0:00 Intro 0:11 Flagship Trap in Ponziani Opening 5:33 Boden-Kieseritzky Gambit (Stafford Gambit for White) 8:59 Hanham Variation Trap 11:23 Fishing Pole Trap for White Great video.🙂👍
@3:32 "a really interesting moment in the game" & the awkward 20 seconds following this statement is the most interesting part of this video, ironically.
U need to repeat repeat repeat repeat repeat repeat repeat by yourself at real board to memorize it. Pro players practice and memorize positions at least 8 hours each day, lmao
Nicely presented. Thanks! I have just begun to play again (after a 20 +/- year hiatus :-) and was out here in the ethernet looking for tutorials, game tactics, techniques and examples, and came across you and your channel. Kudos for the YT video - it jogged the old memory cells and has me ready to set up the pieces and ATTACK! lol. You also got a new subscriber here, but think I'll also be taking some time to check out your other videos and classes.
10:20 There is one way I can think for black to defend the mate- Black's bishop to b4(check), White's pawn to c3(or any knight to block the check), Black's queen to e7(or f6). I think that will save the king (Note-white's knight to g5 and Black's knight to h6,so same conclusion) This is pretty tough situation so black actually loses more material than white does since black bishop may also be taken at the very end.

i have one question plz reply in first trap instead of taking b2 pawn if black knight take c3 pawn then checkmate not happen and may be material equal.
All these videos are quite interesting. I'm learning little by little. Define many people I play, most people I play utiliser pawns more to push. I guess kind of Simple playing?. The way I played starting out. Which negates hell are these setups traps.
I really enjoyed watching your videos of chess traps and gambits, and I wish to know if you have high profile chess traps and gambits for sale. Thank you
In the 3rd game when Knight moves to H6 and Bishop x Knight, why doesn't Black just castle? Rook protects pawn from Queen attack and hence, a checkmate.
I’ve watched literally dozens of chess trap opening videos and I haven’t once yet seen one where the trap can’t be stopped by a simple pawn threat.....
I love your name! The most Russian of Russian names! So 👌. Thank you for the lessons. Now. Can I remember them and apply them is the question. Well done sir
If ...Nxc3, White has to go back to playing boring chess and just take Black's queen. After Bxd8 Nxd5 Rc1 White is a piece up and still has an attack, although forcing mate may not happen. By the way, the same plan applies after ...a5 - take Black's queen to ensure a material advantage, and maintain that material advantage if you can't checkmate.

How to avoid these traps?
@ 4:42, is this better if we capture knight × C3
00

0:25 if black Nc6
5:41 if black Nf6
9:10 if black d6
11:40 instead of white Nf3 -> white Bc4

Good teaching! I'm a 65 yrs old man, used to be a good chess player ...enjoying your teaching and "chess traps".

U need to repeat repeat repeat repeat repeat repeat repeat by yourself at real board to memorize it. Pro players practice and memorize positions at least 8 hours each day, lmao
Haha same here

Thanks for the video. Many happy returns for tomorrow Igor. Stay safe.
Very nice attacking technique for white pieces sir, thank you so much. More power.
Happy birthday GM Igor Smirnov,,God Bless and have a good day.
Love the Ponziani -- thank you!
Beginning at 3:32 until about 3:50 you need to finish editing the dialog.
I thought my pc was having issues xD

The first trap really cool

Yes, also after loosing his knight at h6, he can 0-0, okay he looses a knight but not mate!
Happy Bday GM Smirnov
Happy Birthday from Bosnia.⚘🇺🇸
Very very interesting😊
Thanks for showing some of the excellent traps one can use.
You are welcome! 👍
Your chess videos are amazing. PLEASE MAKE A VIDEO BEST OPENING TRAPS FOR BLACK.
The Petrov defense line is just reversed Stafford with tempo
Happy birthday GM igor
First trap.. After bishop capture g6 and black queen h4. Wat the good move for white?
In the 4th game, white's attack seems to fall apart if Black plays Nd4 after White plays h4, instead of Black playing Ne8(?) as he did in the game
I think white can then play Qg6. The point about Ne8 is that it can go to f6 next to stop Qg6 being so useful
Hey, I like your videos, what program do you use for your board?
Happy Birthday GM
Very helpful video
Very helpful
I LOVE YOUR TEACHING
Very nice Igor...very well presented.
Good Opening Traps! Thank you!
Looks simple however, brilliant. Thanks!

Q
i have one question plz reply in first trap instead of taking b2 pawn if black knight take c3 pawn then checkmate not happen and may be material equal.
Sr tanks. More videos sr
Advance Happy birthday Sir
The same video for black would be awsome
these are very good IF>>>> your opponent makes the correct move--if not, your gambit must change course immediately!!
Incredible.........,thanks big fellah.💪
Very good traps
15:52 how about if black capture the knight first instead of queen.?
Flagship Trap in Ponziani Opening 7:16.
What happened if the black queen takes the whit horse, wouldn't that stopped the attack?
Blessed happy birthday GM Smirnov!!!
j
10:19 can't black play rook beside the king after bishop takes knight?
That’s what I was thinking too
If he does that the bishop will capture the pawn and threaten the rook, black has to move it otherwise the bishop will simply capture the rook.
That second one... wasn’t that the stafford gambit for white?
Wow! Nice!
7:30 u could even earn a pawn by doing kE5 because if he take the knight u'll take his queen with a bF7 in the next move.
All these videos are quite interesting. I'm learning little by little. Define many people I play, most people I play utiliser pawns more to push. I guess kind of Simple playing?. The way I played starting out. Which negates hell are these setups traps.

Superb video.
@ 4:42, is this better if we capture knight × C3
Very nice 👍
16:32 white knight can be taken by the black queen, instead of moving the black king in the corner for the checkmate.
It's a double check. Look at the bishop on b3.
Couldnt black just castle after bishop takes knight? @10:16
In the 3rd game when Knight moves to H6 and Bishop x Knight, why doesn't Black just castle? Rook protects pawn from Queen attack and hence, a checkmate.
16:20 Knight takes the knight on E7 foils the mate.
Look again. It's a double check from the knight and bishop.
Hey ...what if the black knight takes takes C3 pawn?
I’ve watched literally dozens of chess trap opening videos and I haven’t once yet seen one where the trap can’t be stopped by a simple pawn threat.....
which is the best chess app for pc
HVALA!!!
Happy birthday sir
if i could give it two thumbs up, i would

HAppy birthday
Happy Birthday Sir you are the best teacher in the world and i became CM due to you . Thanks!
Happy birthday 🎂
4:40 what if instead of night b2, knight to c3 is played?
If ...Nxc3, White has to go back to playing boring chess and just take Black's queen. After Bxd8 Nxd5 Rc1 White is a piece up and still has an attack, although forcing mate may not happen. By the way, the same plan applies after ...a5 - take Black's queen to ensure a material advantage, and maintain that material advantage if you can't checkmate.

There we can castel in trap 3
At 16:00 what if black kills knight on g5 it ruins the whole sequence
Very nice
In 5:30 itd not check mate, the king can get white pawn
No because of the bishop
What if Queen takes Bishop instead knight captured pawn.?
What is the name of this chess app?
12:52 second game - good stuff
In the first trap, black king can take the white pawn S it's not protected
Sorry, the white pawn is protected by white bishop
ایگور استاد چرا ایمیل آموزشی برایم ارسال نمی کنی ؟
Good evening
