- Recipe here: www.joyofbaking.com/cakes/Choc... Stephanie Jaworski of Joyofbaking.com demonstrates how to make Chocolate Eclairs. A Chocolate Eclair is a delicious combination of crisp pastry, luscious cream, and dark chocolate. Eclairs start with a hollow, log-shaped shell of choux pastry that can be filled with vanilla, chocolate, or a coffee flavored pastry cream. The finishing touch is to dip the top of the pastry in a vanilla, chocolate, or coffee flavored glaze or fondant.

By far, the best channel/teacher to watch if you want to "learn" how to bake properly and not just watch people making food. I also appreciate that Stephanie bakes in smaller batches, so that if I make a mistake, I don't waste a lot of ingredients
Thanks Steph you taught my long lost sister to bake. We were separated at birth as our mother was not able to care for the 2 of us and its great that we have finally met and share a great passion. Your an inspiration xxx
This is my first food memory. Standing on a chair and helping my mom make choux pastry at age 3. Every time I make choux pastry or even gravy, and smell the gelatinized flour, I remember that day.
Great video once again, Stephanie! Many thanks!
for any recipe i want, I always find the best explained one on your channel. thank you
I agree with you mam. She's the best!
LOVE the way she explains her recipe n the way she keeps all her utensils so neat n organized ;)
So good to hear they turned out.
Thank you so much for this recipe. I made it as a treat today for my mom since it's Mother's Day and she loved them. They came out perfectly! Just like yours!
My choux just came out of the oven and they are gorgeous! Perfect in every way. Thanks for this detailed recipe.

I made this and it was just as the image at the end. Wonderful recipe. Thank you soo much! Subscribed forever x
I think it's cute to see how excited she gets when something tastes good, lol you can almost tell that she's trying to keep her composure because she's on camera. :)
Great recipe!
Wow I'm addicted to watching your videos! You make everything seem so easy to do. Everything you make turns out so perfect! I find these so helpful! Thank you for posting these videos.
What a wonderful lesson on making eclairs. Julia Child would be proud.
That was a fantastic video! Thorough, simple step by step explanations and I especially appreciated how she converted all the measurments. I had eclairs for the first time on a road trip with my brother…..AMAZING!!!
i totally agree with you. The fact that she doing this for free and give really good detailed instructions is already by itself awesome. I learnt more from watching her videos than some fancy cookbook. :)
I made these today and they are just perfect. It was a perfect treat for my family. I always have success with baking when following your recipes. Thank you so much Stephanie 🙏❤

My mum was a great baker and she used to use all your recipes she passed away 5 months ago from covid and I've started baking because it reminded of her and brought me peace so thank you so much you don't know how much this means to me
I’m so sorry for your loss. It must be very difficult. It is good that baking helps you.
@@joyofbaking thank you ❤️❤️ and you keep doing what you do love from India ❤️❤️
@kaavya I lost my beloved mother almost4 years ago. We, as a family, lost my Godchild/niece hours apart. Different states, age 30. Very suddenly. Two of us daughters begin quilting, because we wanted to carry on my mothers love. How I wish I’d paid a lot more attention when mother made pie crust. With her it was a touch here, drips of water there, and always the best, most flaky crust ever. Happy Baking, and I wish you peace until you are with your mother again!
@@JeanneOlson-vv9tl thank you so much for this and I really hope we both find peace soon I think our loved ones are always there watching over us with their love and blessings!!
What a wonderful demonstrator this lady is! Her explanations are so clear, she is not at all pretentious in her delivery, and I have learnt so much from watching her.
@john. Agree 1,000%! Most clear, unpretentious instructions, with side hints galore! I’ve been a fan for a long time. Thanks Stephanie!
Your recipe demonstrations are AMAZING! I actually like that they are a little longer, because I prefer detailed step-by-step explanations. You deserve more subscribers.
I just want to thank you from the bottom of my heart
I love the way you described every step precisely the mixture came out wonderful and the eclairs came out fabulous
I think you again and God bless .
Joe.
Thank you (and your husband) for putting your time and effort into making these wonderful videos! As a novice baker, I really appreciate your detailed instruction.
Some people have questioned your 'joy of baking' as you looked quite stiff in some videos, and I find these comments very rude and nonsense! Who isn't nervous in front of the camera? And most importantly, who would put tons of his/her time, money and effort doing something Free Of Charge without enjoying it?
Once again, thank you !
I made a double batch of these and brought them to a church party this morning. They were gone in 10 minutes. Most of the other food was store bought. About 4 square feet of Costo sheet cake was leftover but I had a clean tray. :D
Did you double each step or make two separate batches
WOW...
Amazing recipe. I tried making it today and it came out very well! Highly recommend.
Thank you for the recipe. You are a great teacher. These are my favorites. Can’t wait to try it.
Yet again a stunning demonstration with loads of information. Thank you.
I love how you always say the US unit and then the SI unit. So clear and easy to understand!
Yes, I did say that in my headnote and that I was breaking from tradition by using a vanilla pastry cream and a chocolate glaze.
I've followed so many of your recipes. Each and every one of them were perfectly brilliant (especially the 'Fruit Cake' which I made for christmas). Thank you so much for sharing your recipes of gold.
Kate
I love that you tell us both metric systems! Thank you so much for that!

Im making this for my school catering coursework. There has been several times when I made it where it didnt turn out quite right so this vid was really helpful.
I've been watching you for a couple years now, and recently got a stand mixer to really roll up my sleeves and do some heavy duty baking. I made your spritz cookies. I can't make them fast enough now, it seems. I got an awesome cookie press on Amazon for 30 bucks, and it makes just the most beautiful shapes! Thanks for making these videos. You seem like a nice lady too. Have a good day! :)
Thank you Ms.

I baked these eclairs first time and with your recipe they came out beautiful.
Very clear instructions, I have always made perfect profiteroles, but this is my first time with eclairs. Had a problem
filling, as my ordinary plastic bag was wobbly. Will try a proper one next time. They looked fine, if a little misshapen.
My wife was impressed.
perfect recipe I LOVE watching your videos.

I love Eclairs or cream puff. I always put little rum in pastry cream.

Eclairs from Switzerland/ France are perfection. ❤️
Thank you very much uploading. Great as usual!
These are absolutely fantastic and look delicious. Thank you
Once you cover and store the choux pastry, it does soften. You could try reheating it to make it crisp again.
I like it when it softens too, and with the cream very cold inside. Your eclairs are THE BEST.
The crunch I heard when u bit into it wants me so much to make it rightaway
Yes, they are quite similar.
So excited to make this. Cant wait.

Ms Jaworski does the definitive correct version of every recipe. Everyone else are renegades doing things willy nilly, which isn't a bad thing always.
