    Dude that was unreal! I have a few good days on Elmer's island but nothing like that. I still have so much to learn. I miss when we could drive on the beach.

      Fishing is like anything else: there’s always a way to get better and something new to learn! I was little when people could drive down Elmer’s, but it’s probably better this way to preserve the beach!

    Great Video. Reminds me of my early days as a Damn Yankee in LA. I'd come to GI and fish Elmer's with my buddies. Back then - you could pay your 5 bucks and drive out on the beach and even camp if you wanted to. Anyway, we'd catch trout on Friday night until about midnight. Then we'd run to Thurston Watts to stay in the 35/night cabins. We'd get up before daylight and get breakfast and lunch. It was a diet coke or two and a couple of candy bars. That was it for all day. Then we'd fish until evening Saturday. I can remember cleaning fish for hours . The limit was 50 specs each back then. We'd buy a couple of pounds of shrimp, a loaf of french bread, some ketchup and some fries - that was Supper. Sunday AM we were up early for daylight. We'd fish until Noon. At Noon we'd start crabbing. About 4PM we'd head back to Baton Rouge with all the fish and a couple of ice chests full of Crabs. When we arrived at our friends apartment - there would be about 30 people waiting for the crab boil. I'd be so whooped - I couldn't wait for Monday to get back to work and get some rest, lol.

      Now that’s sounds like an adventure that should’ve been recorded!! That would probably have to be like a 4 part video. I can’t even begin to imagine cleaning that many fish.

    It’s fun just watching you catch fish 😂. It’s crazy how in normal day talking to everyone around here you don’t notice the accent, but you can tell on a video. Crazy. You are a natural on video. Keep it up Noah you are good at TH-cam videos. Me and my daughter might try and got this Saturday morning. What time normally is a good time to start fishing on the beach. It’s a good drive from thibodaux

      Thanks man I appreciate that!!😂 The moon phase and tides determine if you really have to be out there super early or not. I’m from Chackbay, so I know all about the drive to get down there in the morning. It’s always a safe bet to be fishing before the sun rise!

      @ClementChronicles  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Anderson-wk9rv Those are two signs to look for, but there are others as well. Any oddities of the beach itself can signal something that fish may gravitate towards. Reading the waves can help identify breaks in the sandbars that can also be very productive. I’ll make a video about all of that someday!

    How were y'all retrieving the plastic lures ?

    • @ClementChronicles
      @ClementChronicles  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Wyatt caught a few jigging, but for the most part I caught em with a steady cast and retrieve. In all honesty, many times there wasn’t much retrieving going on because the bait would hit the water and a fish was on already!😂
