My mom died one year ago, I just opened this game again after around 3 years ago, I cried so hard, this music reminds me my mom, I got this game durig the situation with COVID and I usted to spend time with her talking and cooking, what a good game and what a good mom I had.
True man, almost every second of this game scene can be used for wallpaper. Though not the best metroidvania, soundtrack on this game is really heart-warming and definitely worth money and time.
All my runs were awesome and I will still play Ori every now and then just to travel through Sorrow's Pass again! My fav run was when I self imposed a Hard + No upgrades challenge just to get 2 achievements at one. It was a pain in the ass but I would do it again lol.

I always told him i loved this intro song because it would hit me deep in the feelings, i even told him once that i played the game because naru resembled him very much, he was big and always caring for me and my mom. I would never ever thought that this would be the last game he would watch me play.. he died 3 months ago, and listening to this just breaks me appart.

Fun fact: All Ori themes were made by huge orchestra that counts up to 83 people. Music was created in real time and later slightly edited. Thats the reason why I like Microsoft, for having even the smallest attention to details.

I can't help but think about how far video games have come. 30 years ago, we had Super Mario Bros. on the NES. A game like this would be completely impossible on all aspects on such a console. I only hope that, in the coming future, that we will get more games like this.
You have to enjoy the fact that these people were able to create something beautiful enough that it makes you emotional after X amount of times playing it
Oh, and the fact that my current computer can't even handle the game! Like... I would start it and there would be missing textures, plus tons of lag... The only way I fan play it is at my local library on one of the Gaming Computers. Luckily it only takes like 10 minutes to download it. But I can only play it for an hour at a time...
Perhaps you should consider purchasing an Xbox One. It's gone down in price by $150! The game is incredibly smooth on it as well - that's where I played it.

Ori has to be the most beautiful and emotionally touching game ive ever played, the story and music all are majestic, and Ori's main menu theme is just beautiful on a whole new level, this game is just a masterpiece. And I wont leave out the second game, both hold a special place in my heart

I know this comment is old af but I recently played this for the first time and had to take a break after the prologue because I wasn’t sure what to expect out of this game but I definitely wasn’t expecting my feelings to be assaulted. When I play other games like Halo, Fallout,etc. I can't wait till I'm done with the story and can move on to the next game but every now and again I find a game with art so beautiful,music so touching,and characters that I can't help but love to play as or along side with. This is one of those games I may enjoy playing those other games but when I finished playing Ori I wanted nothing more than for the story to keep going. You could try Child of Light, which features beautifully drawn graphics and a wonderful soundtrack, as well as To The Moon, which - despite being "RPG Maker" style - has a wonderful, highly emotional story and an equally emotional soundtrack to go with it. :)
+Icey have it actually all three .... if I remember correctly..... never played them as I got them Tuesday and sinc then I've had 2 12hr day shifts then a 12 hr night shift that wasnt supposed to happen and the I worked 3 sat to Mon 12 hr then got a call to work Tues and wedsenday ( today) then I work Thurs and Fri 12 hr ...... so needless to say, time to game ISN'T on my side as time to do things is limited to practically nothing

I burst to cry imidideatly...,and it was a tears of loy and sadness at the same time...This is a masterpiece...Imagine yourself watching UP or WALLIE or any of the Pixar sad movies and wanting to be part of the storie, THAT is what this game is about !!! You progress through the saddest story and trying to make the best of you of being good....But....I can't....i just can't express my self....just trust me....this is a good game, it's s masterpiece if i can say so myself !Try it ) You wil not be disappointed . This game was something words can't express, from beginning to end. Before even hitting the start button, I just sat and listened. Before I knew it I heard this song again, and the game was over, and had come full circle.
That game touched my heart like nothing before. I cryed at the sad moments and was really happy at the beutiful and heart warming moments (Like at the end of the game) This is the first game in my entire life, that I've played more then once, to see everything of this world. If you start to cry at this song: Cry! There is no shame to show your emotions. This game shows you so much, that let you feel sad or great. I start to smile at the first moment, I start the game. This game was and will always be in my heart.

One of the greatest video games I've had the pleasure of playing. Been gaming for over 20 years, no video game has ever made me cry, but Ori and the Blind Forest made me tear up 15 minutes into the game. Gorgeous visuals, amazing soundtrack, beautiful story, and great platforming/puzzle solving gameplay. I loved every minute I spent with this game.
Every single time I launch this game, I can't even get past the main menu screen for several minutes because of the music being way beyond beautiful. :')
This game talks about grief in such a beautiful way. It doesnt matter who you lost in your life... A friend... A parent... A child... A familly... A community you belonged to... If you ever lost someone close to you , this game is going to find that one grief within you and everything is going to resurface and you wont even be mad. In fact youll love the game even more for being able to it in such a peaceful way.
If you guys haven't seen "Last Minutes With Oden" yet, I suggest you do. Only 6 minutes but it will change the way you see other people. *Warning* it is a complete cryfest. This was honestly the most appropriate place I could find to spread the word about this wonderful video, just because this story makes me cry as well.
A tale of a creature if light, born early and orphaned. Adopted by a mother who didn't have to, and lead to a devastating demise. An amazing adventure and an emotional resurrection. One thing leads to another, and one mothers emotions connect with another, causing the antagonist to sacrifice themselves to a world they didn't care about, just because she knew what she did was wrong. Great. Story. I can't wait for what the DE had to offer.

I have not played this game. When the trailer came out and I heard it. I was in love with the soundtrack alone. Good god the music in this game is just awesome.
Man, this game is just like Journey to me... The visuals the gameplay and the music alltogether creates such an extraordinary universe... Cannot handle it

When I play other games like Halo, Fallout,etc. I can't wait till I'm done with the story and can move on to the next game but every now and again I find a game with art so beautiful,music so touching,and characters that I can't help but love to play as or along side with. This is one of those games I may enjoy playing those other games but when I finished playing Ori I wanted nothing more than for the story to keep going. I wanted to hear more of the music,see more of the art,and keep playing as Ori. What I'm saying is I love this game and only ever spoken so highly about two other games. Moon Studios has done a wonderful job and I hope they keep it up.

Tolle Inszenierung,Sound und Emotionen.Das alles passt perfekt zusammen in diesem Spiel.Ich habe schon lange sowas in der Spielewelt nicht mehr gesehen.Mit so viel Liebe zum Detail usw.
Das Spiel ist wirklich mit so viel Liebe zum Detail gezeichnet worden. Ich würde den Hintergrund des Spiels unglaublich gerne als Bild an meiner Wand hängen haben. Die Musik ist auch wunderschön
Pixelsize Jo und sowas vermisse ich heute in sehr vielen Spielen.

You could try Child of Light, which features beautifully drawn graphics and a wonderful soundtrack, as well as To The Moon, which - despite being "RPG Maker" style - has a wonderful, highly emotional story and an equally emotional soundtrack to go with it. :)

+Icey have it actually all three .... if I remember correctly..... never played them as I got them Tuesday and sinc then I've had 2 12hr day shifts then a 12 hr night shift that wasnt supposed to happen and the I worked 3 sat to Mon 12 hr then got a call to work Tues and wedsenday ( today) then I work Thurs and Fri 12 hr ...... so needless to say, time to game ISN'T on my side as time to do things is limited to practically nothing
This and second one is a masterpiece that we all gonna remember till the end of our journeys.
It's one of these gems that just have a special place in heart and can't be forgotten, and give you warm when you think about it.
My story ( please don't judge, i dont know English well) :
I bought this game and it was just hanging out on my desktop for a month. I didn't played it because i heard that it was incredibly good...and I didn't want to play it because if it's sucked it will break my heart....but at some point i ran out of games that i like to play, and my only option was ori....damn if i ever regret to open the game and hear the main theme..... I burst to cry imidideatly...,and it was a tears of loy and sadness at the same time...This is a masterpiece...Imagine yourself watching UP or WALLIE or any of the Pixar sad movies and wanting to be part of the storie, THAT is what this game is about !!! You progress through the saddest story and trying to make the best of you of being good....But....I can't....i just can't express my self....just trust me....this is a good game, it's s masterpiece if i can say so myself !Try it ) You wil not be disappointed .

I really find the music theme, microsoft and moon studio's animation perfectly blend.
This game was something words can't express, from beginning to end. Before even hitting the start button, I just sat and listened. Before I knew it I heard this song again, and the game was over, and had come full circle.

That hurt. This game has such a touching story that your heart strings will be soar the next day.
One of the greatest video games I've had the pleasure of playing. Been gaming for over 20 years, no video game has ever made me cry, but Ori and the Blind Forest made me tear up 15 minutes into the game. Gorgeous visuals, amazing soundtrack, beautiful story, and great platforming/puzzle solving gameplay. I loved every minute I spent with this game.

If you ever lost someone close to you , this game is going to find that one grief within you and everything is going to resurface and you wont even be mad. In fact youll love the game even more for being able to it in such a peaceful way.
I have never cried over a game before. This damn thing is so emotionally driven it’s almost painful.
If you guys haven't seen "Last Minutes With Oden" yet, I suggest you do. Only 6 minutes but it will change the way you see other people. *Warning* it is a complete cryfest. This was honestly the most appropriate place I could find to spread the word about this wonderful video, just because this story makes me cry as well.

A tale of a creature if light, born early and orphaned. Adopted by a mother who didn't have to, and lead to a devastating demise. An amazing adventure and an emotional resurrection. One thing leads to another, and one mothers emotions connect with another, causing the antagonist to sacrifice themselves to a world they didn't care about, just because she knew what she did was wrong.
