Yeah, you can tell the artists have a lot of fun with her splash arts! And to be fair, she does sound like one of most fun concepts to play around with. A blade dancer; graceful but lethal, calm but headstrong. No doubt it's fun both for the artists to work on and for viewers to watch those traits being illustrated in a slightly different way every time, especially the way the blades are creatively used to emphasise irelia herself in every splash art

They're just using values of grey first then switching up to their own personal style of coloring. Used to think it was magically combination of colors by instinct.
@@fireclaystudiollc it’s more complicated then that though. The combinations of colors look good from the grey scale cause they know what colors to use. Plus the grey scale is just another form of shading/lighting
