How To: Remove & Replace Front Fender 2007-2011 Toyota Camry

- Today, I’m going to show how easy it is to replace the front fender on most modern vehicles, including this 2009 Toyota Camry.
I'm installing the new fender I painted in a previous video here: • How to Paint a Vehicle...
I used the following tools to remove and install the fender:
• 10mm socket
• Small & Large Flathead Screwdriver
• #2 Phillips Head Screwdriver
• Panel Popper Tool or Wire Cutters
• Needle Nose Pliers
• Towel
That's It! The whole job of removing and installing can take less than an hour. I hope this helps you save some money by doing it yourself.

Drawing the fender on the cardboard as a guide for where the bolts go is genius! Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
You're welcome! After scratching my head figuring out where all the different screws go on something, I started making a cardboard map and never had that problem again.

I often had extra bolts after the job was done… not since I started using a cardboard fender map 😁
I'm not a mechanic by any stretch. It's normally totally out of my wheelhouse. This guide is awesome though and gives me the confidence to do it myself. Absolutely brilliant, thanks!

Man This video was detailed and super helpful. My dads tire blew out on the hw at 60mph. Destroyed fender, head light, bumper. and side skirt. Mainly the fender connections. Watching your video i found out that the headlight brackets were also destroyed and that was the most damaged along with the side skirt bolt bent forward. I belive i can straighten out the sideskirt 10mm bolt connection to the new fender. And replace the headlight brakets before installing the new fender.
I'm a fan of trying to fix what I have to stay under budget than buy replacement parts new. The gorilla-glued plastic bracket I used was as good as new. Either way, parts are plentiful for Toyota Camry's because there's so many out there. You can find anything you need used on ebay for a fair price.
How did you straighten it out
How much did he pay to get all that fixed because I have a Nissan my front bumper , left tail light & fender , plus my left wheel is damaged from being hit . My bumper is completely off and the tail light is broken how much did he have to pay ?

I crashed that I literally bought 2 weeks ago in a snow storm. Replacing bumper, grill, light and left fender. Watched a few vids and it doesn't look too terrible. I'm worried about the brackets more than anything. Working on a Infiniti G37.
How was replacing the fender on the g37? I have a m37 that I bought with a deep dent on a body line on the fender and was looking at replacing it.

6th Gear Garage I replaced the fender. Unfortunately I couldn’t find the correct color so I had to respray it. It looks a slightly different color to the rest of the vehicle as I painted it with a rattle can. Overall very happy with the outcome though. Thank you again

I intend to replace a front fender (driver side) for my old car toyota camry 2012, but I don't know the way to remove & replace is also the same as 2007-2011 toyota camry or not. I haven't worked on a Juke, but I'd look for the bolts in the same places. It might be a little different around the headlight area, as different manufacturers attach them different ways in that area.

It's probably similar, being a Toyota sedan of the same era, but there may be some slight differences.
Super helpful! One thing with the 2015 Kia soul... The bolts on the door are extremely hard to reach! The door is right in the way. I'm sure there's something that makes it easier to get to but I'm not sure what it is.

My 2015 Lexus ct200h seems to have the front left fender welded on in at least one spot so far. Great video though!

Ehsan Shinwari I bought my fender on Amazon. eBay usually has good deals too. For the paint, check your local auto parts stores. They don't have every perfect match color on the shelf, but should be able to special order it if needed.

You can try opening the door so you can reach between it and the fender, then pull the fender outward slightly. The metal is thin enough on the fender that you should be able to tug it out just enough to clear the door where it is making contact.

I don't have one to make a video, but either the car was in an accident and the body is tweaked or the fender bolts need to be loosened and the fender slid slightly toward the front and then re-tightened. THe bolt holes on the door hinges may be able to be adjusted as well, but I'd try the fender first.

How do you adjust the fender crack between good, mine looks to wide on both sides. 07 Pontiac Vibe
You need to loosen all the bolts on the top edge of the fender and push it in a little, then re-tighten them.
@@6thGearGarage I wish it was that easy, I did that a bunch of times already. Then it pops out of line in a different spot that was tightened down so don't get how it moved. After market junk, just don't line up with all the holes was the start of all these problems, thanks for your thoughts anyway
@@tmiller590 you may have to elongate some of the holes on the fender if the fitment is that bad. Or the car chassis could have been tweaked in an accident.

03-07 Silverado drivers side fender sucks. Battery tray and fuse box are both mounted to it, along with main vehicle harness.

Recently I had my 2013 Camry's front right fender replaced by a garage, but after the fender replacement I found the gap between the front right fender and the bonet is too wide compared with the front left side. After watching your video and heard that you adjusted the fender gap, now I feel confident that I can adjust the fender gap myself. May I ask if there is anything in particular to pay attention to while adjusting the fender gaps? Thank you in advance.
After adjusting, close the hood and doors very slowly and carefully while watching the gap, so be sure that nothing contacts the fender if it was adjusted too far.
