their track record with Dmen is terrible as well. Other than Marc Staal the Rangers have not drafted and developed an NHL Dman since what seems like Brian Leetch. Dan Girardi was undrafted, McDonagh was acquired via trade. Lindgren, Trouba, Fox all through trade. K'Andre Miller is the only dman in the top 4 right now who was drafted and he isn't even a natural defensemen which is not difficult to tell. I'm waiting to see just how they will blow it with Schneider. Also can't forget giving Zubov and Norstrom away for aging rejects.
